Been working great! I'm steadily losing weight, but not at a dangerous, rapid pace. Cravings have lessened a lot. I'll probably switch to a low-carb lifestyle after I'm safely in my health goals instead of full keto, but I'm glad I made this change.

Ahmed, its been a week. I started out with a water fast for three days and came off the fast day four. Lost five pounds. My goal was to transition into doing the intermitten fasting, with Keto diet to improve my health, especially spiritually. Today, I start the intermitten fasting for a three days. Dr Andreas Eenfeldt, thank you! I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes at 40 and I managed to control it only with diet. Just simple no sugar and low-carb diet. I am now 46 and at the routine check up I was told that I will have to be on medication from now on... I asked for some time to try and reverse it. I heard about the KETO diet from a friend who got so slim with it that it was astonishing. So I want to try reversing my diabetes to the point where I can avoid medication. I am still not on medication, but time is of essence for me. I must do it right for quick results, so I can stay medication free, at least for as long as possible. I have just started watching your videos, which I think are absolutely amazing! I have big hopes and big determination. 100% true, last September i decided to go with the offical Canadian guide, eating low fat high carb, milk, oats, grains, yogourt, 100% jus, rice, in January i went to see my sport doctor i had gained 2 inches on my waist, did not fit into my 40 inch jeans.My sport doctor got me on the ketogenic diet, and intermittent fasting, i lost those 2 inches fast, note that even when i was doing the low fat high carb diet i was eating less doing exercise and controlling my portion size and counting calories, and yet i was not losing Nothing.Ketogenic diet is the way of the future for ultimate health, at some point you will not crave sugar anymore and look forward to eat those high satisfying fat meals.For me there is no more going to Mcdonald at 3am in the morning, getting 20 Timbits at Tim Horton, or going to buy candy at the gas station. Such empty food.

I have been on the keto diet for 2 weeks already. Week 1 I lost 11 pounds. I followed a meal plan and that was it. Week 2 I made my own meal plan and started to count calories. I tried to stay under 1500 calories. I noticed that I only lost 3 pounds week 2. You say not to count calories but if I eat more calories than I burn won’t I put on weight? I guess maybe because the diet is so high fat it won’t store as long as eating carbs would.

I don't think you need totally eliminate rice from your meal. you can eat a little quantity of rice whenever you badly miss it. U shouldn't force your body/ taste bud to lose weight overnight.

I think a lot is to do with GMO as well. Genetically modified starches seem to be a serious cause of obesity and diabetes in S Africa. Probably not politically correct to tell the truth though
A word of caution: when your body starts using fat as the main source of energy if the liver breaks down fat at a fast rate then this could lead to acidity in your blood causing ketoacidosis. This condition is exacerbated in diabetic patients.

I would like to eat healthy and stay away from junk food. The problem is that in a ketogenic diet you delete a whole group which is fruits and we need nutrition which is unique in fruits. Is keto a temporary or permanent diet, if I want to get all nutrition that the body needs without any supplements?
On a ketogenic diet, vitamins and minerals are plenty bioavailable from quality meat sources. Dr Georgia Ede is an excellent source of information on this topic.
