    Played one. Fantastic. $1200 worth of guitar, easy. I want one.
    Knew a professional player (sessions, TV shows, big bands), he had one.

    Great find, the name just isn’t known. Crazy quality for the price! Actually really like the headstock on this.

      Me too! One of the better ones out there for sure! Sits somewhere between a strat and tele shape but looks great on either 👌

    Awesome guitar. That bridge reminds of the Ibanez Lo Pro models made by Gotoh, which are awesome bridges. Maybe Gotoh made a version for Godin? What an awesome find, I have no such luck when I walk into a music store :(

    Great review. I picked up one of these (the silver version) over here in Australia a few months ago. Ended up getting it for around $270AUD. Could not believe the quality for the price. Floyd works well, pickups sound great and it has a rosewood fretboard. The neck is a bit of an odd one that's for sure. Feels thick and chunky to me, but also narrow. I've installed my strings the same way you have too. 🤘😁

      Thanks a bunch and congrats on the new guitar! I agree - great quality guitars as long as you can get along with that odd neck shape. 🎸🙏

    Great review Dex! How would you compare the tonewood to mahogany body? Does the lower price mean that the tonewood is somewhat cheaper compared to mahogany or alder for example?

      Thanks! Honestly, I usually play more rock stuff with this, so I wouldn’t really be able to comment on tone wood with all the distortion going on 🤷‍♂️. I will say the tone from the pickups is quite good though. The body is quite light too, but I think that’s more because of the small shape and routing. Cheers! 🍻

      @@dexdeimos425 thanks for the reply. But what do you think would be a difference between these and a higher end model of shred guitar other than say floyd rose specs? Because these are criminally cheap for the sound they produce.

    • @dexdeimos425
      @dexdeimos425  Год назад

      Honestly, I own some “high end” shredders and as far as build quality, there isn’t really any difference aside from the licensed Floyd instead of a real one and the lack of brand name pickups. That being said, These pickups sound good to me and that bridge is incredibly stable. If I had to choose between this used and something like a new Kramer, I would choose this. Not only is the build quality impeccable but it’s constructed in North America, so I know that the labour force producing these is being compensated fairly. Oh, and it’s wasaaaay cheaper! 😆 You really can’t lose with Godin products - Cheers! 🎸
