When I was searching for a good left handed bolt gun to purchase, I compared all the different brands and models. I was disappointed by some of the oldest manufactures, but was really surprised with the Tikka action. The bolt was smoother than anything I was seeing on the shelves, and the readily available left hand options at the same price made it my next rifle. I have a T3 lite, stainless in 243, with a Boyd’s At-one thumb hole stock and a Mueller 12-24x50 optic.
@mountaintacticalcompany the tac a1 is super accurate!. Anywhere from .3 to .5 inch groups at 100.I have purchased a few things from you guys great so far.
I own 4 Tikkas. Tiika T1x (22 cal), Tikka t3x (.223 Varmint), Tikka Hunter was .308 but converted to 6 Creedmoor, only kept was the action, and Tikka T3x 6.5 Creedmoor Varmint. All have same reduced trigger spring and are tack drivers. Luv them!!
My main go to for center fire accuracy. 26” Proof Research SS barrel, KRG Bravo chassis, MDT 20 MOA rail, Leupold Mark 5 Hd 7x35 scope, with Hornady 108 gr. ELD Match, it will do 1/2 MOA at 200 yds off bench
Hi . I'm a recent owner of a T3x.in 30 .06 . Poly stock . If I wanted to switch over to a wood stock , is it possible ? Great video series. Well done Sir .
@@wayne8276 Classic cartridge that will serve you well! You can drop your barreled action into a wood stock without any issues. Be aware, Tikka does not kiln dry their walnut for stocks, so be sure to bed the action so accuracy will remain consistent. Cheers!
Definitely! We finished filming that installment yesterday, and I showed how easy the tool makes disassembly. That video was tough to film because there is so much material to go over when explaining everything the bolt does. It could easily have taken up an hour of RUclips space, haha!
@MT When are y’all going to come out with your Gen2 223 mags? Called over a year ago and one of your guys said they were getting ready to come out. Makes me think you scrapped them.
We are just waiting for the new injection mold for the followers. The bodies have all been cut and are ready for assembly once the followers are done. We're hoping to have the mold completed next week and to start assembling mags the following week. Cheers!
I have the tac a1 in 6.5cm.I have a leupold mark 5hd pr2 reticle atlas bipod.arca from mountain tactical and bolt knob from mountain tactical. Also have the t3 hunter rifle.
Great question! We have the design proofed and are waiting for our patents to be finalized. There is a lot that is going into our trigger that we want to protect. Cheers!
Tikka has used many threads over the years. M14x1 M15x1 M18x1 and 5/8-24. If you have a rifle that is threaded and you are not sure what the thread is, a quality gunsmith can measure the threads and let you know what they are. If you are buying a new rifle, Tikka prints the muzzle threads on the box next to the model description. Cheers!
Love the in-depth video topic T3x. Thank you and great idea!
Thank you for the feedback! I wasn't sure if there was anyone as nuts about Tikkas as me.

That sounds like a great stick! How do you like the At-One?
@@mountaintacticalcompanyI love the custom feel to it, and the weight/balance.

I own three Tikka T3Xs.... CTR .223, TACT .308, and Super Varmint 7mm Rem Mag. Love them all.
How do you like the 223 CTR? They were discontinued here before I could get one
@@mountaintacticalcompany It has true Tikka T3X lineage. An absolute tack driver and pleasure to shoot.

Love my t3 varmint w/ mountain tactical bolt knob and mdt stock.
After proper load development, I get consistent 3/4 -1/2 moa
That's awesome!
Love this new series. I need more info on pros/cons of a suppressor on a t3x superlite.
That’s a great idea for a video!
@mountaintacticalcompany that would be great I'm still in the waiting. 7 more months I hope!!.

When you go over bolt dissembling could you demonstrate the disassembly tool you guys sell? Thank you

Great video! My question would be...How much bigger is the ejection port of the T3X vs the T3?
It is a negligible difference. My fat fingers still can't fit into it.
Have 20 Tikkas. Never got any tools with any of them. One Tikka I bought did not have a mag with it either
And I thought we had a Tikka addiction! This was the first time I've received one with no magazine. How was the process of getting a replacement?
@@mountaintacticalcompany 1 phone call to seller, 3 days later, mag arrived

@@mountaintacticalcompany both of my tikkas shoot well. The t3 hunter shoots .5 to .7
What is the ctr torque? Plastic stock with metal bottom metal. The way the manual reads is 62 but it’s not the Tac.
I'm glad you asked! You have one of the manuals that has an incorrect torque spec. 40-45 in/lbs is where you should torque your CTR. Cheers!
Are you all currently working on the single set trigger for the Tikka or did you terminate that project. Thanking you in advance!!!

My Tikka T3x came last month (August, 2024) and it’s missing the magazine too! Embarrassing for Tikka… Need to call the reseller or Beretta…
Crazy!
