When police officers have made a pre-judgement on the actions of auditors/drone pilots, it's like the old saying; "I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with facts." Cops always confirm the old saying: Light travels faster than sound. That is why so many appear intelligent until you hear them speak. No matter the country, corrupt police are all the same. They bark unlawful orders at members of the public conducting legal and lawful activities with the belief that those orders have merit. They are only put in place when those being bullied demonstrate a greater knowledge of the laws than the police.

It’s all about knowing where the drone is and which way it’s pointing. You can do this without staring at the sky 100% of the time, if you turn your back to talk to someone the drone is not going to dart off across the sky.

The laws of England and Wales - not necessarily the whole UK - grant a police officer the right to stop anyone for questioning. I also think I'm going to put blue or red tape on it to make it easier to have VLOS. Then cops can't use that as an excuse either.

The constable portrayed HIMSELF in a bad light - didn't introduce himself, didn't advise he was recording, tried to make things up as he went along....pretty poor performance.

17:00 Cop gets stroppy when spoken to in the same abrupt manner that he speaks to others.
He fails to understand that he has to act within laws, not by presumed authority.
    ‘..having a conversation..’, bullshit!
The cop knows about videographers but still acts like he has control over people.

It kind of drives me insane when people say "You did this to get a reaction". DUH. The whole point of auditing is to get a reaction BUT, it's to get GOOD reactions, not dopey people who can't mind their own business, tyrants and cops with bad attitudes. Until audit videos all have good reactions then its clear that using a damn camera in public is still taboo in some peoples brains. There are 8 billion people on this planet, most of them with phones with cameras, an estimated 1 billion surveillance cameras. The UK is the most surveilled country on the planet.
Kind of hard to believe that peoples attitudes to cameras are still the way they are, but also understandable considering how fast tech has evolved.
Regardless, thanks to DJ and all the other great auditors that go out there an educate politely so the rest of us dont have to :)

27:00 Police cannot legally detain anyone outside of arrest except in three specific circumstances. Breach of the peace, stop and search and when a property is being search. That's from a barrister (Iain Gould) so that's the law. They can ask people to wait or stay and sheeple will do so. But if someone wants to walk away the police cannot grab that person.
The police would have to make an arrest to lawfully detain someone who wanted to walk away. But that's paper work and admin even if the person is de-arrested within minutes. And constables hate paperwork. Mainly because their understanding of spelling and grammar is atrocious.

Your style of interaction (I won't say auditing) is commendable. You're knowledeable and polite and the police become discombobulated by your exemplary approach while trying to abuse your rights. Best on RUclips, look out AB.
