I just joined the insiders club. I have fished all my life and have never had anyone help to understand "structure and how fish think, if you will". I don't have a problem pay my dues everyone desires to make a living. Don't get away from you claim and I will continue to support you.
I’m an insider and this is by far the most helpful thing I have watched might be a good idea to do an updated version with the smart spots… especially loved the emphasis on boat approach which I don’t see in a lot of videos or weekly updates
Thanks for the feedback and suggestion! We'll pass it along to our Team and Coaches to see about getting an updated version, and more info on boat approach when fishing.
Awesome brothas... simple and very informative! You guys watching this that are not insiders...you're missing out! These guys are the real deal! I was skeptical to join at first...but it was money well spent. Ever since i became an insider, I've been successful on every trip using these charts and learning their techniques.

John Skinner has a great fishing log that I have been using for 12 years. Sorting by date, wind and tide is a great trip planning tool. Unfortunately, it is an old Java based platform. Skinner is a research analytical master fisherman.
One suggestion I would make for SFT is that it does not accurately display peak fishing times over night. Bridge, Pier, and lighted docks fisherman would like this.
Okay I’m struggling . My area has 2% current … I’m in between the center of to inlets and the tide and current doesn’t reach . So wind …. You are saying to fish the windy side but that’s is so rough .. I would think that fish want to be hiding next to windy spots so bait will be blown to them but out of the wind so they aren’t blown around ?? Any advice or assurance that I’m understanding this correctly
I’m a west coast fisherman (San francisco), and I’m wondering how effective smart fishing tides would be for west coast fishing? I imagine you’d need to collect enough data from here to feed the AI. Any plans to collect data from west coast fishermen? It would be a great tool for me as I’m just exploring salt water fishing here. I’ve been following some local RUclipsrs. They might be a good source for fishing data. I can give you some recommendations if you wish. Thanks! Looks like a good tool!
It'sI guess this is 'inshore' But i was more expecting a 'from shore.' It's tough for a complete noob, who'se never fished any saltwater (recently moved from Missouri) to come down and just find places to fish. I tend to shoot for Bridges and overpasses, as theres usually a pier there, but none of the spots I seem to go to are very productive. And I've been all over. I don't completely understand current either, but I just can't seem to find the fish. Any tips specifically for this? Alot of the areas you point out on the maps to look for are not accessable to on foot anglers due to it being someone else property or an island, or whatever.
I'll spend no more that 5 minutes max scouting an area for life or activity on the water. Another big thing if there's no current or wind or at least current waters completely dead move.
I’d appreciate a more “teaching me” approach rather than a “showing me” approach. I would like to understand each category and why you consider them, THEN coupled with examples of how it would affect fishing conditions. I appreciate this video for what it is but I use the categories you discuss to further research what they mean. Not sure if this was the intent or if you meant to be a be all about inclusive type of video. Either way great video and we’ll keep watching

I am a member looking at sonar maps, what do the strike spots look like?

The wind direction and speed is usually correct, but the precipitation is never right. I think you should change it to a % number.
