I suppose when these properties were first built not everyone would need off road parking next to the house. With a combination of lots of paving and vehicles being driven back and forth, no wonder there is so much displacement. 👍

(Not copyrighted🤔 from franks carpets (I love carpets me!)😂😬 lol I can only imagine customers face when gravity pulled soil pipe thru lower toilet 🙊 I work as telehandler operator on building site and have free time sometims so assist in soil stack pressure tests and forgot to pull a bung out 1 time from dual run and simulated this problem with a bath release (needless to say the bath and stack held well until I realised it all released to main hallway via ground floor toilet ) (fresh water) cos some numpty (I.e ME 🤔) left 1 bung in manhole inspection chamber only happened once believe me 😬😂 lol great job joe your the man on this 1 great job pal lovely pipe burp too on good flow 👍👍 andy needs harness or working at height tickets 😂😂😂boing boing boing 😂thanks for your time guys be safe and see you👍👋

We had the exact same Suprasteel cover in our backyard when I was kid….it was a bugger to get up
Just shows ya our new fancy toliets that are low water output might look nice but cant even take a shit away just another bloody maintenance job a household had to take care of and God help the elderly.
First the new in thing was to get rid of high level cisterns, then it was suggested to get rid of syphon toilets, much better fit this new close coupled cistern straight onto the pan. Next save water new 6lt flushes. Now we end up with close coupled cisterns in a downstairs loo with minimal water used for a flush. All this screams of a blockage somewhere down the line.
As a plumber I am fitting more and more high level full 9 to 12 liter cisterns including flush valve to suit. The properties that have received this retro upgrade ( and it is an upgrade) no longer suffer from blocked drains.

All those pipes on the outside of the building much be a typical British thing, I haven’t seen it in any other country. I’m surprised it doesn’t freeze up in the winter. In the Netherlands the pipes are in the walls or on the inside of the building (hidden away).
We hardly get it cold enough to freeze pipes. Mains water pipes are on inside anyway.
