🌺 @Cheryle King...as long as the label on the front of the package says it's okay to flush them, people are going to think it's okay to flush them. What needs to be done is, the label needs to be removed from the package. 🌺
In the 1st world you can flush them without any problems.

It's needs BIG warning label saying flushing these IS going to block your drains and cost you inconvenience and money.
And those addicted to polishing their bums won’t buy them for being too squeamish ~ the thought of being forced to dispose of them into the sanitary waste and the wipes having an excrement smear and smell on them 🤢

Andy i think too stop the clients from flushing wipes down the toilet, you should show them that video joe did a year ago when he pulled out that huge mass of wipes to make them aware that this is why you should never use wipes because not only does it cause a huge blockage, it can cause damage to the drain as well, also andy the audio on the go pro you're using goes from okay to muffled (just a little), just making you aware, overall good job on the unblock 👍, ps don't blame the team for nicking your delver you were probably half asleep and forgot it again 😆
Rarely see this type of blockages in Sweden. I think it's because our wye junctions aren't exposed to open air as much. Nothing for the wipes to catch to in proper enclosed wyes, as opposed to the halfpipe wyes with lips and gritty surfaces we commonly see in UK manholes.

It's good to see that on the FLUSH TEST, there are no wipes. when the video shows loads that were used before?

Not sure how I got here and fascinating to see the before and after but what's the point of flushing the wipes, so it then becomes someone else's problem ? It would make more sense to remove them.
When it comes to wipes there are 2 don'ts. No. 1, Don't flush wipes.
No. 2, Don't complain about having to pay a plumber if you do.

I've been watching your videos for over a year and enjoy them a lot. It would be great to understand how the hoses work. Do they spray backwards and forwards and why does a blockage stay stuck when you use a little head and instantly unblock when you pop on the bigger head. Heya from the land down under.
Jetting nozzles spray the water backwards, in order to propel the Nozzle along the pipe. Looks like they are using a small 1/4" diameter hose to start with, if the put the 'Medium Nozzle' on, this connects to a 1/2" diameter hose in place of the Trigger handle. Bigger hose naturally will carry more water, making the Jet more powerful.
You can get different nozzles for different applications, 'Forward facers' will spray forwards as well as backwards. 'Spinner' rotate at high speed to give a 360 degree clean, 'Warthogs' have nozzles pointing in all directions!

Apparently alot of people no matter where they live do not know how to read ! 😮
It states on the personal wipes, baby wipes, diapers,
AND ALL FEMALE PERSONAL PRODUCTS PACKAGES TOO!
But that's OK they all have the money to pay a sewer company to come over and pick that smelly shit up. We have bulavards here so are main sewer lines runs from the house to the big main pipes on the bulavards. That was quite expensive since the city water matenance man broke off our round steel cover off and We had to pay for a new one. It wasn't his fault we were told.
I bet you have some days where either one of you would like to batch slap some home owners. Great job guys and I commend all of you for a quest job.

People won’t learn as long as the companies who make them continue to market them as flushable. People won’t learn unless they themselves cause a blockage, then they may learn a valuable lesson DONT FLUSH the WIPES.
But they're not marketed as flushable. All the ones ive seen say Do Not Flush on the packet but stupid people still flush them anyway..
The last one was a very bad decision of manhole choose...

We need to put wipes in the trash among other things and not down the drains. No system was designed for that.

Just wondering if you have tried to educate people as not to flush wipes. Lord knows we try but they continue so we sent them letters saying that if they continued to flush the wipes, the city would begin charging them for time and equipment. That stopped many of them from flushing wipes.

Why wouldn't UU touch this if it's a shared sewer with both the customer's and the neighbour's waste? I hope the customer doesn't end up paying to fix the displacement as well.
I hope that drain is connected into a kitchen drain or they house needs to sort their diet out. I hate fat in drains, they smell really bad.

Wet wipes and not putting the entry pipe in the main channel👎 - we were always taught that you never put the main foul sewer pipe in on a side entry in the manhole - always run it in the main channel where ever possible
