When you're setting up cellular for you Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, can you make a video on how to do it? I want to buy a smartwatch but I don't know if I should get an LTE enabled watch or not. Also have you had any overheating issues with cellular yet?
I had the original Samsung Gear S watch for 2 years. I loved that watch. 2 inch screen. Big enough that it had the swipe to text option. The only thing they did wrong on that watch was contact charging. My charging points eventually corroded enough that it became difficult to charge. Had cellular capability also. I'd love to have that watch again but with wireless charging. Good battery life too.
Coming from the 4, and 5 pro I noticed the performance, brighter screen, less bezel, and the return of the Rotating Bezel I love it and it’s worth the upgrade in my opinion.
I'm coming from the OG Gear, S3 Frontier, and Galaxy Watch (1); yet I'm hardly seeing a benefit so far. My Galaxy Watch (1) lasts longer and does 90% the same things, and has the bezel of course. The only justification I have to myself is the new operating system. Both do notifications and Samsung Pay; though I love having the Google Assistant vs Bixby.
I came from my first watch The active 2 than the Original Galaxy watch 46mm and after that the Galaxy watch 4 classic 46mm and now I have the Galaxy watch 5 pro and I like the battery life on the 5 pro the watch 4 classic had less battery and I wanted something near my original Galaxy Watch 46mm battery 472mah which got me 4 days and the Galaxy watch 5 pro 590mah one day less for me because I get 3 to 3 and a half days because it's has newer specs inside (I'm just waiting for the watch 7 pro to come out)
@@MrRx.I'm still rocking the 46 mm galaxy watch 1 but I definitely need to upgrade but I like the battery life I get with the 1 so eventually I might go for the 5 pro
@mech2711 I like my watch 5 pro due to the battery but once the watch 7 pro comes out I will definitely upgrade to that watch I heard from render if it's true the watch size will be 48mm for the watch 7 pro. But I will have to wait and see when it actually comes out
I had the classic 4 and I did upgrade to the classic 6. I didn't plan on it but the trade in deals were insane. I paid $160 for my Watch 4 classic, brand new, at Walmart. They offered me a $200 trade in. I got the Watch 6 classic for $130, after trade in.
I traded my Watch 5 for my new 43mm Watch 6 classic. I liked the watch 5. I love my new watch 6 classic. It's not being talked about much but the higher resolution makes a real difference. Also, fwiw, I get through a day easily on one charge, with 20 - 30% battery to spare, and with AOD on.
Best Samsung Watch video on RUclips, covering many important things. Be aware that performance of watch 6 series is probably adaptive, and will speed up over time, along with battery life and sensor accuracy.
The fabric band is actually great, I really like it and am pretty sensitive to cheap materials. It's actually my favourite band out of the ones I've tried with previous watches (elasticity ones, metal, OEM). The battery life (GW 6 44mm) was horrible the first 2 charges. I guess it was "learning usage patterns" but initially I was pretty depressed. But it seems to be getting better now, so just a heads up on that when fresh out of the box. The body composition is so picky about finger placements, it's kinda annoying that it takes several tries for me to get a reading (either need to moisturize fingers or it thinks I've touched something or moved maybe because I have small hands). You can set up the GW6 to load workouts from 2 wrist flicks when the screen first turns on via wearable app.
Thanks for the feedback on the band and your experience with the battery life so far! I guess I'll have to give this band a longer test, because most people seem to love it.
Great video. Love your format and details. Perfect example of how videos should get done. I'm coming from the watch 3, so I'm glad you said you were doing a deep dive because it feels like a completely different watch and don't know where to start to see what's new. I'm just wearing it without exploring.
I received my GW6C today. While I love the feel of the rotating bezel, the clicks aren't as responsive as the GW4C. It often causes my display to stutter rather that transition to the next tile. I've also had the overheating notice appear during setup.
No stutters on mine at all, close apps and every now and then clear memory, and set developer mode on and set animations to 0.5x, will get a Hugh boast in speed
I have the Watch 4, which was my very 1st smart watch. It's useful and I still use it, but I'm holding out for a glucose monitor before I upgrade again since I only use it to track steps and use it to reply to messages and dome health options.
There is also another difference i came across compared to the 5 pro. I currently have both the 5 pro and 6 classic lte versions. I've been trying for the last two days to get Red Pocket mobile running on the watch while i have T-Mobile on my phone(this is my watch 5 setup). It appears that the newer Watch 6 only allows you to run the same service provider as you have on your phone. The mobile network settings are also reduced compared to the watch 5... There options to modify things like access point names and network operators straight from the watch have vanished. No one on the internet is talking about this 😔.
I still have the original Galaxy watch and my battery last three days is this watch a lot louder what are the key benefits from upgrading from my original Galaxy watch
I have the fabric band on my 44mm Watch 6 and it's extremely comfortable. I can actually sleep with my watch on....I hate those sport rubbery ones because those are the ones that cause my wrist to sweat and itch. I also have a nice brown leather one for special occasions
The Gear S, man classic for real! I've had every watch from the gear S3 onward. I would love for them to bring back the camera like the OG had but in display for meet calls, but I know that's too niche.
Great review using all of the previous Samsung watches. Very in-depth points on the various features and functions. While others do a comparison of the Watch 4 and Watch 5 series, comparing the older watches really strikes a balance. I traded my Watch 4 Classic for the Watch 6 Classic in black. I’m going to hold on to my Watch 5 Pro to see what the Watch 7 is like.
I had the 4 and have the 5 in the small, regular sizes.. but this new Classic w the thin bezel hade me go huge bc of that big screen and battery (so long as the OAD is off)
Looks down at the Galaxy Watch 2 Active (that I'm still wearing) ... I guess it doesn't exist. I'm impressed that you still have a Gear S watch though. I'm actually a little sad that the square, curved watch went away because it was a nice form factor.

You cannot tell what the actual battery life is going to be until the watch completes it's usage test that takes three days after that your watch will start to adjust to your particular usage so anybody who notices the watch has terrible battery life out of the box it does they all do you have to wait for it to complete its learning algorithm that takes three days and then it will adjust accordingly everybody's watch battery will be slightly different
Great video, thanks. Would you know wear I can buy a Samsung galaxy gear replacement charger? My smart watch with the camera on the band won't change in that cradle you put your watch into charge it. And love the gear S that your wearing. I wish they bring that watch back.
Well seing as the 6 classic is the 4 classic's successor, perhaps it's worth the upgrade from the 4 classic. but seing as it's NOT the 5 pro's successor, it's quite literally a downgrade in everything to build quality, battery and even features like superior GPS that the 6 does not have. I have a Watch 5 pro... for the longest time I got roughly about 40 hours to a charge. All of a sudden, and I have no idea why since no updates were made and I made no changes in the way I use it, suddenly I get 3 days (Pretty much 70 hours) to a charge. Truth be told, as is... I'm kinda happy with the 5 pro but looking at the 6 I can upgrade when I need to without worry. But I won't be upgrading until I need to (I am sure my clumsy self will somehow crack the screen or something sooner or later).
Although I like very much the sleeker look of the Watch 6 Classic in black. I like better the look of the Watch 4 classic in silver. Also they should do something like bring back that Gear S you're rocking. I for one still use my 2018 Galaxy Watch a lot as it's more rugged and still lasts for about 3 to 4 days. I mostly use my Watch 4 Classic for looks. Lol.
That's a great video. However, yes the GW6 Classic is beautiful, especially the silver one, and I also love the 47mm on my 15cm wrist. But I will not get it since nothing's changed. Same old inaccuracy as in 4 and 5 watches. Big disappointment for me. All these features are really nice but worthless when the watch is inaccurate. Samsung needs to up their game, learn from Apple how to better their sensors to be as accurate as possible, make their GW battery bigger (slimmer), ditch the Exynos processor and have the perfect watch for next year.
Coming from the watch 5, I think the watch 6 classic is way better for screen size, the rotating bezel of course and the screen brightness, I’ve had my watch 5 for about a year and a half, and still have till now, but it’s still amazing!
I found this video to see if it's worth upgrading. I am still using the Galaxy Watch 1 with a rotating bezel and love it. It gives 3 days battery with AOD, down from 3.5/4 when brand new. I can't see a reason to upgrade right now. If money was no object I'd get the Apple Watch Ultra instead, even though I'm completely ingrained in the Google ecosystem with a pixel phone, smart hubs and more.
Samsung Galaxy Gear S is the watch your wearing in the beginning of the video. I used to want it so badly. Samsung needs to come out with a watch with earbuds built-in. I bought a budget watch that has it and I love it.
I still use MST for payments with my s3 Frontier (tap to pay at places without NFC support). I hate that they've taken that feature away from the newer Samsung watches and phones. Makes me not want to upgrade
Great review, covered a lot of things that are of interest that most reviewers don't. Very helpful in deciding whether or not an upgrade from an older watch is worth it. I think the one disappointing takeaway from all this is that Samsung hasn't really done much to improve their watch over many years. Performance, screen quality, design and functionality have not changed that drastically over previous iterations.
I've used the fabric band for about 3 weeks now, and all i can say is.... i'm loving the fabric band. it's more comfortable, and you can adjust the tightness of the band to a tee
So you would be better off as far as the wrist band width and fit a very large wrist? I still have a Samsung Galaxy watch that looks like a regular watch body.
First of all, congratulations of another amazing review, Definitely worth the upgrade since I have the galaxy active 2 and a watch 3. My Active 2 is a 44mm, I like it best because of the screen size, should I buy the 6 in which size?
I want one. It's especially appealing since I could trade in my GW5 and receive a rebate. I could get the buds pro2 + all at the same time for not a bad deal.
My watch 6 Classic came with the band already installed (I am guessing it depends on your band choice). Though I immediately removed and replaced it with a nicer band, so really I wish they would just sell a version of the watch without a band. Fantastic watch though, I was buying every other watch since the S3, but ended up going from the 5 to the 6 thanks to the return of the rotating bezel.
Spigen Rugged Armor Pro Designed for Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47mm Case with Band, Rugged Galaxy Watch Band with Protective Case (2023) - Black, CAN U DO A REVIEW FOR THIS WATCH CASE?
Are a bunch of the software differences just due to One UI Watch 5.0 vs 4.5 on the older watches? If that’s the case, then many of the features will likely come to the GW4 and newer when they update to the latest One UI on Galaxy Watches. Similarly you could have cut out half the differences between the 6 and the 5Pro by saying the 5P has onboard GPS functionality. That being said, thank you for a great comparison. Particularly the size and brightness.
Samsung Gear S sm-r750? The best smart watch ever!!! I'm so angry Samsung decided not to continue with that form factor the gear fits or curved the gear S4 curved and both looked absolutely amazing

Still love the battery life on my watch 5 pro. By the end of my day I still am around 70% battery life remaining.
Thanks for the size comparison on your wrist; very helpful coming from the Galaxy Watch
I went from Samsung active watch to Samsung watch 6 😅 I love it so far
Tell me any pros and cons ab it! I might get it!!
@@ZeeSmith8923 depends what watch you got bro?
Great review, covered a lot of things that are of interest that most reviewers don't. Very helpful in deciding whether or not an upgrade from an older watch is worth it. I think the one disappointing takeaway from all this is that Samsung hasn't really done much to improve their watch over many years. Performance, screen quality, design and functionality have not changed that drastically over previous iterations.
There is a good point on that, since owners of older watches don't need to upgrade it
Theyre not suppose to change drastically... at all thats not how tech works lol look at our phones
Exactly. that's why I'm going to wait for the watch 7
You said on 3 vs 6 that the black is deeper. How can that be, when they're both OLED and black means that the pixel is turned off?
I had my og galaxy watch and upgraded to the galaxy watch 6 classic. Holy cow it's such an upgrade
Need Spec ... S3 Frontier head 4 gigs of storage on board to load music what about these new ones (?)
I've used the fabric band for about 3 weeks now, and all i can say is.... i'm loving the fabric band. it's more comfortable, and you can adjust the tightness of the band to a tee
For the record the 6 and the 6 classic are awesome. Battery life is great. I get 2 days on my 6. It's just as good as my 5 pro was.
Can you please test the mic 🗣⌚️🤜🏻 outside around ppls on a train while others are talking and see how Is loud it's gets and while playing music always
You can get 22nm to 20mm adapters if there is a band to love that is 22mm
The 6 classic is worth it ,but the band has to be changed in a day wearing it..
So you would be better off as far as the wrist band width and fit a very large wrist? I still have a Samsung Galaxy watch that looks like a regular watch body.
This channel is so underrated
Your the best with reviews as always I look at your videos before I buy.
Also check Quantified Scientist. He made a great review about the gw6
So crazy that the watch is 450$ yet it doesn't come with a wall plug......
Upgrading from OG Galaxy Watch, if it ain't broke why replace it. I think it's time though.
Hmm, my Watch 5 has a transparent background with the swipe-down menu down, even over the main watch face.
Regarding the speed vs the 5 Pro, you can disable the animations on the Watch 6
Great review! What's the circunference of your wrist? I think this information will help people as a reference.
One watch missing out of the collection the square watch with the camera it was the first watch Samsung galaxy made.
Loool. Where did you get this old Samsung watch you have on your hand !! I haven't seen it for ages (and only on the Internet)
That's the best video i have ever seen about galaxy watches. Thank you so much for this great video
First of all, congratulations of another amazing review, Definitely worth the upgrade since I have the galaxy active 2 and a watch 3. My Active 2 is a 44mm, I like it best because of the screen size, should I buy the 6 in which size?
Brilliant video. Very thorough! Thanks 😊
I would love to see the galaxy gear come back
Still got my Galaxy gear s but no longer works with the s22 ultra 😢 great watch
So to summarise - is it worth upgrading from GW 4 Classic LTE 46MM to GW 6 Classic 47MM LTE?
i don't see sleep mode on the quick panel, GW6C
I upgraded from the gear s3 to the watch 4 classic
What s the watch you re wearing??
You forgot the active 2 model. One of the best models.
I want one. It's especially appealing since I could trade in my GW5 and receive a rebate. I could get the buds pro2 + all at the same time for not a bad deal.
What if you want to Listen to music on your phone watch?
My watch 6 Classic came with the band already installed (I am guessing it depends on your band choice). Though I immediately removed and replaced it with a nicer band, so really I wish they would just sell a version of the watch without a band.
Fantastic watch though, I was buying every other watch since the S3, but ended up going from the 5 to the 6 thanks to the return of the rotating bezel.
I bought the 5 pro one weak before the galaxy watch 6 series was announcement and im heppy with it, its good and have good battery life
Spigen Rugged Armor Pro Designed for Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47mm Case with Band, Rugged Galaxy Watch Band with Protective Case (2023) - Black, CAN U DO A REVIEW FOR THIS WATCH CASE?
What about taking a 6 classic 43mm coming from a 46mm Watch 4? Will you loose a lot (screen estate and battery)?
I had the watch 5 pro, hated it. Already two days in with my silver 47mm classic 6 LTE and I'm so happy.
The pro is a sports watch while the 6 and 4 are just a classic smart watch
Is the atrial fibrillation detected even if you don't have the ecg available in USA? Or did you declare to live in another country?
Maybe it is all in the software.
Great vid, but my Galaxy watch classic automatically picks up when i am cycling?
I've been wanting the battery tiles for so long
