I’m hoping to get these someday for my 17 limited! I have always hated the headlights that came with my truck, but It’s taking a while for me to get the funds to pay for the quality these have!

this is the upgrade I need. When I saw the clear coating on the OEM on my '16 Tacoma starting to show signs of peeling, first thing comes to mind is 'forget about sanding and re-clear coating, just go for the upgrade'...

Do these lights need beam adjustment after the install is complete?
You guys should do some videos on LED reverse bulb testing with some of the ones found on Amazon and the higher end ones

So where did the new wires plug into the headlight?
Installed on my 23 tacoma with OEM led lights and used the morimoto recommended harness adapter. They are blowing fuses and headlights will not turn on, but startup sequence is working. Can you help?
do you guys have headlights for an fj cruiser ?
Obviously the DLR is brighter than OEM but we would like to see side by side comparison on the light output compared to factory led headlight.
at 0:30 they show a comparison.
Can you do a video or comment on how to do a final calibration on the beam direction or does Morimoto provide that in their instructions?

The side marker in the video is white and showing yellow LED bulb but the product on your website shows yellow side marker. Does the smoke version of the side marker come pre-installed or do we have to do it ourselves in opening up the light and adding it?
You will have to open the light and install it yourself.
Is it true, the gen 2 you can set the turn signals to sequential or regular? If so, how is that done? Thanks hr
You can do it on gen 1 too. It’s a wire you either connect or disconnect in the back

When messing with the grill... do you need to worry about messing up the Toyota Safety Sense radar sensors? (e.g. Do they need to be recalibrated or anything?)
No
Nope!
Will it have condensation? Is the beam scattered or uneven compared to oem?
They are designed to take on and evaporate a little condensation, they have breathable vents on the back of the housings! The beam will be so much better than OEM thanks to those 3 LED projectors inside, each designed to function perfectly with the LED lights behind them! What should you do if you already have raptor lights running to that fuse?
You can use any fuse that has power when the ignition is on.
I also have my raptor light add a fuse next to EFI 3 so it might not fit but I noticed there's also EFI 1 which also a 10amp. Any idea if that would work?
Is there a way you can run the amber DRL instead of the LED DRL?
Unfortunately not. I asked morimoto's Instagram page and they said no. Would be more bad ass if they were amber though

That is correct, if you have OEM LED DRLs, you will NOT need to install the DRL fuse tap!

@@HeadlightRevolution Odd question. I used the fuse that Morimoto recommended to plug into put that makes the DRLs turn on randomly about 3-4 hours after i turn the car off. what other fuse can i use?
Does the DRL Harness come with the lights? I didn't notice one (or two?) in the box, but I have yet to install my lights. I hope it was included. Also, you connected one end in the fuse box, but didn't show where on the H/L does the other end connect. Can you please comment? Thanks!
I just checked the box , the harness is in there.
I have a 3rd Gen Tacoma. I installed the new xb lights and the add a fuse harness, but the start up feature isn't working. Also I disconnected the blinker wire for the sequential feature.
Hey having the same situation with the start up sequence. Did you get yours to work?
@@Trisglen no I can't figure this out. I ran the wire in the cab to the fuse panel to ignition 1 then 2. Nothing happens

@5:55 if you have factory LED DRL, I don't think this step is necessary, but consult instruction PDF to be sure.
You’re correct but if you have the factory LED DRL you’ll have to have an addition adapter harness.. I’m currently waiting on my harness in the mail.

They do!
Got a little over-ambitious thinking this was going to be a quick install on a TRD Pro. It's not. Fender trim and skid plate need removed. Gonna have to do this another day.

@@HeadlightRevolution It worked out. Fender trim on the TRD models adds a little more complexity and opportunity to break clips. As far as the skid plate goes - I didn't need to remove the bumper at all. Just pull the bumper cover back. Out of the box headlight angle was abysmal, but once I adjusted them they were great.
This is exactly how headlight reviews should be, you can’t even get some of these companies to post their own headlights up like this.

These are full LED units, it would replace the entire headlight.

Did I wire them wrong or do these not have a function to completely turn off the drl?
These DRL are always on with the ignition of the truck.
I heard EFI 10amp is always ON and it turns back ON after 4 hours and it will not turn OFF until you start the truck again. Please advise. Thanks! I was going to tap the fuse on INJ 10amp but my raptor lights is already there.

What about if my truck has the fender flares? Take them off too?
Should be able to unbolt them and slide the bumper off, removing them would be best though!

Can you change the bulbs on these? Or do you have to buy brand new housings when they burn out?
These are non-serviceable. In the event of any sort of internal component failure the 5 year warranty would cover this!
Will the DRL switch from white to amber
It will not switch between the two colors, but it does have an amber turn signal.
Will these work on a 2022 SR5?
They should, but we have not tested on a 2022 yet!
I heard when plugging into the fuse the day time running lights will cut on with the truck off. Is this true??
You need to ask that question better!
The DRL fuse tap will only trigger the headlight DRLs to come on when the ignition is turned on, they will always shut off once you remove the key/turn the vehicle off!

Yes the SR5 does have the same fuse to use the fuse tap from the instruction
Also to answer your original question, since HR glanced over it, yes the DRLs turn on after about 4 hours. The truck runs a test that pulls power through that fuse and triggers the DRLs to come on. Pretty annoying and not mentioned anywhere other than forums. Not really great transparency from morimoto or their dealers there...

5 year warranty, and the competition doesn’t look nearly this good.
If you have to ask you don’t understand. Sure, when I was in college eBay style junk was acceptable but now I’d rather spend the money on truly premium products.
5 year warranty, looks good, outperforms any other aftermarket headlight on the market, and has the customer support to back it all up.
What these guys all said is totally true, that warranty is a big kicker, as well as that OEM quality materials used in that headlight! May have missed this if mentioned. If my Tacoma has auto headlights with drl tied to my stock halogen amber turn signal, do I need the fuse adapter?
You will still need to use the included fuse tap.
My Tacoma doesn't have the DRL button inside. Does your kit come with one?
No button, this uses a fuse tap to supply power to the DRL!
