As a family, we’ve lived low carb for twelve months. My daughter and I have metabolic syndrome, both my children have autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and my husband has just been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS).
. Before embarking on our low-carb journey, I was 389 pounds. Since I discovered this keto article, I weigh 267 pounds. My daughter was 276 pounds and is now 209 pounds (95 kilos), my son was 231 pounds and is now 194 pounds . He “cheats” a bit while at university - and my darling husband was 254 pounds and is now 176 pounds. Every time we lose 22 more pounds (10 kilos), we treat ourselves to low-carb cheesecake. Thanks to keto diet.

Was 250lbs at 59 years old. Now 165lbs. Will be 61 years old in 2 weeks. I listened in to this guy about 10 minutes of this and that was good enough.
All the weightlifting and cardio wasn't powerful enough to stop the fat from coming. And they weren't powerful enough to make the fat leave. I tell people that I spent 10 years in the army. The army had us working out 3 days a week. Unlike most soldiers I worked out additional to that least 5 days a week for my 10 years in the army by weightlifting.
After the Army I never stopped working out. But all my decades of working out the fat would pile on when the eating was bad. EVERY TIME in order for the fat to leave I had to change my eating.
This time low carbohydrates did it. Now I'm looking RIPPED with a six pack. People are you amazed that my body looks ripped with muscles at my age. I was asked "Are you preparing for a bodybuilding show?" "What's your secret?" Low carbohydrates did it.

As someone who struggled with insulin resistance and weight fluctuations, discovering HyperKeto was a game-changer. Unlike fad diets that promise quick fixes but often lead to disappointment, HyperKeto offers a sustainable approach to weight loss and improved metabolic health. By limiting carbohydrate intake and prioritizing healthy fats, this program helps stabilize blood sugar levels and promote fat loss without sacrificing taste or satisfaction. Trust me, HyperKeto is not just a diet-it's a lifestyle transformation.

@@sec2ndlyfe well I would suggest getting a carb counting app. I make a smoothie in the morning that helps me get at least 60% of my daily fat protein and fiber required in the start of the day. In the smoothie:
2 scoops Vega One Protein and maca powder
1 Carton unsweetened of 10x protein Orgain almond milk (40g of protein in one carton)
2 tablespoons of chia seeds (high in fiber and protein)
1/2 cup of raw walnuts (high in fat protein fiber)
1/2 cup of Macadamia nuts (high in Omega 3)
      Table spoon of MCT oil.
6 Brazil nuts (these are super high in selenium so you don’t need more than 5 or 6 a day. These help with thyroid function and hormones)
Truvia sugar / Ceylon cinnamon (REAL KIND) / nutmeg / ginger powder / vanilla for flavor. Blend it all and you have a huge chunk of your required Keto nutrients taken care off. And will keep you feeling full for at least half the day.
I also take two table spoons of cod liver oil lemon flavored at any given time of the day. Along with salmon oil supplements. This helps with adding up the required healthy fat intake. The more omega 3, and less omega 6, the more your body becomes a powerhouse. This also helps with not eating too much unhealthy fats.
Once I start feeling hungry. I go for keto snacks or quick foods that aren’t too much to make.
My favorite is the Purdue chicken strips in the blue bag, hard boiled eggs from the market, chicken sausage links from Trader Joe’s, fish sticks, home made bone broth soup, homemade seafood soups like clam chowder with added shrimp, scallops, mussels, might broil some sea bass fish, bag of pork rhines, I always sprinkle olive oil on everything, make a favorite salad I always include guacamole in my salads, chicken or turkey jerky, Trader Joe’s blocks of cheese to eat with the jerky’s, I avoid other nuts because they’re too high in omega 6.
By the time dinner comes around I just try to make something that won’t go past my carb limit which is usually a good amount left since most of what I ate earlier wasn’t carb heavy. Think of it like saving money for your favorite spending moment. I had all these carbs saved up I can now eat comfortably for dinner.
I stayed on a 60 carb limit and drank lots of water and lemon juice. I also have a cold press juicer where I’ll juice through out the day but limit too much fruit. The carb counting app will usually tell me which fruit is too high in carbs.
This may seem like a lot. But I promise it isn’t. Once I did the research on all these foods. It all made sense. And it’s not hard at all to form a routine.

You probably aren't but I dropped 30 in my first 8 weeks. If you get diarrhea, cut back a bit on your saturated fats as your liver can't produce enough bile to keep up. I had the runs all the time and felt really weird because I was losing my electrolytes. I fixed that problem and I'm back on track and feeling good now.

@@quokkapirquish6825 I temporarily stopped keto because of the diarrhea/feeling weird issue until I did the research and realized what I did wrong. I haven't been counting macros so I ate too much saturated fats that my body wasn't adjusted to process. I've restarted my keto (though sometimes violate the carb level and go into low carb range) and have added 18:6 intermittent fasting and have lost 4 lbs in about the past 2 weeks. I eat at 11 am, don't snack, then have my other meal at 7. Fasting blood sugars have gone down from high 90s to low 70s but can bounce a little, apparently glucose sparing which is normal for a fat-adapted person. I'm working on tweaking my ketosis levels, at the moment the blood reading is 0.5 which is the lower end of ketosis.

Hanin Almamri Hanin. Cut out all sugars, in whatever form they are in - no bread, no potatoes, pasta or noodles.
For the first 2 weeks just do that. Eat as much fatty food as you like, omelettes, chicken salads, any meat, if you want pizza or burgers, get some almond flour and make Keto pizza or burgers. Do not let yourself be hungry. Have coffee, have milk, snack on nuts. Do anything but avoid all sugars, carbs. Within 2 weeks, you will have lost 4 kg. Keep doing it after that, research it. You must control your blood sugar, if you do that you will not be hungry. 75% of your calories should come from fat or you will snack again.
In week 3, your hunger will be under control, you will be in Ketosis and burning fat. Then you will have the power to use your own fat as fuel, you will be fat-adapted, your body will use fat as fuel (not glucose) and you will lose all your extra weight.
It is not your fault that you are obese, your body is running on sugar which depleted easily, you must switch it to run on fat, of which you have plenty.
It worked for me. Do it, it will make your life a million times better.

    • @quokkapirquish6825
      @quokkapirquish6825 3 года назад +5

      Hanin Almamri Do it!!!
Zero sugar, zero bread, zero carbs (only a few carbs from green vegetables.
      Eggs and meat for breakfast.
      Avocado snack
      Chicken salad lunch
      Nuts snack.
      Kebab and salad for evening.
Coffee will fill the space too. Tea is better. If you have to go out, have KFC, no fries though, only the chicken. Plenty of sources of recipes. Stay in Ketosis, lose 2 pounds a week and never ever feel hungry. Within 12 weeks people will notice you are different, and you will remember how easy it is. At that time, you must not go back but you will have unlimited energy as a fat-burner, you will want to go and exercise and you will think faster and clearer. It will change your life, as it did mine.

Check out RUclips for keto recipes for cookies, cakes, I substituted cauliflower for rice. I did go back to eating bread, whole wheat. You can do it. I also walk a mile everyday. Not in a Gym just around my neighborhood. Start slow, like cutting out sweets and soda. You’ll see results fast. Take care.

Hey guys! So a lot of people have expressed their concern about my high protein intake during keto. In my video on the basics of the ketogenic diet select.myketocustomchallenge.com I spoke about how there are two kinds of keto diets -
1)The textbook keto diet (high fat, moderate protein)
2)Bodybuilding based keto diet (moderate fat, moderate-to-high protein)
Throughout my 40 days of keto, i followed the latter. My priority was to maintain muscle mass and this style of dieting worked for me! If you aren't a lifter and just want to burn off fat, just bump down the protein and bump up the fat macros that I've shown in this video. Hope that clears the air.

The fact that you can eat meat & dairy is a big one for me, avoiding pasta, normal bread & processed foods, I can do & as I am planning to be around & active for my grand kids for many more years, I'm going to make the effort to try this & see if it works for me. On a lighter note, who was waiting for a crash of lightning & that guy to let out a maniacal laugh & say something like, " quickly Igor, get some keto on the slab now ! " ?, just me ?, that's ok I get that a lot.

I am also doing a moderate low carb/loose keto diet. What I slowly learn is, that the most important thing about everything is: You should be happy and do what you want. You should not try to challenge or force you to stop or not eat anything.
If you have a craving for one or two bananas a week, just go for it, savor it. feel good about it. Enjoy your life and your food!
I had a Schnitzel All you can Eat and ate two big sizes, with just a bit of french fries and thought "well, lets see how much i gained today after this tasty treat"... i lost 2 pounds.
The thing is: experiment, find new stuff, learn about everything. its an adventure that lets you feel good. Try new stuff.
PS: I learn that I really don't like avocados xD

Your videos provide common sense advice in an easy to understand way. An inspiration to my personal ketogenic diet journey as a Type 1 Diabetic. I think it's important to understand the "why" behind the "what" that so many other channels don't provide...they only talk about "do this" and "do that" with no reasoning or thought behind the why. This is one of the few channels I watch every day to grow my understanding of the keto diet, why it works for diabetics, and how to improve my health on my own keto journey. Thank you!

I found out I was prediabetic a few years back. My doctor advised keto. I lost a stone and felt great. During the last lockdown I have gone off the rails a bit as had two bereavements. I feel sluggish and have gained weight back. I am starting keto back tomorrow now.

After talking to a friend about how recently I've put on weight and am sickened by the physical side of it we got to talking and they told me the keto diet would be my best solution in losing weight and thinning out. I told them that I couldnt do vegitarian or vegan becuz I love chicken and fish. After looking into the keto diet more and seeing the physical transformations of people I really want to try it, not only to look better physically but to feel better about myself, along with hearing it has health benefits as well with heart disease and high blood pressure, which I struggle with it being hereditary in my family. I think the keto diet is definitely something to look into for myself and for my overall health.

I gained so much weight during quarantine...I lost my job, and was so depressed and just everything that went in made me gain weight. I moved in with my sister who was living with the idea of KETO dieting due to the weight gaining as a genetic issue. I have lived with her as of day 40 today, I have lost 52 pounds to date. I am so excited. I am down and am not feeling like I am starving to death. Believe me, I have dieted all my life due to the potential for gaining weight as a genetic issue. I am so excited about how this diet has helped me get control for my weight problem. Thank God for the whole Keto diet and my sister for helping me understand my own issues.
