One thing I’ve learned, don’t be self conscious whilst using the camera, you get some very strange looks from bystanders captured on your footage. Starts some great conversations though😜
Do you have to throw the camera for the freeze frame affect? Wouldn't it work while biking/hiking on a long pole? I would think a freeze frame and look around effect would work in multiple situations. Either way, use some kind of a lanyard string that's long enough to throw but won't quite touch the ground.

After and initial novelty excitement phase I've found that I'm just not motivated enough to actually take the time to go through my recorded videos to apply effects. It can be very time consuming. I actually haven't even looked at any of the hours of my last several recordings. If I do finally get around to editing them I'll go back to my saved watch list of your great videos to apply what effects I can given how I recorded my videos.

Hello, one question about Cinelapse: I have a project that needs 12 shots that will be done during 3 months. I might save the files on an external drive. Do I have to put them back on the app (whether Ipad or IPone) to add the cinelapse effect? I have stored the first file, renamed it, but it is not working anymore on the Studio app on the Mac. At the same time, the SD card failed (although brand new and high performance) and it had to be reformatted. It was the first shot so I will redo it, but it does not seem a very mature product!

Ive seen some on youtube, where the guy is walking and talking, and I the viewer can do a 360 pano by dragging the screen but its video not Photos.. Would love to know how to do this.. wonder if it would work for real estate?
Unfortunately it’s a bit more limited… you will have to test it out for yourself to see which shots are possible. Would suggest changing it for One X2 if you can 👍

The freeze throw: what are those artefacts in the clouds that show up? Cinelapse: can you adjust what the footage focuses on or is it totally automated and you are at the mercy of AI's choice?

I hope GoPro's new 360 camera has a little bit higher resolution and a much higher bit rate. I'm not really a fan of the sub 1080 look from the current Max or this Insta camera.

I was thinking that if you use the bullet time cord, unrolled it a bit, and then threw the cam in the air, it MIGHT give you a bit of a safety harness on the way back down? Just don't drop the handle portion.
Not sure- the effect seems to be based around cutting between two different shots and making it look seamless. I guess that’s what makes it different to ‘flylapse’ which is done with one shot only.

I played around with the Xiaomi sphere when I was looking for a camera. While it is old, and won't be anywhere near the quality of new cameras, for that price, grab it!! You can at least use it to learn and practice while you save for something newer!!

I'm wanting to start using it again but curious if the latest software updates still support the original One X? The resolution specs seem to be the same as the newer cameras

I personally don't think these Are Cool Effects at all. The only 1 that seems worth it is the Clone feature. This Is Marginal and Only Acceptable in Limited Use. The Rest simply appear as if you have no Stabilizer Effect . It's Dizzying to watch. Annoying to Watch all that Unnecessary Bouncing Around . The reason for steady shot, Camera Stabilizers, is exactly Because a Constantly Moving Camera Is Simply too much to watch.

Clone loop would work best in overcast or minimal shadows, kind of destroys the effect having shadow getting cut off

I just gave in this week and finally bought a X2 to complimemt my X for motovlogging with some of these interesting effects.
Still no word on the Insta360 Studio being able to edit multiple clips at once?
You can import multiple clips and edit individually, but no it hasn’t become a fully fledged video editor at this point.

I think One x isn't supported
The One X has around half of the overall shots as the more recent cameras. Just fire it up and you’ll see 👍
