  • How did the Honda CT 125 go with a Pillion passenger on the back . Its only a small 125, but I was very impressed with its performance . I rode around the Central Coast on a nice sunny day and had a great time .

    This little bike will give you all the adventure you dream about and some more. Even with two people this will take you anywhere.
    I hear people say that going two-up you need at least 650cc... They are wrong. Great video!

      The CT Hondas are great bikes , the 125 is the best though . I wouldn't be traveling 2 up too far on one , but 1 up they are more than capable of going anywhere . I have a lot of fun on it ,that's for sure . thanks for watching and commenting . 👍

      @@robfur I agree, and yes still have mine. It's the most forgiving bike I've ever ridden. I even took mine on a very brief ride one handed after my rotator cuff surgery of recent. Can't do that on many bikes 😉

    Curious, if these bikes aren't sold in the UK, how is that you are literally riding on one in the UK? Did you have to personally figure out and do the whole import thing? Was it expensive to do? Are there any legal issues with MOT and registration? thanks!

      I found the same with my wife on the back. I was quite surprised that the handling characteristics hardly changed at all with my passenger. In the past I rode a Kawi KZ750 and that was an entirely different bike with even a small passenger on the back. The CT125 hardly changes at all.
      As for top speed, a similar tale. For easy riding, top speed was comparable to not having a passenger at all. Hard for me to comprehend, initially (where was all this extra power when I was solo?), but I figure it's probably a result of the engine's de-tuning. Quasimotard pulls a trailer with it and it seems to function fine there, too. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    the CT 125 has 260 lb. max. limit. Why would you make it carry 400 lbs?

    • @robfur
      @robfur  11 месяцев назад

      You might be talking about the 110 or 90 but the big 125 can carry more 330 LBS legally here in Australia that puts both of us on that weight scale. You won't be flying like a bigger bike , but it handles it alright. The weight rules might be different where u are . If I want to go quicker I hop on my other bike 🏍 Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

      @@robfur No mate...the owners manual...I have a 2023 CT... states 260 lbs. I doubt we have different manuals. That little bike, nor the Honda Cub...were built with 2 riders in mind. You will eventually bust that thing in half. Common sense really. Hey its your ass...

    • @robfur
      @robfur  11 месяцев назад +1

      I live in Australia , over here the CT 125 was sold with passenger pegs and are legally allowed to have a passenger on the back , on our registrations papers they are marked for 2 people unlike the CT110 . When you say that" it can't handle it and I will break it with a passenger," that would be true if I would be flogging it on dirt tracks and riding flat out all the time with a passenger on the back , but for cruising around the coastal roads with a pillion on , it handles it great . I'm thinking the weight difference might be different in America and that's why your bikes don't come out with passenger pegs on them .. The only way you will crack the frame on these bikes is by doing heaps of jumps .I sort of know a bit about what they can and can't do after spending 5 or more hours a day on them for 5 days a week for 40 years . Started on the ct 90 and then worked my way up to the King of the CTs a CT 125

    • @robfur
      @robfur  11 месяцев назад +2

      I found my owners manual , I was right about the weight . You guys have different weight restrictions over there on your bikes , or maybe they are not as good as our bikes 🤣 We can carry 150 kg it says in the manual for the Australian CT 125. I hope that stops you worrying about me breaking my bike. Thanks again for your comment 👍
