Blessed be HaShem for your beautiful home. I also want to thank you for these videos in both English and Spanish. The information you provide is very helpful in planning a home build in Mexico. 👍🏽
Hey James. For now you have more information that I had, when I started there want many videos out there explain what things were. I think safety is going to get better in Mexico the new president is much stronger on this topic then AMLO. That’s going to make Michoacan the hot new location for expats and people like us that love Mexico.
Very nice it’s coming along beautifully 🎉🎉. I’ve never seen the tinaco under grown! I like it. I’ve always seen it on top of the house or on the side. Good information thank you
Hello Michael hope you are well. Mike always nice seeing you on the chat. So the tinaco is still up in the roof but mostly only because I have a gravity feed solar heater. However later on Lord willing I will like to get a solar heater that can take the pressure, then I will be able to get rid of the tobacco. 😊😊😊
Looking great!! Slowly but surely my Brother. Always fun and informative watching your videos. God Bless you and yours for this 2025 and future of course. 🙏🏾
How you doing, the brick for the Bovada arch for the ceiling. that you were trying to explain goes the other way. wider side up 4:50 no big deal just a way for me. to help you commenting hear and say hi
Hello 👋🏼. Yadi? 😊 sorry if I messed that up. Yea the beams that we used are 4” which is the minimum that I could use, to support up to 1000lbs with out any issue. Later in March I hope to show an update when it’s all finished
I just want a small hacienda style house in Tepa. Two bedrooms would be fine. I’m just always shocked at how expensive it is I should probably get started at some point because it will be for my mom some day and I already have the land…
The prices shot up after the pandemic and it’s more expensive than most people think. I love the hacienda style homes. If I did things over again I would like to build an hacienda style home. About the cost when looking at it in the present day everyone seems expensive but as time goes on you start seeing the investment. For example I have spent about 135k. In 2020 that seemed like a lot , but 5 yrs later it’s nothing. It will be the same for you, when you start it will seem expensive but 5 years from now you will see that you made a good investment. I hope this encourages you.
Not just get started , but make sure to have someone on sight or there overlooking as the build goes , because most builders out there sure tend to lag 😅 ridiculous
Love all the videos about your house! I bought a house just outside of Colima and like your yard. Did you get your red brick edging in your front yard at a local place or a Home Depot ? I’d like to use something like that in my yard.
Hi Victor. Still loving the videos and advice. Even your videos in Spanish is take to work and my coworker Samuel translate for me 😂... So I have to ask, knowing what you know now and what you've been going through would you build again OR would you buy something already built and just move in? I have 5 years before retiring and Mexico still interesting to me and my coworker Samuel talking me into as well 🤷. Thanks again keep them coming
Hello Christopher, thank you 😊. I would do it again. I like the process of building. If I had all the money upfront it would have been nicer but I happy with the way things are going. But here’s the thing it’s been nice because all along it’s been both about building my future retirement home, and having a project me and my pops can do together, the second part being priceless. I also think you get more out of building then buying.
Does it make sense economically to just buy a house in chapala instead? It sounds more expensive to build but of course you get your own design building your own.
Hello Agustin. I think it’s a preference there is people that don’t want to worry about out building for X reason. Economically speaking I believe it’s less expensive to build then to buy, also around these areas it’s hard to find in expensive homes with the size of land like the one I have. Most properties here in Mexico are 20x 30 at the most. Sometimes 10x 30. Mines is 21x 66 more then double.
@yeshuaismyredeemer got ya. Yeah, you do have a big backyard, much bigger than average. My grandma has a house in Chapala, on Av Pepe Guizar and Calle Prof. Teófilo Silva Padre. I was discussing with my aunt if it would be worth to try to buy her house. Then I saw one close by for sell for $200,000 but it's really hard to tell what a reasonable market price is for houses in Mexico from the USA. 😅😂 I couldn't seriously buy until 2-3 years from now anyway.
So what would be really helpful is to create a guide and give contacts of builders, etc. Place it on a site for sale, let's say $19.99 and you have an opportunity for steady income. Some of us don't trust gringos selling to each other. We would rather build. They forget we go there because we don't have money and the real estate I see is like $350k and upwards of that. P.S. I still don't get your tattoos but blessings to you! JH
Lol on the tattoos. We are a family in Christ regardless of our differences. Thank you for advice. I think if I was in Mexico 100% it would be something I’d like to do to help people feel comfortable in building.

Hello. Thank you I’ll check in that I’m pretty sure they went horizontal. Are you saying they go vertical with the I beam?
Hi Victor! When the ceiling is on the storage, will it support people walking? Will it be usable as a terraza?

Hello and thank you very much. My Pops ordered it from a local vendor. Colima is beautiful, congrats 😊👍🏼
@@yeshuaismyredeemer it’s nice to get local vendors. To help small family businesses grow

@ most of the homes on Pepe Guizar are turning into business, so these home will go up in value due to that.
@yeshuaismyredeemer Ahhhh interesting point. Thank you. 👌
