Dawesome makes some of the most unique stuff out there atm. Madrona labs come close. Would like that he would design the UIs of Tracktion's own plugins, they confuse me to much to use them

I prefer Novum over Myth, even though Dawesome advertises Myth as its flagship synth.
Novum was love at first hearing. The moment I discovered it, I just knew I had to bought it right away. I'm glad that at that time I was lucky enough to get it on sale.
It's a fan favorite it seems. It's very unique and so versatile
Completely agree. Novum is absolutely fantastic. Personally I didn’t like myth. Kult is my second choice from dawesome.

I'm considering this for granular, unless I can find a good hardware option, but after seeing a review of Myth, I'm a little reluctant to buy Dawesome products.
I saw a video review of Myth, and in that video its resynthesis really didn't perform very well. Among the resynthesis engines I have (Serum, Phaseplant, Icarus3), I'm really happy with Icarus3 for generating wavetables. Unless I've got the parameters all screwed up, Icarus seems to blow the others out of the water.
And then Harmor is just unbeatable for single-point-of-time timbre and being able to scrub through a sound. No wavetable output, but the sound engine quality is insane!
This one is pretty great, definetly not your standard granular synth but that opens up more possibilities
it is misunderstanding that MYTH the resynthesis doesn't perform well, it is by design, that you get the results you get. and you get a great bandwidth of results. MYTH is for making new sounds a great soft synth, i can know, i made some factory presets. and the number of personal presets, is in my case, almost as large, welll.... half of the factory presets, that is still a lot of presets, from a lot of samples.
the IRIS, is specifically designed to extract certain kind of information from a sample, to say it in the most simple way. that IS not underperfomance, it is a different approach like Serum or Phase Plant or Vast Dynamics Vaporizer 2 (last one is free, and will blow you out of the water, i like it more than Serum, that i have used as a demo only by the way, but that was enough to... wel).
wavetables are indeed a kind resynthesis, that also depends on some things, if it really works well most of the times. it is by the way additive resynthesis (that is spectral without inharmonics and noise=(unpitched) information), that 90% of the wavetable synths use..
so; information also get 'lost', but not problematic
Novum is a spectral-granular soft synth, the spectral side is for me the most important side, well the granular engine is made for it playing the spectral info, for each layer a granular engine.
so is it really a granular soft synth or is it spectral synth with granular playback.... or is it spectral-granular.
i used Novum a lot, a lot, also a butt load of presets, and used it in many tracks.
both are different, but both are powerfull.
if you want resynthesis, with the least flaws, go to HALion 7, the spectral synthesis... Harmor is also great by the way, have it too...
it is what you want, as result, but don't confuse the IRIS with Harmor or Serum (or Serum like soft synths). the IRIS, i repeat, is special approach to extract information (not all), and manipulate this information....

Myth is too much. Novum and Abyss are enjoyable to explore.
I liked Myth a lot, specially bacause you can immediately render the audio. But I agree that is more complex to explore
NOVUM IS SO EERIE AND NOT OF THIS REALITY!!!
Novum is a beautiful granular Synth and more. Unfortunately, Myth is a broken promise, for me, and it is a great waste, because with a different resinthesis engine it would have been perfect and with unprecedented potential. As it is now you have to fight to achieve something really good. This is also demonstrated by the presets which are only discrete. I hope that in a future update Myth will be able to offer all its potential.
I like Myth tbh, but I understand there were some expectations not met with everyone
As far as I'm concerned. Novum-Abyss-Kult. The other Dawsome plugins I'm all like 🤷♂️
