I would mention proper safety steps prior to removing the back. Startup the computer without the AC in. press F1 rapidly on Startup to get into BIOS. right arrow over to the config tab. use the down arrow to go to power menu options, and page all the way down to the bottom to disable built-in battery, using enter key when disable battery is highlighted. Then exit the BIOS and power off, making sure the AC power cord is not in the machine. This disables the onboard battery which cannot be removed. if you do not do this you risk your electrical components by removing them when there is still power supplied to them. Poof...
When you power the computer back up after after installing your new nvme, it will not power up off of battery only. you have to put the AC back in.

Hi! I opened some laptops before, but I had troubles with this Lenovo one. As I could see your 'crowbar' (around 1:15) I noticed that I don't need to be so gentle and I can use some force. :) So a few minutes later the laptop was opened. Thanks! (Note: the other laptops I could open using a 0,5 mm plastic sheet.)

In my experience not all Lenovos (even within the same family type) are built the same. With the proper tools and some patience they all open :). Thanks for watching!

Nice job. I know the graphic card is Nvidia quadro p520 wich is not meant to play games but on many forums they said is equivalent of some ge force and therefore games are working quite OK. I am planing to buy the thinkpad p53s today/tomorrow but my only concern is Counter strike global offensive is not working on it. What do you think? Can you please try the game for an adviced opinion?

Yes, you can easily fit an Intel AX200NGW or comparable adapter.

FABIAN RIVEROS or you can clone your old drive over to this one if you already had a working laptop. All you’ll need is a usb Nvme adapter.

You can use the built in Windows image backup with a recovery drive , recovery cd, or Windows media to restore the image. It’s easy.
