XSX $60, PS5 $70. This is my first gen Ive ever picked Xbox over PS and the only thing I miss is the controllers. I dont like how the Xbox buttons feel like the are melting off the shoulder of the controller on the right side. I keep hitting the “O” button thinking its “X” but its B instead of A. Offset sticks are ok but my brain has been wired to play symmetrically for 20 years. I really miss the PS layout and the Dual Sense delivers on the immersion factor where Xbox has not kept up.
A crucial difference especially for gaming, is the response time, but something even more crucial is the UPDATE rate of 250Hz for DualSense, and 124Hz for Xbox, which makes for less input lag and as well more precise quick stick movements. DS support for PC has been rapidly increasing in all areas, most importantly Sony releasing Firmware Updater for DS on PC.
I have to go with the most ergonomic comfortable controller over anything else and for me that's xbox controllers. Sony did great with features but I find those features fun for a few minutes and then I want to disable them. I've also seen a lot of people with small hands hating the dualsense ergonomic wise and even causes them pain. I always liked the dualshock 4 and dualsense ergonomically myself, well that is until I tried a controller that put sony's ergonomics to shame. The xbox controller is as close to perfect as it gets comfort wise. It's made to fit a wider variety of hand sizes compared to the dualsense. I'm seeing a ton of people loving dualsense features but a lot of gamers who are in pain after a couple hours of gameplay 🤔 xbox ergonomics are time tested while sony lacks in that aspect imo
Hmmm those are some very strong arguments 👌🏾 and I must agree the features on the dual sense are amazing but oftentimes can become an interference during gaming. And the ergonomics of the Xbox is absolute built to perfection
my childhood is always PS (had ps1, ps2, psp, ps3) and Nintendo (ds, 3ds, switch) and now im on PC gaming, my procon start drift and i'm wondering to get next gen controller the problem with Xbox is the layout button is different neither with ps and nintendo (its vice versa between xyba, and left analog position is above) i watched your video and had to choose PS in speak of subjectivity, but then again how about the durability? which one last longer with drift issue?
Hey thank you for popping by my channel! I find that the Xbox layout is relatively easier on the hand after time, but I can see it will take time for you to adjust. Now in terms of which was lasts longer, the Xbox box controller is more durable, and requires less frequent battery changes compared to the PS5 which frequently runs out of battery. Additionally, Xbox has no known drift issue as of yet. But overall, I love both controllers. I am debating if I should do a comparison on the Xbox Elite and PS5 Dual Sense Edge controller as well.
Aha it’s not that, the button travel feedback gets less responsive, and it’s something alot of people ik have experienced as well 🤷🏽♂️ but glad to have you on this channel mate! And happy holidays 🎉
“Both controllers are an immense improvement from their previous controllers.” Really dude? You think the Xbox Series controller is an IMMENSE improvement over the last iteration? I’d say it just barely qualifies as an incremental upgrade. The dual sense is a truly next gen controller (whether anyone likes it or not is a different story) and I think you could classify the upgrades as immense… but I don’t think any interpretation of the world “immense” qualifies for the Xbox controller in terms of its “upgrades,” which are slim. Don’t get me wrong, I still like the way it feels in my hand and it’s a good controller… but it’s damn near the same controller as last time.
That might have to do with the fact that xbox one controller was miles better than the dualshock 4 so they didnt need to upgrade much where sony had to completely redesign . Both seem like good controller choice this time around .
@@falco642 The Xbox One controller was not miles ahead of the DualShock 4. The DS4 had built in touchpad and built in speaker. What did the Xbox controller have to compete? I think you’re conflating your preference for the ergonomics with the actual technology of the controller. Regardless, there have been almost zero advancements of the Xbox controller whereas every generation of the PlayStation controller actually includes enhancements. Arguing that the controller was already miles ahead and therefore needs no advancement is hardcore coping with Microsoft’s complete lack of advancement in the controller category. DualSense has built in speaker, touch pad, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback. Xbox controller has………. buttons. You may prefer the ergonomics but please don’t try to argue that it’s advanced in any meaningful way over the last two generations.
@@Cortezuma Okay you must be joking you give point to playstation for their feature wich most are kinda just gimmick most people dont need and wont use but give zero point for xbox way better ergonomic wich is way more important for a controller ( the thing you hold for hours on end while gaming ) than a built in speaker or trackpad . It not just personnal preference at this point ds4 has bad ergonomic the edge are not even smooth and somehow feel cheap and creeky while selling for a higher price . Even ds3 had a better built quality but worse ergonomic . Of course that not even talking about playstation overall bad layout and button shapes wich i also love by the way lookwise because they give that playstation look that we love im not a fanboy of any console i grew up with gameboy , n64 ,gamecube ds , 3ds , ps1 , ps2 , ps3 psp , ps vita xbox ,xbox 360 etc. I got to use pretty much every consoles from the big 3 and one of my all time favorite console is the ps vita wich i got multiple of and played alot . Also you fail to give props to xbox for doing a more durable controller compared to ds4 with it joysticks falling appart after few weeks. All im saying here is xbox one was a better overall controller in the hand than the ps4 controller even though the ds4 had neat little features i do think ergonomic and durability is way more important than those feature if i dont know the xbox one would be cable only or would have 2 less button for some reason then the ds4 would be the better one but it not the case . To add to the conversation why none of theses controller come with atleast 2 programable back button is mind bogging me the fact that you need to buy their pro controller for like double the price when alot of more competitive game could benefit every player especially in those cross platform games with pc player .
@@falco642 Dude that’s a whole lot of words to simply say you like the ergonomics better. My comment was criticizing the statement of both controllers being an “immense improvement.” The Xbox controller hasn’t improved anything. I’m giving “points” to PlayStation in this category because they actually did add features. You might not like the features, but they’re there. Haptics and adaptive triggers are way better than speaker or touch pad, but even those secondary features are actually nice for some games. As for durability, agree to disagree… I haven’t had any DS4 or DualSense controllers go bad on me, including after years of consistent usage. You like the ergonomics better. I get it. But that has nothing to do with anything I have discussed. As for back buttons, it would be nice to have standard… but even on that front, I have the Xbox Elite 2 controller and the DualSense Pro. The PS5 pro controller blows the elite controller out of the water too honestly. I recognize some things as preference… but actual features and manufacturing quality I think it’s Sony hands down and I don’t think it’s really even debatable if we’re being objective. I’ve had every Xbox and every PlayStatjon since the originals. I’m not a fanboy for either one. Objectively, Xbox has nothing to offer that PlayStation doesn’t do better currently and that includes the controller.
@@Cortezuma yeah my bad i was more talking about the ds4 being pretty bad ergonomic/build quality wise. I guess xbox focusing on confort where ps focusing more on feature none is perfect ( exept of course my 20+year old gamecube controller pure perfection) Unfortunately i havent try the new dualsense controller yet since ps5 isnt really that interesting right now game wise and so is the xbox too at the moment that why im currently on pc pretty much the best of both world right now having pretty much every game from past generation / pc exclusive and ps/xbox games all starting to show up on pc. I kinda want to get a dualsense but xbox controller are just also the safer choice for pc and also is the cheaper option . I might still get one to see if i like it .
I want to buy one of them but my budget is limited so if im gonna buy it i had to know that it will last for a good time . Which one is more durable (or have better build quality)?
Hey please help me I'm confuse actually, I love the dual sense feature but I am afraid will it work with pc or it is a headache, should I go for xbox controller?
Xbox Is just easier to use than the ps5 controller, especially for fighting games that require button mashing and diagonal inputs. It just feels more smoother than the ps5.
I own both and I really enjoy both. I do prefer the Dualsense tho as it just feels better built. Idk the XSX feels like a bit cheaper and the lack of a rechargeable battery built in is a no go for me. Not to mention the PS5 has far superior rumble. Button clicks feel nicer and the convenience of being able to mute the game audio and use my voice for search dictations on the controller itself is amazing. Overall Xbox seems to have gotten lazy we’re as Sony pulled out all the stops to create an excellent controller
I agree its a hard pick that is why I said one is not better than the other, they serve their own purposes. Xbox battery lasts longer, but its the constant switching out of batteries or finding a battery is the annoying part, whereas the DualSense the battery runs out faster. But one could argue that I can charge it while gaming, but I usually game farther from my TV so its convenient for me when I have to move closer. But nonetheless, I enjoy both :)
@@YathuU I have a rechargeable battery pack in my Xbox so it’s not a major issue but it’s the fact that I gotta go out and buy batteries or a battery pack to be able to play my “next gen” console. I do love the way the Xbox controller feels though. Just hate how lazy it feels in comparison to the ps5. The SX controller just feels like a slightly slimmer XbOne controller.
Being neutral that is fact since both controllers take totally different directions and at the end of the day your preferences and biases will determine which one you gravitate towards. There is no objective way to determine which is better than the other. Unless we have some way of conducting an empirical-based study assessing reaction times and ergonomically advantages and it’s impacts on reaction time. Some would prefer the DualSense and others the Xbox controller, and it comes down to just what their preferences for ergonomics of the controllers they have, and what features they value more.
Hey I wouldn strongly suggest the Xbox controller for the PC because if has a longer battery life and more versatile. But for features the PS5 DualSense is a good pick.
Tbh I much prefer the Xbox series x controller. It's so comfortable, has better grip this time, perfect weight and balance of rumble. It's not some midget sex toy like the ps5's controller.
Be real, the only good thing of the ps5 controller is gyro, but literally no one uses it. The rest is not only a gimmick but also makes you play worst especially in multiplayer games where every millisecond is crucial.
Hi I have been a ps user for 7 years but now I'm thinking to switch to Xbox series x because it is cheaper here in Pakistan. Here ps5 costs 700 usd and not a dime less but Xbox is only like 440 usd so I'm forced to buy Xbox eventhough I want ps5 because my parents can't afford it so is there any game on game pass similar to gor if war so I may go there

@@YathuU combine both the xbox controller and dualsense to get the perfect controller lol.
@@ocdgamer6030 ahahah DualBox Controller 😂
Hey can i use duelsence on pc wireless with haptic feedback? I don't have ps5
my childhood is always PS (had ps1, ps2, psp, ps3) and Nintendo (ds, 3ds, switch) and now im on PC gaming, my procon start drift and i'm wondering to get next gen controller
the problem with Xbox is the layout button is different neither with ps and nintendo (its vice versa between xyba, and left analog position is above)
i watched your video and had to choose PS in speak of subjectivity, but then again how about the durability? which one last longer with drift issue?
Hey thank you for popping by my channel! I find that the Xbox layout is relatively easier on the hand after time, but I can see it will take time for you to adjust. Now in terms of which was lasts longer, the Xbox box controller is more durable, and requires less frequent battery changes compared to the PS5 which frequently runs out of battery. Additionally, Xbox has no known drift issue as of yet. But overall, I love both controllers. I am debating if I should do a comparison on the Xbox Elite and PS5 Dual Sense Edge controller as well.
Hi, I need a new controller for my PC. Which one of them would you suggest for a PC player?
I would strongly suggest you grab yourself the Xbox Controller for the PC
If the Xbox had the ps5s triggers then it would be the one. I feel both has pros over the other. Shame we can’t have it all 😂
I mostly play online, the built in mic and the more responsive controller, dualsense hands down.
The built in mic is absolutely amazing 👌🏾
If your DualSense buttons are getting mushy maybe wash your hands a bit more often..?
Aha it’s not that, the button travel feedback gets less responsive, and it’s something alot of people ik have experienced as well 🤷🏽♂️ but glad to have you on this channel mate! And happy holidays 🎉
Nah, mate ps5 controller buttons are shit, the features are good. Idk if u know this but things don't last forever, they eventually break.
I guess xbox focusing on confort where ps focusing more on feature none is perfect ( exept of course my 20+year old gamecube controller pure perfection)
Unfortunately i havent try the new dualsense controller yet since ps5 isnt really that interesting right now game wise and so is the xbox too at the moment that why im currently on pc pretty much the best of both world right now having pretty much every game from past generation / pc exclusive and ps/xbox games all starting to show up on pc.
I kinda want to get a dualsense but xbox controller are just also the safer choice for pc and also is the cheaper option .
I might still get one to see if i like it .
You hold both the dualsense and Xbox controller wrong, your index fingers don't go on the triggers.
I want to buy one of them but my budget is limited so if im gonna buy it i had to know that it will last for a good time . Which one is more durable (or have better build quality)?
When it comes to durability I might side with the Series X controllers.
@@YathuU Thanks for reply mate :)
For me - main reason that DualSense are bad - is a worst battery life....
Which game are you playing ? 3:08
Watch dogs legion i think
whats better for PC specifically for fifa ?
Hey please help me I'm confuse actually, I love the dual sense feature but I am afraid will it work with pc or it is a headache, should I go for xbox controller?
Xbox Is just easier to use than the ps5 controller, especially for fighting games that require button mashing and diagonal inputs. It just feels more smoother than the ps5.
Complete opposite since you have to let go of the analogue sticks more often
PS5❤️👏🏻
@@airspoon6 yess I can see where you come from! Anyways love having you on the channel! Hope to see you more often :)
@@YathuU I just plug the PlayStation charger wire into a apple charger plug don’t have to move at all
"don't let anyone tell you one is better than the other." idk abt the rest of you but thats why i came here.
Hi.
thank you for a good informative video 🙏👍
which controller would you recomend for IOS devices such as on Apple tv 4k, ipad and iphones?
Hey! I would recommend the Series X Controller for iOS devices.
hey which controller would you recommend for playing on Pc
Hey I wouldn strongly suggest the Xbox controller for the PC because if has a longer battery life and more versatile. But for features the PS5 DualSense is a good pick.
@@YathuU thanks for answering, just put an order for xbox 20th anniversary controller
I dont even own a PS5 but I want a dual sense. I just looks fantastic compared to my xbox controller.
It's trash, trust me.
Tbh I much prefer the Xbox series x controller. It's so comfortable, has better grip this time, perfect weight and balance of rumble. It's not some midget sex toy like the ps5's controller.
Ur moma be using a controller as a se toy ? 🤣
I used to be like an xbox dude until i tried the controller 😢
The controller is bad? Lemme know please
Be real, the only good thing of the ps5 controller is gyro, but literally no one uses it. The rest is not only a gimmick but also makes you play worst especially in multiplayer games where every millisecond is crucial.
ps5 design just hurts the hand. I have asked lot of users.
are your dual sense controller stil working?
Yes they are! I havent had any problems
Hi I have been a ps user for 7 years but now I'm thinking to switch to Xbox series x because it is cheaper here in Pakistan. Here ps5 costs 700 usd and not a dime less but Xbox is only like 440 usd so I'm forced to buy Xbox eventhough I want ps5 because my parents can't afford it so is there any game on game pass similar to gor if war so I may go there
Comfort wise and long gaming sessions series x controller is way better !
Which is the best for pc ps5 or Xbox series x?
I personally prefer the Xbox controllers but there is no best, one is better for comfort (Xbox) and other is better for haptic feedbacks and etc (PS5)
But to answer your question, for PC I believe the Xbox is much better
@@YathuU is ps5 controller advantage work at pc

@@YathuU does Dualsense advanced haptic feedbacks benefit PC users via third party softwares like DS4Windows? Or these features are only present with PS5 console ?
so you made a video to tell what YOUR OPINION about both, and in the conclusion is that we should decide for ourselves? Theres no sense in this conclusion.
Hey thanks for coming by the channel, and to clarify this was a review to help viewers understand what they offer so they can choose what console/controller they will pick out. I had pointed out what the Xbox controller offers and what the DualSense offers and ultimately in the end, if I’m being completely unbiased, they both are amazing controllers but it depends what you are going for (as detailed in the video). But most of the time, an individuals “preferred” controller would tend to leans towards the console they grew up playing. But above all, they both offer their owns pros and cons.
@@YathuU im a pc'er so mostly it comes down to the triggers for racing games and staying as far a as i can from stick drift.
From you experience, if you had to make a wild guess, which of them you think is more probable to get drifting?
@@EugenioHertz I honestly will say the DualSense has a higher change of stick drift, the Xbox sticks are pretty solid and haven’t heard of any cases of drift issues on the series x controller as of yet, but I’ve come across a couple of stick drift issues on the DualSense

The series x controller sucks for people with above medium or large hands because of its tapered top design.

Aha valid point! The dual sense does get annoying how you got to keep charging it
Eh
I bought a 10 foot extended cable for the PS controller. I never recharge it. I'm loving it.
I got a ps5 and a Xbox 1 s wont ever upgrade to series x because the controllers are the exact same you can argue about the minimal things but ps has never made a consumer buy batteries for their controllers Xbox released 3 generations of consoles n couldn’t even include that feature. How many more console releases do you guys have to wait to get adaptive triggers when you ain’t even got a included rechargeable battery lol I still like Xbox tho just not worth a visual upgrade if your not getting a controller upgrade
