While Paul chases his neverending quest to write a top 10 "hit single" for his own validation as a "great songwriter" i.e. the dreadful 'Say Yeah', Gene gives the fans what they want..meat 'n potatoes no bullshit classic rock. A little Zeppelin inspired riffing here on this one.

I love all the lineups of KISS but there's one lineup I think would have been cool to see. Gene, Paul, Tommy, AND Eric Carr. I think Tommy and Eric C. would have sounded so cool together. May Eric C. RIP. Hope he's enjoying the show up there as much as we are down here :)
This song would be PERFECT for Gene's bass solo! Why don't they keep playing this song, and use When Lightning Strikes for Tommy's song and solo instead of Shock Me.
If every song KISS created sounded like "God Of Thunder", "War Machine", "The Devil Is Me", "I Love It Loud", "Unholy", or "I'm An Animal" I'd have no problem with that. If this song was a person, you wouldn't mess with it.
+Gregory Alan Bailey : The songs you mentioned were all songs by Gene, except Paul wrote God of Thunder. Totally fitting his image of the "Demon". Combine them all together, and you bet if they were a person, FEAR! Ha Ha.

This is a killer track! It was great that Kiss supported Sonic Boom playing a few songs live! Definitely an underrated album!
