i generally don't like synth demos where there is a lot of talking (it's why i like a creator like DataBroth so much)... but the sounds combined with your voice have an asmr quality. also you are quite articulate which is more than i can say for most of my countrymen - americans

I can confirm that the CPU hit is light. On my three year old i7 playing that 6 layer patch with long grains, a 5 note chord and a ridiculously long Clouds setting, I was hitting around 25% peaks on a single core...and that was the beta version...
Love Novum, but there are fairly easy ways to layer granular layers, modulate, efx... love the visual interface though. Somewhat overpriced I think, but it’s on my wishlist...

My trial version has a burst of white noise after about 3 minutes for about 5 seconds, with a screen prompt to BUY or click OK? why is your copy not have this, is it because it's a review copy?

Very limited amount of sounds in this video, basically just washed out pads. Would be nice with a bit more variety in terms of texture (beats? drums? field recordings?). Hard to understand the potential of the plug-in otherwise.
Abyss doesn't have the granular capabilities of Novum, so you can't import your own samples, but the spectral processing can actually give similar results for Pads & Sustained sounds...

Not too much - its highly optimised for low CPU consumption! Two users with 10years old laptops were part of the BETA team to ensure this works fine.

Ableton here and I don't crash just don't have much use from this plugin with its inability to load up .aif samples.

Not sure why that is - try downloading again as there have been a few updates & the trial version should be free of any restrictions...
