Ive got both in 6.5CM. Tikka is easier to shoot tighter groups with (and thats with several samples of Tikkas and HMRs that friends and family own.). Tikka has the better trigger, and has the odd advantage of being able to swap from short to long action chamberings with a simple bolt stop swap. The Tikka's action is smoother and less prone to binding. It also has the advantage of a 70 degree throw which some people prefer (I can take it or leave it). The Bergara has a better factory stock by far, and has a decent advantage in aftermarket support. If I were to recomend one to someone who doesnt want to change or upgrade the gun at all, then get the Bergara just for the stock alone, the stock is great. But if you plan to change the stock, then Tikka is the better platform to make a semi-custom out of imo. Especially if you get the new Tikka T3x Supervarmint. If you want to get a Bergara and replace the stock and trigger and barrel etc..., then just get a custom action to begin with. Bergaras shine brightest when left in stock configuration in my opinion. Thats where they represent the greatest value.
Tikka 100 % over Bergara and the Tikka TX3 Varmint with heavier barrel and trigger upgrade is phenomenal! I wasn't paid to say that. Just bought one today.
Had a Henry 223 Long Ranger. It shot well but after 8-10 rounds it would walk all over a 100 yard target. I sold it for more than I paid for it and bought a Tikka T3 varmint rifle. That big barrel really made a difference. Several of my friends came up and we put about 100 rounds through the Tikka (5 of us shooting 52, 55, and 64 grain bullets at 2 gongs, 8” and 4” at 250 yards. Consistently hitting both gongs regardless of the bullet weight. I also have a SAKO 50+ years old, thick barrel in 22-250 and it shoots as accurately. Best rifles I have ever fired. By the way I am 84 years old and shoot golf balls at 50 and 100 Yards as a hobby. One of the few things I am still able to do. I will probably do a video when it cools off a little bit.
In Europe Begara won't make/sell an HMR in .223 Rem. Apparently the Spanish Govt won't allow them to make them for the European market so I was told by a Spanish sales rep. Instead I bought the Tikka T3X CTR, 24" barrel , 1:8" twist and love it.It's accurate, like the double stack single feed mag and the standard trigger is fine for me breaking at around 3lbs.I'd still like a Bergara HMR at some point and will probably go for a .308 or 6.5 creed...One of my favourite channels and always look out ofr your video's so keep up the good work.. Regards from England.. :-)
Great review. I have to admit I wasn't expecting the Bergara to get so many of the categories. I have a Begara, and love it, and for fairness I don't have a Tikka, but everyone I know that owns a Tikka swears by it.
I’d take the Tikka, regardless of the categories it didn’t win. Bergara 90 degree bolt lift is a hard pass for me. I’d rather not drag my knuckles across the scope every time I run the action. Also I’m not a fan of the lack of a bolt lock on safety. Another hard pass.
Yeah and it was OBVIOUS that he was having trouble opening the BOLT on the BERGARA even when empty & I've owned pretty much everything outside of custom-made rifles ✅
I was having issues with neck sizing my HMR to. When I switched to the Full length resizing that fixed all issues I had. I highly recommend the HMR to its a good rifle. Unless you want a lighter rifle then Tikka is your choice.
I just bought the bergara b14 hmr in the 6.5 Creedmoor and after my barrel break in I shot a 3/16 group at 100m, and that was on a fairly windy day. My brother then shot and got a 3/8 group at 100m. The bergara is a laser beam so far. I can’t wait too stretch it out. That was with the Sako TRG Precision target rounds 136 grain. So far that’s all I’ve shot out of it. I’m not reloading yet but plan to shortly.
European here.. was deciding between the HMR and the CTR myself. Went with the HMR in .308, taking it out to the range for the first time tomorrow! Interesting to see the price comparison. Here, the Bergara is around 1300€ while the tikka won't be less than 1600€ (CTR; 20"). Interesting to see you give the point for the barreled action to the HMR. Keep up the great work!
@@ChaoticCarl86_YT Haven't ever shot a Tikka, but I'm more than happy with the Bergara. I do really like the gun stock and the height adjustable cheek piece. With loads of patience I'm getting around .8 MOA groups, which is plenty good for my use. The trigger is a good single stage, haven't found the need to adjust or upgrade. The bolt runs very smoothly. I'd prefer the B14 in 3-lug bolt configuration vs. the Rem 700 style two-lug, the 90 degree throw is a bit much imho. All in all, if you're planning to buy an upgrade stock anyhow, you might wanna go Tikka, but the B14 is an amazing piece of kit out of the box. I'd buy it again any day of the week!
Allow me to point out that if you're left-handed, your choices on the Tikka (a gun I love, by the way) are limited to non-existent. It was quite easy to find a left-handed Bergara recently. Which is why I now own one of those too.
I also have both these rifles, although my Tikka is a .223. Both are nice shooting rifles but I would have to give the nod to the the Bergara for overall best, as you did.
I have a tikka varmint in 222 which I use for scoped competitions out to 200m. I won a nationals, states and set Australian records straight out of the box. At 100m with 20 guns 2207 and 52 grn hpbt sierras it shoots ragged one hole groups at 100m.
Watch out all the tikka fan boys are going to be pissed about this video😂. All the guys hating on bergara go try one out that action is definitely better, I was the same way until I felt it in person. they’re both great guns. I’m looking at getting a new rifle and I’ve been doing a lot of research on both. Had my mind set on a tikka until recently when I held the bergara for the first time. Everyone knows bergaras stock and barrels are better. Until recently I thought tikkas action was better. I was at sportsmans looking at both tikka/bergara and the bergara has the better action. It has tighter tolerances and just runs smoother. From what I’ve seen on RUclips the accuracy is a wash. The only thing tikka has that’s better is the trigger and it adjusts 1/2 pound lower than bergara. There is way more aftermarket support for the bergara too
I've shot both rifles in 6.5 creed. Both are equally accurate. The tikka has a smoother action and the trigger breaks cleaner on the tikka. The tikka also cycles with less effort than the Bergara. That being said the Bergara stock is noticeably stiffer. Shooting on a bench with a bipod the heavier stiff stock of the Bergara is at an advantage. That stiffness comes at the cost of a weight increase. The Bergara is built on the 700 action and there fore suffers the lack of a safety that locks the bolt.. If your hunting with a gun that shoots just as accurate as the other, but one has a safety that can insure my action doesn't come open accidentally and can cycle rounds with ease every time and weighs less. I'm choosing the one that can insure my gun bolt stays locked and is lighter and cycles easier. Both are great guns ones just seems happier on a bench and the other happier in the woods. It seems guns are always getting compared based on similar prices. It would be nice to see some comparisons based less on price and more on intended use. Say a tikka 3x upr vs. Bergara Bmr 14. They dont match up price wise but style wise they do.. just a thought.
My last 2 big game rifles were a Bergara Wilderness ridge 6.5 PRC and Tikka t3x lite 6.5 creedmoor. My next rifle is likely to be a Bergara B14 Hunter 30-06 and the next one will either be a Tikka or Bergara. Honestly in the $700-$1000 price range, these 2 rifles are at the top of the mountain in my opinion. There are other rifles that are good. Kimber, Howa, and Weatherby... But the Tikka and Bergara are bringing a lot of "bang for your buck"!
Alex, regarding the accuracy on your HMR: did you remove the paint from the pillars, where the stock touches the action? If not done already, you could get an easy improvement if you do so. It's an easy job with Q-tips or scotch brite and acetone. Check and remove the paint also from the underneath the stock: where the trigger guard touches the pillars. One additional possible improvement could come also from the bedding of the recoil lug..
Thanks for the review. I see tikka varmint is a little more accurate than Bergara ! But i am interested to know which one is more accurate and can did the job better when it comes to long range shooting , I mean 1000 m+ ? I am planning to buy a rife for hunting and long range shooting , so i wana choose one of them.
Little details matter and on the Tikka you can change out the barrel without a gunsmith (except maybe removing the barrel initially as they are on tight) and the Action can be changed from short to long by simply by using a different bolt/bolt head and moving the bolt stop. So basically the action on Tikkas can do it all. I've owned a HMR and they are great but would definitely go with a Tikka CTR and build it up from there.
Change the bolt head?????????? Not hardly. I have two T3's, 308 & 6.5X55.. Oh and a T1 UPR rimfire. Changed out the the bolt stop on the .308 so I could use the longer 6.5X55 mag to run longer bullets in the .308. "the Action can be changed from short to long by simply by using a different bolt/bolt head and moving the bolt stop".
Hi Sergei, there are lots of options that will not cook your barrel, even a 6mm creedmoor will do about 2500 if you don't shoot 10 rounds one after the other. My prefference is 6.5 creedmoor, it's estimated you can get around 6000 rounds out of them
Did some long range shooting with my t3x lite stainless in 223 and fell in love with this type of shooting. Soooo now Im looking to buy a rifle in 308. Got alot of fmjs in 308. I use them for shooting at shorter distances on moving targets with my sako 75. So, anyways. What barrel do I get? Shorter threaded or long barrel? Does it matter? If it doesn't I'm considering the new bergara b14 extreme hunter Sierra model with the short barrel. Had a gen1 of those before. Shot one ragged hole at 100m. For now I can only shoot out to 300m. Thanks for all the superb content!
I got a stainless varmint but really couldn’t get behind the stock. I got an MDT ACC chassis and it is now sweet, for less than the tac from tikka. I can get it to shoot .5 to .7 MOA time after time. Using SAKO precison 6.5 creedmoor rounds.
Thanks. Great review. I have 5 tikkas and love them. That said comparing things like accuracy using a tikka that has after market stocks etc isn’t necessarily a like for like comparison without at least taking the additional cost into account.
Thanks for posting the video and confirming my selection. I’ve been debating a B14 HMR or Varmint/ Super Varmint T3x and I’ve decided on the B14 HMR mainly due to its compatibility to the Rem 700 and shootability straight out from the box. Love the T3X and how slick the action is, but the Bergara is very nice too. Although the plastic bolt shroud used to bug me, alot.
@@imeprezime1069 I bought the B14 HMR for the reasons I highlighted. Love the fact that customising it (albeit it’s already a great rifle) is a breeze with more aftermarket options. Paired it with a Arken EP5 shooting 168 and 175 BTHP hand loads to a decent sub-moa (0.65) group. I don’t think you will be disappointed with either rifle. I chose the B14 HMR because it’s priced cheaper where I live. Best of luck with your option.
I own both rifles…my HMR is chambered in .308 and my Tikka CTR is in 6.5. They are both great shooters. I bought the HMR to use as my hunting rifle because it’s a great platform as is. The Tikka I turned into my project gun and put it in a new chassis because the CTR stock was lacking for what I wanted to do with it (I needed an adjustable comb to make it more comfortable). Both guns shoot great. My Tikka has a smoother action, but I’m splitting hairs honestly, they are both great. I do prefer the 70° bolt on the Tikka to the 90° bolt on the Bergara, but I am using them in different applications (Tikka for faster, precision shooting vs Bergara for 1-2 shots for hunting), so it’s not a big deal for me. The Tikka trigger is more consistent as well, but again, not by much. I enjoy both of these rifles and you can’t go wrong with either one.
Im going to start shooting PRS. Im thinking about getting a t3x varmint stainless. Thats pretty much descided. Now 6,5x55 or 308? Shorter barrel with supressor or long barrel? I know 308 can handle short barrels, but 6,5x55 kinda need longer barrels. What do you suggest? Selling a few guns to finance the build. Putting an Arken Optics EPL4 4-16x44 FFP VHR MIL on it.
Very nice presentation. I listened closely to what you had to say but I watched even closer to your range work. You appeared to struggle working the Begara bolt on almost every shot. With the Tikka the bolt worked flawlessly and quickly. I’m interested in why you think the Begara bolt was smoother? It sure didn’t look smoother in this video.
Nice video, but why does the free floating matter if the accuracy (precision) is compared already? Perhaps the more appropriate comparison would be between HMR and Tikka T3x Tactical, or UPR or Tact A1. I just cannot be neutral as a Tikka T3x owner :) I love mine in 30-06 for hunting. Cheers!
Thanks you, we’ve been waiting for this review! I agree with most of your assessments, but I wouldn’t agree that the Bergara HMR action is “beautiful” 8:12 as you had some serious struggles getting the bolt open & closed 7:33.
Hi Jared, yes, quite true, i should not have represented it with that section of video, those were some neck sized sounds and they occasionally get a bit stiff to extract, while fully resized rounds went in and out with ease, thanks for the feedback
I added a EC tuner to my HMR pro amazed at the small group sizing . I also own a Tikka in 7 mm REM mag . It also is a good gun and light for hunting. I plan on passing these down to my Grandchild .
Given that your biggest criticism is the trigger on the Bergara, I would argue that I'd still buy it. The Bergara uses a Rem 700 format and so you can replace the trigger with a Timney, Trigger Tech, Jewel, etc. etc. etc. Not so much with the Tikka.
Just wondering why you didn't compare the Bugatti to the Tikka t3x super varmint? The Tikka t3x super varmint comes with all the extras where is the Tikka t3x varmint does not.
It looked like you were really really struggling with the bergara bolt on video. I know it's smooth but it can't beat the tikka if you can't eject and chamber a round fast. Can it?
I'm this ---- close to pulling the trigger on a new Bergara B14 Hmr in 22-250. Probably going to order me one on Monday. Any thoughts or feed back is Welcome
Most likely it's use will be plinking & small game hunting coyotes, rabbits, crows and squirrels...I just pulled the trigger on one of the Bergara B14 HMR 22-250 and by that I mean hopefully Santa Claus will bring me one....now where can I get some Ammo
Great review. For hunting I prefer the more standard stock do to the elevation movement from the angle but end . I find it easier to adjust for the elevation. You not gonna carry all kinds of rear rest in the field. If you do more power to you
Truly enjoy your informative videos. I recently purchased a Bergara 6.5PRC HMR Wilderness and very satisfied with the rifle. That said, what pic rail do you have on the Bergara for a bipod? What bipod do you recommend? Thanks, Jg
You said the Bergara has a super smooth action but I saw a couple clips of the bolt getting stuck when you were trying to extract. How much of a problem is this for these rifles?
I think those are just his hand loads that he was having issues with. The couple folks I know with a HMR don’t have any issues like that with factory target or hunting ammunition.
Thanks I just bought one tikka 6.5 creedmore thanks for helping me out now I need a good scope not so expensive I’m a new shooter have a great day thanks 🙏🏽
I’m a new shooter and was leaning towards a tikka but I also like that bergara you have I wanna get a rifle I don’t have to change and which is the better shooting rifle in your opinion?
Good question, if the CTR stock wasnt stillf just a cheap polymer stock then id go tikka otherwise Bergara. Now i just bought the Tikka UPR in 6.5, and I have never in my life seen a rufle this accurate. Sub moa accross the load development. Not sure if they did something differnet on the UPR but its way more accurate than any of my other Tikkas and Bergaras
Bergara for me, but I would invest in one of those great Trigger Tech triggers. Any of the available models will do wonders. I have the Special model on my Bergara. Great piece of precision engineering.
I have the Bergara but found it's really too heavy to pack around the forest hunting. Great on the shooting range though. Looking at a Tikka t3x now for hunting.
Hi there, I very much appreciate the effort you put into your nice info-clips and like to ask you a question since i have not been able to get an answer yet. I am considering purchasing a Tikka T3X and like to find out if they are available in the 5.56 caliber too? I am looking forward to hear from you and send my best regards your way.
Its kind of odd that you gave the barreled action point to the HMR considering we see you struggle quite a bit more in the cycling with it on video compared to your videos showing you cycling the action on the Tikka.
I disagree on the barrelled action brother. Tikka gets the point.. Especially when every clip of you racking the B14 it looks jerky af or it won’t lock in mint 😊. Where you rip on the tikka so hard and it’s take it and looks fluent af
Excellent review of both. I really appreciate that you did this comparison because these are the two that I'm actually looking at buying. I'm looking at getting a 22- 250 I see that the Bergara offers a 1 in 9 twist for the heavier bullets which I plan to shoot. Not sure exactly how heavy of a bullet I can go with 1 In 9 think I would be safe to 80 grains which pretty much covers me because I plan on shooting between 60 and 75 most of the time. The Tikka is it traditional 1 in 14 but I do see that they have two different twist rates fast and slow for the 223? So I'm not sure if the 22 250 has that option or not? Do you have any suggestions for me? I was also even looking at maybe spending a little bit more money on a Seiko varmint if I can get a fast twist. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thank you
Hi Brian, great question, yes if the bergara has a 1-8 twist it will be able to stabilise the heavier bullets although im not sure you will be able to find factory 22-250 amunition with 75 or 80 grain bullets. If you reload then you are set. The tikka being a 1-14 twist will only be suitable for very light bullets such as the 55gr. Personally id go with the bergara if you reload. Both are pretty great guns tho. Thanks for watching
@@EpikArms I plan to reload. How heavy of a bullet do you think I can go with 1 in 9 twist? I know the 22 creedmoor wildcat guys prefer 1 in 8 or even 1 in 7.5 . I think the 1 in 9 should work because I plan to use 60 to 75 hunting bullets not so much longer match bullets. Thank you 👍
I've got a Bergara and put hole in hole.. got a Tikka coming and hoping for the same. As far as the bolt of the bergara it's super smooth after break-in,as far as the Tikka I only hear great things so I'm looking forward to shooting it. I've got over 3000 rounds through the bergara and haven't had one issue. Again, I'm hoping for the same with the Tikka. The one complaint I do have is the Tikka I have costs $900 with tax and it doesn't have a threaded barrel, very cheesy. But that's it, no other complaints...yet
Not to slam any other manufacturers here because they all make good rifles. But Tikka doesn’t make good rifles. They make GREAT rifles. I’ve owned two now and would never go back. Tikka is top notch and their slogan is not a joke.
Hey man, love your vids! With your extensive experience, if you had $4000 CAD to build the baddest, most stylish LR (1000 yards) rifle as possible, what would you do?
This is a bit unfair, you mentioned you had the tikka for years and thus developed great loads for which the gun love. And you are more familiar with said platform thus shooting better. Also you have probably over several thousand dollar upgrades in the form of the MDT chassis which no arguments league better than the Bergara stock. And yes tikka stock trigger is much better thus lend itself to accuracy, You also has a muzzle brake on the Bergara thus may affect the barrel harmonic and stiffness. The varmint does have thicker barrel profile so yes it does do better. I would wager if you go with hmr pro with their stainless barrel and trigger tech trigger, no muzzle brake it maybe different story

Honestly in the $700-$1000 price range, these 2 rifles are at the top of the mountain in my opinion. There are other rifles that are good. Kimber, Howa, and Weatherby... But the Tikka and Bergara are bringing a lot of "bang for your buck"!
Hello, great video! Which option of the two would you take to alternate shooting and mountain hunting?
Thank you!
Can’t beat a tikka t3x for hunting. I just purchased one in 308. Currently have two in howa.
Is your 308 in varmint or lite?
T3x lite
Alex, regarding the accuracy on your HMR: did you remove the paint from the pillars, where the stock touches the action? If not done already, you could get an easy improvement if you do so. It's an easy job with Q-tips or scotch brite and acetone. Check and remove the paint also from the underneath the stock: where the trigger guard touches the pillars.
One additional possible improvement could come also from the bedding of the recoil lug..
Hi Mamiz, no i havent done that, great idea, ill try that
@@EpikArms you can find experiences on these easy improvements on the Bergara groups on FB you are already part of ;)
Cheers from Italy.

Your not hunting if your shooting 10000 yards away learn to stalk
@@browningmaxus5360 He said he would be long range shooting. Sounds to me like you're being critical just for the sake of being critical.
I’d like to see you do a comparison with the Weatherby and the Bergara. I’m trying to finger what I want.
@@Flatdec1 ?
which caliber is cheaper to get for long range shooting so that you don't have to replace the barrel every 2,000 shots? ;)
Hi Sergei, there are lots of options that will not cook your barrel, even a 6mm creedmoor will do about 2500 if you don't shoot 10 rounds one after the other. My prefference is 6.5 creedmoor, it's estimated you can get around 6000 rounds out of them
what ammo does your tikka t3x in 308 get the most accurate with?
I like Tikka however the twist rate in 22-250 is 1:14 while the Bergara is 1:9 in the same caliber. Leaning towards Bergara. Your thoughts?
Let's go with the UPR review, there's very little out there about that rifle at the moment.
Currently working on that one, it should be completed in a week
Wish I could get my hands on that tikka in 223 here in the US. Its blue on black varmint, or cerakote on green super varmint or nuthn.
Calm and professional video. Was very interesting and useful to look. Thanks for video. Good job!!!
Thanks Mockba!
I got a stainless varmint but really couldn’t get behind the stock. I got an MDT ACC chassis and it is now sweet, for less than the tac from tikka. I can get it to shoot .5 to .7 MOA time after time. Using SAKO precison 6.5 creedmoor rounds.
I like my Tikka, but I am loving the look of those Begaras :D
Love my Bergara and like the idea of the T3x Superlite!
Thanks. Great review.
I have 5 tikkas and love them. That said comparing things like accuracy using a tikka that has after market stocks etc isn’t necessarily a like for like comparison without at least taking the additional cost into account.
Yeah i didn't get that.
Have you bought it yet? If so, what are your toughts of the rifle, would you suggest it, and does it have any issues or bad points
The Tikka all day. I have a B-14 HMR in 308, and it is HEAVY. The b-14 is great for road hunters.
If you only look at the hmr model i agree. My b14 hunter has a perfect weight and balance for a hunting rifle
What kind of muzzle break is on this Begara HMR rifle
I myself have 5 Bergaras, 3 HMRs, Woodsman and an Approach. All excellent rifles
Looking for my first rifle and narrowed it down to the Tikka and Bergara. In the end I might end up attempting to end both.
T3x 223 will shoot sub about anything you throw in it. I'm 63 and always shot 700's the old ones but now I'm going Tikka
I own a few tikkas my brother ownes bergara came from factory not ejecting shells replaced broken part. Btw its in 270 win shoots great.
Cheers!
Tikkas barrels are cold hammer forged and Bergara are button rifled.
Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast
AI mags or tikka mags which do you prefer?
what's the difference from 6.5 Creedmoor Tikka t3x Varmint vs Tikka t3x CTR?
I added a EC tuner to my HMR pro amazed at the small group sizing . I also own a Tikka in 7 mm REM mag . It also is a good gun and light for hunting. I plan on passing these down to my Grandchild .
hi John, ive been thinking about those tuner breaks, just havent tried them yet!
What about aftermarket barrels for Bergara? It's not compatible with Remington 700 barrels.
Question what’s your setup on that tactical .308? Mind shooting me the details?
@dakotadean52 so there were 2 tikka In the video, 1 with. Xrs chassis one in a Oryx chassis and one without a chassis with a athlon midas tac scope
It looked like you were really really struggling with the bergara bolt on video. I know it's smooth but it can't beat the tikka if you can't eject and chamber a round fast. Can it?
Hi, Mike, while yes there were some issues extracting, that was due to necksizing, when fully resized it doesnt have that issue. Thanks for watching
Which barrel is better?
Did you notice any difference between 20 inch and 22 inch barrel tikka rifle?
Hunting left and hunting. I was looking at laminated prc 6.5. What your choice
Thanks for the (as always) very helpful, informative and very good review!
With the bergara you forgot 243, 7mm-08, 7mm rem mag, 300 win mag and 30-06. I have a bergara b-14 hmr in a 7mm-08.
If you do more power to you
Tikka just launched the new T3x SUPER VARMINT in 6.5 PRC !!!! they listened to the people =)
Ohhh, i want one!!!
Id like a Tikka in 6mm creedmoor! Takes them a while to bring out new chamberings.
The rifle I want, in 243……if only they made a left handed bolt version.
Got them both
Bergara HMR in 308
Tikka t3x varmint in 223
Love them to bits
Yeah...i plan on HMR in .22-250 and T3 Varmint in .270 Win, good to know you're happy with both
Truly enjoy your informative videos.
So you like the bergara better than the tikka?
Tikka
Thanks I just bought one tikka 6.5 creedmore thanks for helping me out now I need a good scope not so expensive I’m a new shooter have a great day thanks 🙏🏽
Great review. Thank you for this video.
They are two different guns. Why compare them. The upr is a better comparison?
I would take the Tikka every day of the week, no brainer for me.
Put on a red snake tactical bottom metal for Tikka. LA or SA. Uses AICS
I would hands down go with the bergara. Without a doubt
I’m a new shooter and was leaning towards a tikka but I also like that bergara you have I wanna get a rifle I don’t have to change and which is the better shooting rifle in your opinion?
the tikka was the better shooter oout of the two. keep in mind I only have 1 bergara and 4 Tikka's my experience with the Bergaras is somewhat limited
The Tikka CTR adjustable model does all that your Bergara but better. They come in LH or RH stocks too.
I cant find them in USA
Here is the tikka fanboy 😂
Hi there nice videos can you recoment a preefit barrel for my tikka 30-06 ?
Between a Bergara HMR vs Tikka CTR, which one would you pick?
Good question, if the CTR stock wasnt stillf just a cheap polymer stock then id go tikka otherwise Bergara. Now i just bought the Tikka UPR in 6.5, and I have never in my life seen a rufle this accurate. Sub moa accross the load development. Not sure if they did something differnet on the UPR but its way more accurate than any of my other Tikkas and Bergaras
@@EpikArms the UPR barrel is free floated Abbott 3 more inches then the CTR. Slide a piece of paper under the barrel of both and you'll see
Bergara for me, but I would invest in one of those great Trigger Tech triggers. Any of the available models will do wonders. I have the Special model on my Bergara. Great piece of precision engineering.
Awesome video! I loved! Thank you!! What is the stock you are using in your Tikkas? Where can I find it? Thanks
hi Rodrigo, thanks for watching! i was using the Oryx Chassis and the XRS chassis by MDT
but the Tikka is stainless steel ?
I have the Bergara but found it's really too heavy to pack around the forest hunting. Great on the shooting range though. Looking at a Tikka t3x now for hunting.
Look at Mauser m12 great accuracy
Hi there,
I very much appreciate the effort you put into your nice info-clips and like to ask you a question since i have not been able to get an answer yet.
I am considering purchasing a Tikka T3X and like to find out if they are available in the
5.56 caliber too?
I am looking forward to hear from you and send my best regards your way.
Hi John, yes I have one in .223
Its kind of odd that you gave the barreled action point to the HMR considering we see you struggle quite a bit more in the cycling with it on video compared to your videos showing you cycling the action on the Tikka.
Tikka t3x tac a1.308 vs bergara hmr .308 pls tell me which is better thanks
Tikka tac a1 100%
@@EpikArms thanks alot you made my day ❤️
Great review, but accuracy testing is not equal considering your Tikka’s are in expensive chassis, and the Bergara is factory!
Thank you 👍
PPV offers .22.250 cal in 75 gn pointed hollow point. Shoots as good as hand loads in my Remington 700 VSSF-P
@@donkennamer171 What twist rate do you have in your Remington? Thanks 👍
@Brian Lee …. Which rifle did you end up with ? I’m in same boat right now. Trying to decide between those two in 22-250.
Alex, what do you think about the KRG X Ray to TIKKA?
I have never tried one yet, but they look great!
How is tikka compared now? Ibam thinking between t3x lite and b14 thumbhole
@@kristijanmedved6066 I would highly recommend the bergara, without a doubt
WHAT AND WHERE, CAN I PURCHASE THAT GORGEOUS BIPOD, YOU HAVE ON THAT BERGARA B14 HMR SIR???????👁
That would be the Cadex falcon lite bipod (with spikes) its really nice
One thing that you didn't mention nor grade is the bolt lift angle...
I couldn’t decide what one to buy so I got a Sako cheers Yogi Australia 🤙🤙
what bolt knob is that on the tikka in the xrs chassis? please and thank you!
that is from mountain tactical here's the link; tikkaperformance.com/product-category/tikka-t3-t3x-2/tikka-t3t3x-bolt-handles/
Not to slam any other manufacturers here because they all make good rifles. But Tikka doesn’t make good rifles.
They make GREAT rifles. I’ve owned two now and would never go back. Tikka is top notch and their slogan is not a joke.
So where would one go to buy just a bergara barreled action? All I see on their website is for fully put together rifles
You will need to find a local dealer and place an order
@@EpikArms I'm guessing the cabelas of the world can't do that? 🤣
You don't say what the footprint is of the Tikka ? Bergara better stock could you put the Tikka in a Bergara stock?
Hi S Nova, the tikka has a "tikka" footprint and the bergara has a remington footprint. So switching stocks would not work.
@@EpikArms Shame the Bergara is a nice stock with the metal in side making it very stiff.
Oh, this video will get a couple of millions views!
Thanks Louri, I hope so, so far it is doing very well!
Ive been really interested in a 6.5 HMR. Thanks for doing this review!
