If anyone is still struggling on this fight, summon the crab at the start of the fight (it’ll last the whole battle) and use “peerless resolve” on ichiban the moment tenbo’s boss gauge goes to the middle. Re use PR everytime you lose it. Worked wonders for me
What I love about Tendo's fight is his style. He moves JUST like a boxer (like he said he was). His hooks, jabs and uppercuts all have power and leg movement behind them. And in his second phase he resorts to cheating and illegal moves. He brings out brass knuckles, throws backhands and elbows just to show how desperate he's getting
Not a fan of how Tendo’s fight was high in defense. Using Poundmates for Nancy will poison him for the entire fight. I wish I used it sooner before I got his health halfway down.
At lvl 60 Tendo is fighting at full power while Kiryu, Majima & Saejima were at lvl 57 & 50 but were only getting warmed up. They're the Yakuza Legends for a reason
Hope you finished the fight by now, but if you haven't, use the Peerless Resolve ability of Ichiban to survive the hit... You can have a sacrifice stone equipped on him too if you want.
I grinded way too much before this fight, I maxed out all abilities on fortune teller and used orbital laser frequently on tendo and took him out almost immediately when I fought him, he hardly ever got the chance to attack. Thankfully he was much tougher on ex hard.
I got hit with gods right hand right as he was an inch of health away from getting beat....let's just say I got depressed and haven't bothered to touch the game ;-;
Try to use Curse Substitute accessory on Ichiban, it prevents the immediate H-KO of Tendo's right arm. Can be found completing the 18F of Sotenbori Battle Arena or in a golden safe in Kamurocho.
Although I think he is too tanky/spongy I still enjoyed this fight. Not knowing what kind of moves Tendo was going to unleash throughout the fight kept me on the edge of my seat. The first time he used God’s Right Hand, he used it on my Ichiban and shattered the Sacrifice Stone I gave him kind of impulsively before the fight started. My jaw nearly dropped and I went nuts for the rest of the fight. I imagine this fight could’ve gone super differently based on these comments but for me it was pretty much a perfect experience
Kiryu, Goda, Majima, Saejima are still way above him. Ichiban and his team have never beaten them. Majima, Kiryu, and Saejima didn't try and they all lost. Ryuji would demolish him.
@@Zyrikun for me mine was easy i beat him in the first time. The proplem whith tendo is the god warning he take all your health and mostley aim at ichiban and gime over

Is there a way for Ichiban to survive a one-hit kill? I read guides on the Internet and it says about some skill "Brave Obsession" but I can't find it in the game. I don't understand English very well. therefore, it is difficult for me to understand the game itself which skill is responsible for what. I just need Ichiban not to die in this fight from the 1st time
There is a skill you can unlock with Hero Job at Rank 16 called Peerless Resolve. If you use this on ichiban during the fight you will be able to survive any attack that would otherwise knock you out.
I love the soundtrack particularly with this boss fight as its so atmospheric. I enjoyed the boss fight itself though as soon as I found that poison is really effective, I made complete shit of Tendo.
Lost to him the first time cuz he oneshotted ichiban with his bullshit punch. Second time, he never used his move once. And i beat him easily. What the hell, why is he random?
Idk how y’all talk about getting one shot by him.. if u don’t just do story mission including the fights making your way up to Tendo you should definitely be around 59-61 for a really good but long fight. I’m lvl 60 and he’s only taking off 20-30 damage per swing
Wow seeing al these comments I’m wondering if you guys just have bad luck? He rarely attacked Ichi with that one shot attack for me and when he did Ichi would live with like 400 health or just outright resist it somehow. But Eri and Nanba would get knocked. Otherwise this boss fight was really easy compared to the previous two for me atleast.
Same for me. I was level 60 and only one person got KO'd, and I just revived them. Compared to the last three bosses where I died way too many times. I assumed Tendo was a warm up boss...

This game was almost good. They story is really good, and I mainly played it to see the story through, but the gameplay progression is just bad. And this boss fight is just the final straw that made me quit the game. He has way too much HP and he one shots you in his second phase for no apparent reason. It's just demotivating knowing I have to go through the entire last dungeon again to reach him again if I choose to grind levels. And that's another thing. The level scaling is so bad. You have to grind. This and the Majima fight are when the boss battle gets unfairly difficult if you don't grind at all. And if you played like me and tried to level up different jobs for the fun of seeing the wacky moves, you'd end up punishing yourself by having to grind more to get the essence skills for the one you actually want to use for the final boss. It's their first turn-based Yakuza game, and it's very mediocre at being a turn-based game. This game's saving grace is the story, which is excellent. I just wish they didn't make the gameplay so mediocre.
The gameplay gets old very quickly. Yakuza going turn based was already bad enough for me but the gameplay sucking ass makes it much more painful:it's flawed, the difficulty is artificial, and doesn't require much strategy: electricity is the only element you really need most of the time and status ailments rarely work. To tackle the final dungeon and Amon you need to farm a ridicolous amount of exp and money, and honesty the series doesn't excite me like it used to. It's like they didn't know how to make a good combat system anymore so they changed to an rpg.
This is probably one of the worst boss fights I've ever played. I got through the first half of it just by poisoning him once and then going into auto mod in no skills mode. I would only stop it to heal when some1 was low. Second half was still easy as I hadn't used any resource yet, as easy as spamming electric attacks and having kasuga the get back to life effect active whenever it wore off. I belive this is yakuza's 7 biggest problem, they don't know the difference between hard rpg fights and long rpg fights, I was sick of fighting damage sponges.
Nah. I think Tendo fight are intentionally hard and long because it fit his character. Tendo is not some street thug who act tough. he was a retire Heavy boxers who decide to become a Yakuza and you can see he didn't get rusty and still one a hell of tank to fight
Depends on your luck and job. Because my ichi resists physical attacks so it did like 5 for me too. But some people choose different jobs so it one shots them.
Fighting Tendo is like trying to swim up a waterfall.
Then the moment when you finally got to the top of the waterfall, the waterfall said “Not bad...at all".
