Bixby is great to do things with your Samsung watch or Samsung phone (settings, alarms, opening apps, engage/disengage ambient sound (Samsung Earbuds), etc. I used to totally hate Bixby, but they have improved it significantly.
Great video! I just got a refurbed W5 Pro wifi model. Learning a lot here. I still have my regular W5 44mm LTE for almost 2 years. So useful especially when you get older (I'm 65) to monitor health indicators.

If you have trouble setting up Google Assistant read this... When setting up Google assistant, it's best to wait for 15 minutes once your watch setup is complete. While not mentioned, the 15 minutes will likely allow Google Play Store to update Play Services and other Assistant-related libraries in the background. Android phones and watches typically update core system libraries in the background during or after the initial setup process.

Very important: Although Samsung's body composition feature is a great way to monitor your health and fitness data, some people should not use the feature. Before you get started with body composition analysis on your Galaxy Watch 4 or Watch 5,: Do not use the feature if you have a pacemaker or similar device implanted in your body. Pregnant people should not use the feature. I really wish all of you would include this warning!

Hmm maybe should try bixby only for the change or workouts as I only ever use other or circuit training as is a faff to keep stopping and lowering your heart rate! I don't seem to have a keyboard to reply to text though tried Googlong to see if it is a setting and nothing comes up? I just have voice or pre set replies.
Haha, sorry for the speed. If you tap the settings gear on the video, you can reduce the playback speed to .75 which might make it easier to follow along :)
I prefer the new Samsung Wear OS Swipe keyboard over Google Gboad on Wear OS. I hope Samsung adds AR Emojis Gifs/stickers and all the other gifs and stickers from the Samsung keyboard on the phone
I have the Watch5 Pro that also has the LTE for phone/text so I never have to activate BT. I installed Google Assistant and it says I have to activate BT for it to work. Is that accurate? If so, why install Google Assistant?
Do you know if Messenger + (Verizon application) is compatible? I have a Samsung Galaxy phone and the Samsung Galaxy 5 watch. It is showing me that a message came in and from whom but not letting me see the actual message. I have used this application for messaging for over 10 years and was really hoping I wouldn't have to switch just because of my watch
There is already a mod the one for the 4 works on the 5 it's from Dante. I wanted to make sure of that also before committing to it. I also had the watch 3, now I keep reaching for the bezel on the 5 Pro that doesn't exist lol. I just picked mine up yesterday I just couldn't pass up the $190 instant credit for the watch 3.

Also Google assistant kills your battery, Bixby all the way!
Bixby is better for system control whilst assistant is better for general queries
If you use Bixby in phone to turn off sound for example - will it sync with watch and make it silent as well?

I currently am still rocking the frontier also. I am upgrading to the 5 pro but holding onto my frontier just in case I need to return the 5.
I just got the 5 pro after rocking my S3 for years and years. It was a great watch but the battery was awful by the end of life.

My S2 is still good for work and Frontier S3 is still good for motorcycle rides.
