I just dropped my daughter off at school, drove down the road, and saw the muffin truck turning (the truck's light was green before the video started). I immediately pulled out my phone to record.

I’m a trucker. I deliver to restaurants in the city. Subway, DQ, Sonic, Waffle House, and more. Thank you to the folks that give us the right of way. Thank you for backing up. Thank you for having the patience to wait on me as I back into a parking lot from the street. Thank you for understanding that we’re in a big ass truck and we need the space to maneuver around these tight city streets!

My most recent frustration has been assholes that drive 80 mph in the left lane on a 2 lane interstate going down the mountain then slam on the brakes right before going down the bottom of the mountain and matching the car next to them at 55 mph.... I'm a truck driver and I was into the middle of an intersection, turning left and a lady pulled too far out into the middle of the road and would not back up! She had no one behind her and I couldn't back up. I wound down my window and motioned for her to back up and she got out of her car and cursed at me and I told her I was making that turn, she'd better move back, otherwise we were both gonna just sit there and piss other traffic off! She had a car full of kids and she finally saw the writing on the wall and backed up! I yelled out my window "thank you" and went on my way.
This driver is actually behind the line.
I respect Truckers! I was on my way to see my youngest daughter, it was 🎄 Christmas. From RI. I had worked the 3-11pm shift. And i was trying to surprise my youngest daughter. I have 4 daughters and 2 sons. And i forgot to check the weather that night. I always do, but i was in a hurry. Anyway i hit a blizzard. Not knowing it drove right into it. White out conditions! So im go and i see this trucker come up aside me an flash his lights then he went in front of my car. Then i see another teucker come up on side of me and stay there, then another trucker came behind me. We drove like that for miles into Maine . Until i signal to get off 95, i was going up to Cambridge from Bango. But i pull onto the rest stop and thanked them because they watched over me. That was so long a go. I feel if thay hadn't done that i would of end up in a ditch somewhere, i was terrified and was thankful for the help. And protection. Andvi just knew i was safe. THANK YOU TRUCKERS!

I drive on the cross bronx weekly, and am so aware of the tough job truckers have, im a left lane driver but always go outta my way to let truckers in, can't stand the Karen's in the range rovers and bimmers that have no idea what its like to change lanes with a 40 foot trailer! As a truck driver I can say it looks like the person at least tried backing up a bit. Their reverse lights are still on and their vehicle is over the fog line. Some people just get nervous having to reverse especially seeing a big truck approaching. Driving can be scary, some people just could never learn to drive well. That's the nature of the road, not their fault. They look like they tried and the truck got through in the end.
It’s a shame how a lot of people today are so inconsiderate of others and only care about themselves and their needs

When I was a teenager, my driver's Ed. instructor drilled into our heads the importance of truck drivers and how they deliver everything we need. He told us to never disrespect them on the road, and I never have. 💯
ironically, where I live, they’re the ones driving drunk, driving reckless, causing all the accidents, taking roads that they aren’t authorized to drive on taking out powerlines taking out overpasses they are the ones you have to watch out for, where I live anyways, we’ve had several instances just recently with them driving drunk into oncoming traffic and this is on the interstate and then they brought their entire rig in the one case the guy was hauling cattle find out of state. He was drunk like three times the legal limit drunk, drove into oncoming traffic, rolled his rig, the wrong way on the interstate and killed some of the cattle. Fortunately, didn’t kill any other people, but the entire semi full of cattle was loose and scattering everywhere all over the interstate all over the exit ramps all over the neighborhood surrounding and highway patrol. Everyone had to come out there people volunteer horse trailers they had to drive down into the ditches and wrangle up all these cows I came through maybe an hour after it happened and couldn’t figure out what went on until I saw the news and was thankful that I hadn’t been rolling through there when it did happen, they really don’t exercise any kind of defensive or safe driving I get scared every time I have to pass one or get me a one when I’m driving they’re always swerving into other lanes. It’s actually very terrifying.
@@jordanalandry1866 i don’t know where you live but that was the opposite description of any truck driver I’ve ever met and i know a lot of them, i call them coworkers. We go through a ridiculous amount of training and are always taught to pay attention to everything. The best drivers on the road are truck drivers by far. I drive all over. I’ve seen horrible drivers and they were all driving a regular car. I’ve also seen some amazing drivers and they were all inside a big rig. The fact that you seem to have a grudge against all big truck drivers is wild. You are much safer sharing the road with us than you are with yourselves. There are bad seeds of course but most of the time CDL drivers are extremely skilled and are watching every thing around them. If something happens in front of me I’ll notice it and come to a complete stop while weighing 80,000 pounds before you notice it at all. We are all people and we all make mistakes but most truck drivers are great at what they do while only about 1/3 of the normal drivers on the road are good safe drivers. They speed, they tailgate, they swerve. They have road rage and they drive under the influence consistently. The dangerous drivers are in a little car not in a big truck. All those accidents you talked about in your area are terrible however I guarantee you that the amount of normal vehicle accidents in your area outnumber the big truck accidents by at least 100x. If six big trucks get in a wreck than 600 regular cars get in wrecks in the same amount of time. If you want to be afraid of a certain group of drivers then you should probably be afraid of the ones that didn’t have any real drivers training at all instead of the ones who had to go to school and have background checks done and be drug tested regularly. If you get hurt in a car accident i would bet good money that accident will involve another small car and not a big truck. Btw, most of the truckers in your area are from all over the country. But if you hate us so much then don’t buy anything from anyone because we are how it got there. We do one of the most important jobs in the world and we should get the respect that we deserve especially on the roads. The reason we get in accidents 95% of the time is because someone in a regular car was driving recklessly around us and not giving us the respect we deserve. We weigh 80,000 pounds, we can’t stop on a dime. It takes up to 15 seconds to come to a complete stop which is about 1/4 mile if we are at interstate speeds. We need room when we turn. We take up both lanes because we have no other choice. But people like in this video and like you from the sound of it, pretty much spit in our faces when they do crap like this. You don’t own the road. You may use it to get to where your going but it’s our work place, the road is our office. We spend our whole life on the road so you should be courteous to us when your there. We don’t come to your office and disrespect you. If everyone would be respectful on the road and share the road then it would be much safer. In this video there are 3 drivers. One of them is highly skilled and trained and spends his entire day worrying about your safety and your well being while also delivering your food and merchandise. The second driver is respectful of the first, is a good safe driver and shares the road and the third is a disrespectful jerk who shouldn’t be on the road at all and is most likely a danger to everyone around them like I’m assuming you are. Honestly you saying truck drivers are bad at driving is like you going to the NFL and telling tom brady that he’s bad at football. We are the professional drivers after all so a non professional amateur driver calling a professional driver a dangerous bad driver is ridiculous and completely out of line not to mention disrespectful. When someone works hard for a title they deserve the respect that that title brings. You call a doctor doctor, a nurse a nurse so you should also respect a big truck driver because they are professionals at what they do. Plus you only know a fraction of the driving skills they know so you shouldn’t be grading their driving at all just like you have no place grading a college essay if you didn’t graduate from high school. The biggest danger to the road is a regular person driving their small car not a truck driver doing their job. If you are afraid to pass a big truck then you should be absolutely terrified to pass a small car.
P.s. every time you pass a big truck the driver of the truck knows you’re beside or behind them before you realize you’re beside or behind them. They know where everyone is around them at all times. I always know how many people are beside me, how close they are behind me and how close they are in front of me. Plus we are much more scared of you passing us than you are of us passing you. Every accident I’ve avoided was caused by a car not a truck.
EDIT* you say we don’t exercise defensive driving and that’s hilarious. We are taught so much defensive driving that it’s engrained in our DNA by the time we get our CDL. We are taught to know where everyone is all the time and to always keep a great following distance. The things you said in your comment is mind blowing to me. You couldn’t be more wrong. When they taught me defensive driving part of the class was for all of us to get in a van and take turns driving and as we drove we had to point out how all the other normal drivers were making mistakes and how they weren’t driving defensively at all, we had to call out all the mistakes that were being made on the road. That’s the type of “defensive” driving most drivers use which is to say they don’t use it at all and that they don’t even know the meaning of the word. Btw, the only reason you hear about so many trucks wrecking is because when a big truck wrecks it always makes the news and it’s always bad. A normal car crash doesn’t spark much curiosity and a normal car can’t haul cattle so it won’t cause as big of a scene. I was in the fire department for a while, I’ve seen all the awful accidents that happen involving cars and they are just awful. I’ve never responded to an 18 wheeler crash though. I’ve been to hundreds of accidents but never came across a big truck accident. Big trucks only make up a small percentage of the total amount of motor vehicle accidents and it’s because we are taught to drive so safely. Also, driving those big trucks is extremely dangerous and difficult, we are bound to make mistakes but it’s not because we can’t drive it’s because there are so many bad things that can happen that it’s bound to happen from time to time. Regular cars on the other hand have no reason to wreck as often as they do but it happens constantly because most people can’t drive in the slightest.
I appreciate that your driver's ed teacher was making this a point of his teaching. Both of my brothers are truck drivers, and so was my dad. Because of this, I also am very respectful of truck drivers on the road.

I always back up for trucks. Rarely do you get a “thanks” on the road, but truckers will thank you every time for this.
I think you're right. It might seem like a small gesture, but when someone backs up for me to give me space, I always wave thanks, and the car driver waves back.
We're all supposed to help each other. Unfortunately, I've been in situations as the truck driver in this clip and it sucks.
Thank you. Saves us a lot of trouble and paperwork if we hit something. Then we get to sit and talk to a supervisor that's never driven a truck in his life tell us how we're supposed to drive 🙄
Almost* every time
Affirmative
Always back up. The disrespect is unreal. If I were present I would side with the trucker if there would be an incident.
These truckers are vital to the nation and are essentially our lifeline as they transport food, medication, tools and equipment, and a long list of general necessities. Don’t be an ass!
Truck drivers literally deliver everything that we need. How do people not offer them respect?! This is America. 😒
A lot of people don't know what respect is anymore
A lot of people don't even know what a brain is and how to use it.
A lot of people are actually slow, absent minded, and should never be behind a car. I've been with friends like this. And they're just literally not thinking about nobody else but themselves d*** narcissist.
some people are so damn ignorant and totally disrespectful it wouldn't hurt a damn thing if that driver would have put his vehicle in reverse I mean damn nobody was behind the driver that f****** driver of that car was looking for a accident good job tractor trailer driver come around that corner
I have the utmost respect for truckers without them we can't enjoy the fruits of our labor.
Utmost..not trying to be a dick, it’s a tricky one..and I do too..their job is way under appreciated by the masses
@@jas9239 Human era, thanks. 💯💯
👊😎
Our those delicious mini muffins he's carrying.
yeah and thank god for cement trucks because without them we wouldnt be living in these fake shitty cities and relying on the government and giant big trucks to deliver our food and could live how humans are actually meant to live and not have to be slaves who are gonna go hungry once these trucks stop working 💯
Had the car in reverse the whole time 😂😂
That’s a damn good truck driver 😮
Not really. At a guess this is a new-ish driver. He was set up for highway on a two lane road intersection. Had he pulled the axles forward instead of all the way to the rear (highway set up) his required turning radius would have been a fraction of what it is here.
Had he set up for the right turn by swinging to the left to the yellow line before entering the intersection then maintained that midline as far as possible into the intersection and turning "late" the trailer would describe an arc that puts the nose of the tractor into the right lane without ever violating the lane that the SUV is in. The arc is the same but the center of the arc is pushed left and forward making the trailer tires stay on the pavement and not encroaching on the other drivers space.
@marlberg2963 -oh, so you were there? If not, STFU because you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Yes they are!
THEY WANTED HIM TO MESS THEIR CAR UP
This is probably the same type of person that doesn’t pull over when an ambulance is trying to move past them.
Yeah
A man in the UK was fined because of that. He pulled into the bus lane to let an ambulance pass and also got three penalty points on his licence. There’s just no humanity anymore.
@@joey-xq3ei really? Damn that’s ridiculous. All cause he was trying to do the right thing too
@@keatoncollins2013 yeah but then when it went to court I think the judge struck it out. It should never have even went to court. Police should have known better.
@@joey-xq3ei that’s good to know the judge knew better. But still what an ordeal to have to go through.
To be fair the car is not required to back up has he was behind the stop line and also had a green light looks like the truck didn't prepare for the sharp turn as he was in the shoulder on the opposite side of the road but also it doesn't take much to just back up and give a bit extra room for the rookie drivers
Take that drivers license away from them.
Let's give the truck driver credit for how he handled that trailer!!
👏🏽 👍🏽
Who could blame him/her if (s)he rammed the inconsiderate b@stard!
I’d say truck driver was stupid to proceed I’ve been driving for 12 years .. he must’ve had a light load but if it was a heavy 45-50k lbs load it could’ve been worst trailer would’ve totally leaned on the side ..and flipped
But Lucky it was okay
I give him credit for not getting out and kicking the shit out of that ass hole 👍

If I'm coming to an intersection, and see a truck trying to turn. I'll wait back, or back up.
Car owner is like a cat who requires 1/5 of the space but demands 5/5
Some people don't realize that a truck driver sometimes needs a little help and a little courtesy would be nice from the car driver
Doesn't exist anymore, there is no courtesy from anyone
@dansobota3844: You are really very nice, but too kind to this person! 🌹 This type knows exactly what he or she is doing, sitting smugly and self-righteously in the car! Take from me, a woman who learned to drive 55 years ago in every conceivable scenario in city, town, and rural areas of New Jersey!
That was Karen or her husband Joe Ass Wipe.….
That’s what I said. If they think a jury would unanimously side with them, they are sorely mistaken. One look at the video, and the fact they could have moved, destroys their claim.
@@Candigale Exactly!!!
Some people are just assholes.
Unfortunately not some... but most people, at least when it comes to driving
@theamused8705
That’s ok; when I’d pull up on an intersection like that, I’d put the nose of the tractor as close to their front bumper as I could and then set my brakes!!!
They either figure out what they need to do or they get a whole lot later to wherever they are going!!!!
Who’s gonna be responsible if those trailer tandems drop into that ditch and it ends up requiring a wrecker to get the truck out of the ditch????
That car driver won’t be the one eating that towing bill!!!
Not to mention having to explain to a dispatcher or safety officer that you couldn’t negotiate a tight corner without causing the truck to need a $500-$1,000 wrecker call out!!!
My thoughts exactly!
Glad someone said it, so I'm not the only asshole thinking that! 😂
Most people are assholes
That's what sleeper cabs are for

People don't think what their life would be like without truckers
I like being polite to truck drivers. One day driving I saved ones life. He was trying to pass but changed his mind. I was smart and kind enough to stay back because it allowed him to get back in the lane. I passed him and I knew he was grateful.
Trucker: “I will deliver these muffins at any cost, I will not be stopped”.
After noticing that the truck was for muffins, the whole comment became funny 😂 nice one
Could hv cost him busted tires and or a possible rollover. Smh. If ppl truly knew what all truckers do and go through, there would (should) be a lot more respect.

By staying in place , the little car is essentially giving the truck driver his truck driving test
No mini muffins for this guy !!!
I’m a UPS package delivery driver and we really appreciate when you move out of the way for us when driving down or turning on a narrow street. I can’t imagine how challenging it must be for truck drivers to maneuver a 53 footer. Nothing but respect for that truck driver.
I pull a quad axle 53ft lowboy with a 330in wb 389 peterbilt and drive on roads most regular freight haulers won't. Its all in what you're used to and knowing what your truck can do and also you're capabilities. You could do it if you got out there and tried it.
666 gb ddr 6 ram, with quad Nvidia gpu over clocked at 33...with liquid cooling and a whole lot more that needed not written because quad high boy game
I'm a ups package car driver and I always look way ahead for feeder drivers at tight intersections ....I could never drive one of those things
I drove for Fedex for over two years, drove every truck they have, never was there an issue getting down a street or making a turn, learn how to drive fam.
@@jonathonbrewster5672 nobody cares.
As a new truck driver of 4 months, thank you tremendously to you courteous car drivers who give us space, time, patience and understanding while we maneuver up to 80,000 lbs of a 53 ft beast in extremely tight spaces.
You're more appreciated than you know 💯🔥🙏🏾
So are you, drivers! 🙏 ✊
You are appreciated for what you do for us. ❤️😎
Yo siempre doy chance a los truckers por que no es fácil maneobrar un carro tan grande en carreteras angostas
As a car driver, I apologize for the assholes out there. Thank you for carrying materials we need both for work and to live.
I reverse all the time. It's road. courtesy. Be safe and blessed out there.
Kudos to the guy filming this. He's paying attention! 😊 I am a truck driver. I love the absolute indecision that people experience when they encounter a semi truck. The car has its reverse lights on so they know that they are in the way. So they backed up, 3 inches?!? Give me a break. You not only have room to back up, but the vehicle behind you stopped when he realized that you were going to have to back up, to give you room. I bet the car has got a back up camera as well. Instead, you sit there in the way like a frightened toad. Situational Awareness folks.
My momma always said, if they are bigger than you, they have right of way. Regardless of the law. They need the room.
Share the road.
If I came to that kind of a standoff with a car, no one would be moving until the car did.
Someone’s got skills. And someone doesn’t have a clue.
Yeah the driver hasn't a clue...he almost tipped his load being impatient. The asshole in the car probably wants a payout. Smh this world has no chill
@@angryveteran5196 the "asshole in the car" backed up and got over onto the shoulder.. it's not the car drivers fault that the truck driver can't operate his rig...what else was the car supposed to do? Drive off the road into the ditch? Would that make you happy....asshole??
Well, legally, if the truck can’t stay in its own lane, it has to have lead and chase vehicles. If the turns are too tight for the vehicle, it is required to have lead and chase vehicles to block traffic and let it make the turn. Since he doesn’t have the required lead and chase vehicles, no one should let him make the turn. Lot of trucking companies get away with crimes like that because people are too stupid to make them stop. You make them either hit you or give up and park the rig until lead and chase vehicle show up. If they do hit you, it’s about 6 felonies simply because they don’t have the proper crew with them. 100% the trucker needs to be in jail.
