As someone who's used Falcon Omnisphere and alchemy this is actually very straightforward easy to understand plug-in thanks for your recommendation. Just bought it.
Great demo introduction to Myth, I think it would be clearer if you lowered the background music a little as it seem to be battling with us hearing what Myth is totally doing. The energy you put into your videos is simply amazing.
The background ambience compliments the design process in my opinion. I might have hyper focus and not get distracted easily, but for me the ambience is the build up and at the end of the design process it is all understood in context.
Thanks Chris, this really helped me understand better how this synth works. It's one of those things that's a bit vague until someone really lays out the design approach and there's a moment of "oh, so THAT'S how it's meant to be used!" I'm soon going to start work on the final track of a four-track mini album and I wanted a lot of cool textures in it - this might be the tool I'm looking for...
Too quirky. The resynthesized sound is much harsher than the original, even in the latest 1.5 version. The pitch bend seems to work for new grains only - the in-progress grains are not affected by it. Probably same is true for MPE Y modulation? Hard to tell, I couldn't make it do anything noticeable even though I see it's mapped to something. Basically no matter which direction you wiggle your finger in MPE mode, the sound doesn't change much. But if you do a huge MPE pitch bend, it's heard as multiple notes played separately. The Release part of the envelope seems to be unpredictable, sometimes takes longer sometimes takes less. I do like how in most presets the attack is determined by the velocity? I'm often trying to set up my own sounds similarly. It's good for certain slow pads with the traditional keyboard guess, and excellent for cinematic ambience. Not so much for any regular music.
I've bought all the other wonderful Dawesome plugins (during sales) except for Myth. This video has helped me to better understand this strange, brilliant synth. Thank you, S1gns 👍
If this isn't a sponsor video, why the disclaimer about receiving a small percentage from our purchases ? I don't mean to be rude but ... Isn't this just sponsored content with extra steps..?
Sponsored video = company asked and paid Chris to make a video about a product. Disclaimer about purchase = just an FYI that if you buy through the link I provide, I get a small cut (i.e. product has the cut included in the price, if you buy through Chris's link, he gets it, if you don't the company keeps it). Dawesome did not ask Chris to make this video, so it is not sponsored. Based on the time and effort Chris put into making the video, if you decide you like it and want it, then he is providing a link to purchase it, but wanted to be above board and say that he gets a cut, rather than hiding that fact. There are a lot of review videos on this channel. Some sponsored, some not. Some have links where Chris gets a cut, some do not. Sure, you could spin it as he is trying to promote a product so you buy it and he gets a cut, but ultimately, this is where he derives an income, so it makes sense he'll include links where he may financially benefit from them if you decide to use them. As long as the reviews are genuine, that's all that matters.
Does it matter either way? Dude's dropping knowledge to us for free on here. I don't get why fellow synthers and music makers are not in line with getting compensation for hard work.
So many machines, so little time, so little money 😆

Great Stream!! Thank Chris!

its almost like a mixture of Synplant 2 and Native Instruments Form
and Phase Plant
Why did yt never notify me about a new release? Btw myth sounds / looks like a beast for ambient.
90 days is a really great amount of time for any demo, let alone fully functional. Thanks guru!
Is there a preset pack from you for Myth?
Hopefully in 2025! Stay tuned...

It would have been better, had you muted the background track while fiddling with new sounds.

no
@@robmlisanti I wasn't sure after "n", but when I saw the "o" it made sense. I didn't consider that...
In some ways this whole channel is a sponsor video for one product or another. But it's also good
