Congrats DucFan!!! Super excited for you. I'm bummed I wasn't there for the pick up but grateful to have been a part of the decision making process and super happy that you guys made a video of it! Here's to lots of miles and smiles for you!
@@shahinalvandi2964 Thank you, Sir! You sold me this bike when you let me ride yours a few months back, I just didn’t know it yet. The seed was planted.
First off, the smile on his face when he had it running is awesome. We know that smile. Second, the way Ducati has your new bike displayed is how all places should do it. I want one now just for that.
I want to apologize to everyone in the PNW. It has been pouring and cold since I brought the bike home. So sorry for the miserable winter I’ve brought upon us all.
Thank you, Ben for that great video, it’s nice to feature your friends bike, or new bike day, what a beautiful presentation for a brand new bike. Thank you you ride well and ride safe.
small confessions, I may have drooled a bit on my keyboard, the background sound of the Duc driving in behind you while DucFan was loading was awesome music to my ears :)
I ran into Ducfan (caught him sniffing around my bike) at a random burrito shack near the coast a few years ago and made a fool of myself once I realized who he was/that I got to see the face of @dorkintheroad's version of the Stig. He was very nice and seemed to be a genuine dude. Congrats on the new bike, Ducfan!
DUDE he still talks about that to this day. Getting recognized for being in someone else's videos and after never showing his face! Cracks me up. Still shocked you knew it was him.
@@DorkintheRoad haha a guy as famous as him should be more careful about the context clues he drops while poking around DRZs at food shacks on the fringes of rural Oregon towns
I see you’re going to be at the ABR Festival in the UK. It’s a great festival but a lot smaller than the ones over there. Look forward to seeing you there.
Nice bike! Here in So Cal there is very little Ducati support as far as dealerships. Owning that brand would be a nuisance for me. Having to trailer a bike home would suck! I've bought well over 10 new bikes over the last 25 years, riding every bike home from the dealership. That's the fun part of the buying process; getting used to the ergos, clutch, power..etc on the ride home.
When I sold my KTM 1290 SAR and bought a Husky 701 Enduro I jumped out of the Adventure Bike world. If I decide to jump back in It'll be on a Desert X. I do believe if I was going to trailer that bike home I might've rented / borrowed an enclosed trailer though.
@@timesink101 There is kind of a gray area between dual sports and adventure bikes. You can use a 701 as an adventure bike but riding long distances on the road at least for me is not ideal. 50 miles would be my max to ride comfortably on the pavement.

all adv bikes are the same--- overpriced---this is why ktm is broke and bmw soon to follow, they are all too heavy--- you dont need 240kgs and 140hp for adv bike, too much electronic shit that stops working--- we havent gained a thing apart from stupidity
I have to question not riding it home. Who the he’ll does that? I would have went in riding gear and by the time I got home it would be so dirty. I’m the guy who would rather crash a Ferrari than have it burn up in my garage. So many things I like about that bike but just scares me on few items.

@@Kevimoto I winter in Florida and today was 80 degrees and sunny so no worries.
I have to agree with you ducfan, the KTM 890 is uncomfortable for tall people.

It was 70deg F and sunny D/FW today. Rode my DesertX for over 2 hours today. 😆
One of the best looking adventure motorcycles IMO! Love the twin round headlights. Congrats to Duc Fan!
Bringing it home is a wave of emotions for sure. Every time.
I'm usually pretty cynical of uber high end adv bikes...but this bikes looks pretty freakin' cool!

I was about to send ALLLLL the angry reacts when I thought you were going to end a Ducati video without a sound clip. 😂
That is a beauty. Can't afford one or the maintenance, but they're works of art.
Gotta love that sea of Ducati red in the showroom. That’s a happy place! 😃
What a fun video idea. That bike is sick looking. Congrats

Congrats to the DucFan. We can all revel in NBD
If I ever bought a Ducati Desert X. it would never see anything but well maintained dirt roads.
Well done DucFan!!

I like the Trailer!
That's a beautiful bike. I just happen to ride what many in the adventure bike world refer to as the "Japanese Ducati."

Way too bougie for a Dork in the Road!

The 890 adventure was literally half the price. Obviously Ducatis are great but in terms of bike for the money the KTM wins at the moment.
