    Thanks for talking about the fan noise. It's very difficult to find reviews that talk about it, and for me it's one of the most important things. I want something quiet!

    Update: After using this device as my secondary daily driver for over a year now, I am please to say that it has worked reliably with no problems. Perhaps the only draw back I can think of is that I wish they kept the double iris sensors from the P52s as they were much more powerful than the single sensor system on the P53s; it is not as strong reading your faceID in less light conditions, and it has a lot more failed sessions. This faceID/ windows hello login comes handy especially for those with really long and complex login passwords. I will keep you posted with any new developments. Cheers and thank you!

    I am/was about to buy this pc. I mainly work with a 4k external monitor and the thing about fans always spinning when external monitors is plugged kind of worries me. Don't want a noisy machine.

      Carlos Rosales I understand what you mean, it can be annoying, however this is the quietest I have gotten from a laptop connecting to an external monitor using the type c connector to HDMI.

    Thanks for the follow-up video! I'm still living vicariously through your videos, since my order is now two days past the "expected shipping date" in the Order Visibility Portal, with no updates.
    It sounds like battery life is the main issue you've had. Out of curiosity, what browser(s) do you use? I'm a Chrome user, but it is definitely a battery hog. It might be worth trying Edgium or Firefox to see if they make any difference.

      Scott Lawrence I use different browsers for different things (Chrome, IE, Tor and Firefox). The intel processors have been back ordered, but Lenovo ships really fast, so once they actually ship it you will get it fast. Hang in there;)

      @@JarlaminTech have to say I'm really enjoying it so far! Battery drains quicker than I'd like, but that was a trade off I chose for the brighter 4k display. Mostly I use it plugged in anyway. Like you said, it runs quiet and cool, and it never seems to stutter with anything I've thrown at it so far. I'm quite happy.

      Scott Lawrence I'm very glad yours finally arrived and that you like it!

    Nice video. Don't know if I want a p53 or t590 right now. Your voice is so easy to listen to 😉

      I understand your dilemma between the two. They certainly are very similar in many ways. Infact the same in almost every way but the Battery life (favoring the T590), Memory and Drive capacity (favoring the P53s). Thank you 🙏🏾

    Update: The new battery isn’t any better. Expect to get around 6-7yrs off this laptop, definitely Not the manufacturer advertised 15hrs.

    I’m wondering if anyone has low performance issues with this laptop. Randomly, the cpu got stuck in low frequency. Around 300 to 600 MHz. When it happens, the laptop is unusable. in Lenovo’s forum an IT support guy has reported the same issue with their users. But is not a real solution.

      The P53 is a more powerful machine overall and more suitable for more heavy duty work out in the field. But with it, thicker and heavier. I hope this is helpful. Thanks

      The P53 has a H processor.

    Have you done any renders with this machine?

    • @JarlaminTech
      @JarlaminTech  3 года назад

      Yes, 1080P renders just fine, but tends to struggle longer than 3yrs. I think part of that has to do with the slower graphics card. 4K shorter videos seem just fine, but the fan kicks in more often both of which are obvious. Also worth mentioning that it’s best to switch to the performance setting when doing demanding task like video editing. I hope that answered your question.

      @@JarlaminTech So would you say generally for DaVinci Resolve, this may be a good machine? For ~1hr 1080p clips or ~5-10 min 4k clips.

    • @JarlaminTech
      @JarlaminTech  3 года назад +1

      @@munibali2242 5-10 mins 4k yes, anything more, then no, you'd struggle with performance... I hope this answers your question.

    Does it thermal throttle easily?

    • @JarlaminTech
      @JarlaminTech  3 года назад

      Yes, with intense tasks, but not very noticeable. I hope this helps.
