I m really impressed... Ace left KISS 12 years ago and we still can find people saying: "Oh my god! This is not KISS! Bring Ace and Peter back!!" Stop crying like babies!!! KISS is forty years old now and I m very happy to watch this band doing incredible concerts around the world!
If you don't want current KISS then don't watch! Simple as that! It's pretty shitty to go looking for videos you don't like just to tell off the people who do like it. That being said, they absolutely tore it up here! Love this show and Tommy and Eric are awesome and have payed their dues!
There's no denying they're great musicians and they have definitely payed their dues. My only real complaint is they look so much like a cover band it becomes really distracting.

grew up with Kiss.1976 me my best friend rocked with them every weekend. use to make our own makeup out of smut from the chemliey and crisco greese.All black make up.We where 13 or 14 yrs old.Two six packs and KISS ALIVE ONE was all we needed and a little weed.My beast friend rely did play the drums.I played the broom bass.spit ketchup out for blood and lighter fluid for fire.we had such a good time back then,no computers little tv and all the out side we needed.
Oh now I just thought of also saying I do like this live video of Kiss singing and playing Dr Love, but I still do like the studio recording of it too.

And having seen KISS back in the 70's (along w/ Zep, Sabbath, The Who, The Kinks, Deep Purple,etc), I can assure you the music they put out today isn't enjoyable. KISS today is more like a tribute band, & in actuality, I've seen better tribute bands....when your lead singer's once powerful voice is gone, it's time to pack it in. They had their glory days, but time has passed them by....sad but true.
@Mssmaimone I've never agreed with Tommy and Eric wearing Ace and Peters makeup but as long as Gene and Paul are in KISS I will never miss a show..You just have to grit your teeth and thank God we can still see Gene and Paul live...
Preach it brother.I love Ace and Peter.And wish they were still in the band.But Singer and Thayer make KISS sound better than ever live! Ace never could sing.And got sloppy.Peter was a good drummer.Not sure if he is any more.But last time he was in KISS he sounded good.He and Gene just couldn't get along.And He and Ace were very close.So when Peter left in 80,mentally Ace did too.In 96 when the original band toured,they felt like kids again.Too bad it didn't last.Current line-up.Awesome LIVE!
while they may to some not seem like they where back in the day they are still kicking butt. the longest band or group life even if they have had to regroup a little along the way they still are kicing butt and believe me i am a fan so strong that when they put me in the old folks home they will probably be constantly calling family asking if i can be delt with because i will be playing kiss and it will probably be all night long and a little to loud.
I hear you. I disagree. I think we're still defining what it means to be a rock and roll artist, or what is rock and roll. Guys in the 40's had big bands and they were all changing members. A LOT of bands in the 60s and 70s had multiple line up changes, so much so, that you could never really knew who was original or who was a replacement...its all good. I think the thing here is to simply enjoy the music and the experience. You make good points, though.

Every band that plays Rock am Ring brings it and plays amazing. This is one of the best versions I ever heard.
