I can not believe how impossibly difficult this game is to do everything in without a million guides. I love the game, but man they really don't want you doing this stuff in one playthrough. Even with help from the internet I totally messed a bunch of things up.
Did you play Dragons Dogma 1? This game is actually easier than the first game as you get way more time to do things compared to the first game.
@@beeronilikemacaroni2183 That's not true. There were no timed quests in DD1. Quests were based on main quest progression and even then it was only a few.

@@theobell2002 There were def timed quest in dd1. One quest i remember always failing was the witch wood.
In Dd1 there were entire side character arc that would be lost if you didn’t backtrack at specific moments in the storyline.
Unless you had a guide you were almost bound to miss some of them on your first playthrough.
You should have a Thief in your party for a chance to steal wyrmlife crystals while fighting the bosses. My Thief stole 200 something crystals while doing this
absolutely agreed i risk utility for 2 thieves in the party to plunder the rewards it’s where you get mad rich, also if they plunder drakes you get pieces of armor you can’t get anywhere else in the game

Been seeing a lot of people asking and I was personally wondering until I cleared it myself, so here’s the answer-
From what I can tell, it seems unlimited. Or at the very least, you have quite a long time to explore and enjoy yourself. I followed this video two days ago, completed everything, and since then I’ve rested maybe 15-20 times and the fog doesn’t seem to have moved a bit. Only issue I’ve had was my pawn getting dragonsplague and me not having a lake to throw him in. Lol.
So take it easy, clear your beacons, rescue the people and enjoy your time in the unmoored world. If anyone has any questions, I’ll try to clarify.
EDIT:
It does force you out eventually despite the fog not moving, it’ll stop allowing you to sleep in general, but you really do have quite awhile. And if you wanted to, you could persevere and keep playing well past that point with allheals and wakestones
Also, for anyone curious, the game won’t let you sleep in one of the evacuated towns if your pawn is about to release dragons plague. Gives you a “cannot do this right now” message. Thought I was gonna be clever and nuke an empty town for a free dragon fight lol just had to throw him off a cliff and let him bleed out instead
Can you farm The lindworm chrystals in this endgame area? Or do you only get them from the Red beacon Fights?

@@Ass4ssin007 there are all of the original drake spawns in the game still there with the addition of some lesser dragons around, so yeah, you can. I did a whole loop around the map killing all of them. Take a thief that has plunder with you for freebies
Do I have to do stuff in order like the video suggests or?
Just saying for the beginning, you don’t have to go to the underside of the dragon. You can stay on top and just do it once you notice a glow. That’s what I did when I got here
i had to go closer to the chest for the ability to use the sword.

This helped me so much I was so lost in the world and all. Then heard there is a time limit and panicked searched everywhere how to do the quest couldn’t find anything until this vid because no one knew much about this part guess that’s the price of buying a game this early. Still thanks allot because of you I didn’t miss anything.

In the Regentkin's Resolve, Allard may have already bought the oxcarts (mind the previous quests involving him) - just draw your wep and he will run for his life. So you got the oxcart instead 👍

Tip: always bring battahl residence permit given to you in the main story quest. So beastren will not attack you inside the palace or laboratory. It's just a piece of paper weighing 0.01kg

For anyone who didnt do the elves quest and not earning their trust but still having to evacuate just talk to the leader once and rest and do this for 3-4 times and he will submite and evacuate the city
Dude thank you! I gave up on evacuating them when I found out in the video you had to do their quest so they would evacuate but after seeing your comment and doing what you said, it worked and was able to get everything done!

I missed the evacuation quest in Battahl after finding my pawn, I destroyed the dragon but went straight to seafloor shrine after that, I killed all the Dragons and went back to Battahl last but the NPC is nowhere to be found for me to evacuate the city, Any clues?
i would advise getting simple thief pawns and a mage they trivialize boss fights with skullsplitter and fill your pockets with gold and important items along the way
bro, that plunder shit is actually kinda op when it pulls through.
I think if you hurry and do all the red pillars first, it stops the fog from shrinking and taking out the cities. At least it didnt happen anymore after i lost the Volcanic Island Camp and went ahead and completed them all.

I had a feeling the game was coming to an end when I was asked to deliver the sword, so I decided to put a hold on that quest and I reached level 70 before getting there so it was so much easier to go through this crazy underworld. Amazing tips, thank you!! 🙏🏼

If we clear every beacon before the seafloor shrine do we have an endless amount of time to explore the world? I can't find any solid answer on this, some people say they've spent dozens of sleeps in the unmoored world and others say they can't rest anymore.
Bring 2-3 sorcerers with you for the bosses and watch them get melted by tornados and meteors.

ATTENTION! Do not rest in Vernworth after extinguishing the beacon and before completing the evacuation of Vernworth mission from this guide or you will be locked out of volcanic Island. Also speak with Captain Brant in the tavern before heading to Sven or you will be wasting more time as he is what starts the evacuation mission not Sven.

@ChrizJenson after finally going through it, it was actually quite painless thanks to this guide.
I'd also already done every quest but 1 random unrelated side quest beforehand, and made sure to place my portcrystals.
And the bosses just melt to sorcerer maelstrom.
So now I'm just exploring in peace without worrying about the fog.
Enjoying this endgame quite a bit.
It’s definitely a step up. You’ll be running into skeletons and higher variant saurians regularly. There’s also 6-7 pieces of armor gear that are completely exclusive to the unmoored world, so would definitely advise you watch a video about getting those.

Easily the best guide out there for the unmoored. Might want to add the bit about how the elves make you plant a tree in the shrine before they'll evacuate though.

@@zxcharilla It is pretty self explanatory, when you get to the sacred arbor in the unmoored, the brother and sister will greet you and take you to their father, Taliesin. They'll discuss about how the arbor heart needs to go with them and they'll give you a sapling to plant at the seafloor shrine. Once you do that you go back to the arbor and they'll evacuate. Not sure why I had to do that since i did all the elf quests.
@@zxcharilla I didn't do any of their quests (because I got pulled into endgame before I knew what was happening) and I just talked to him several times after talking to his daughter and he agreed to evacuate. I just saw elves at the seashrine, and I did absolutely nothing but tell him to leave.
Btw if you just didn't do arborheart recruit a pawn that speaks elvish and can still save the village

After picking up Halls of the First Dawn, head to Flamebearer Palace and speak with Nadinia. She will advise you that Menella will be able to help you better and that will start the quest Civil Unrest. You can find Menella at the Mercantile Ward, near the red beam.

Appreciate the vid - ty! For anyone like me that didn’t save the heart of Sacred Arbor in the regular world, can’t initially evacuate Elves. However, if you speak Taliesin, rest & speak with him again the dialogue changes. Rest 3 times and in the final conversation Taliesin will admit defeat and evacuate the citizens of Sacred Arbor. Just be mindful of the number of days you’ve slept.
But can we get back to the save before we started the last quest and still explore the world before the ending?
For the elves if you have trouble with any of the questlines like roman missing just exhaust the elf leaders dialogue rest repeat until he admits defeat
If you did not kill the gigantuas before this, he wont appear for you to get the " I Talos" Achivmenet, i messed that up so need to do it in NG+ :(
i wasn't able to kill him before going into the unmoored world, so since he wont appear is it impossible to stop the fog from progressing?

@@ProfessorBuckz No, you can still do it. Just be careful that you don't sleep too many times before doing the beacons. If you don't sleep or pass the time manually you have infinite time. So how much time you have in the Unmoored world is just based on how good you are at the game and how often you need to sleep to refill health.

Nothing but Talos' arm is in my Unmoored world, I'm on day 2 with access to the full map and only the final red beacon in Seafloor remains.
Successfully evacuated all the locations: Excavation Site, Volcanic Island, Sacred Arbor, Vernworth, and Bakbattahl too.
I ran on foot from Bakbattahl, past the Volcanic Island Camp, past the arm by the lava, all the way to the point where I believe Talos goes in the lava and didn't find it
Honestly this game has made me appreciate my job more as nothing feels so much like a chore than playing it
I got the achievement for evacuating all the settlements after only evacuacting the 3 main cities (Vernworth, Bakbathal, Arbor).

Quality of life tip for Ferrystones, there are a bunch on the path south from Harve village to the Seafloor shrine. There's a quest to escort the crazy man near the portcrystal to Seafloor shrine and on the way there are several just laying on the ground
My questions is after all this does the world still on a timer or did it stop completly until I do the last beacon.
Just completed it now before watching the video. Assumed that red beacon was just another bossfight but it was the ending cutscene and now I can only go to NG+ no going back.
I'm a little disapointed with the endgame tbh. It's really cool, but then with basically the one quest and couple of the red beacons it really only takes a few hours.

NG+ seems pretty pointless. Looks like enemies don’t really scale up so you’re just one shotting everything at the start.

Think it advances and eventually when you rest a cutscene plays and the world ends, it’s like you have 2 attempts.. and obv places get covered up as you rest and can’t go back to them

Just a small nitpick but you don't need to climb to the underside of Grigori (The Dragon) to Godsbane yourself.

Sux you aren’t getting a more experienced response than this, but from what I read, you just lose access to those areas and you can’t do anything w them anymore.
If all of it progresses I THINK it’s NG+ but I can’t say for shre
TIP: if you do the Talos giant first it will also kill the dragon you’d otherwise have to fight near the volcano camp
Fighting dragons is best part of the game? Why would you want to skip a fight?! Odd.
I’m slightly confused. Not sure if I missed something but I went to the exact location where the red beacon was supposed to be outside the volcano town and there was nothing there. I still had battahl, the arbor, and vernworth beacons though. Anyone else have this issue? Now I’m worried my game is bugged and I’m afraid to sleep in case it is and the clouds start encroaching on that area.
I'm having this issue. I also resurrected talos and cleared the 3 other red beacons on day 1. The final beacon appeared outside of the sea shrine but when i fast traveled there thr fog immediately descended on the island.
If Allard has procured the carts before you, threaten him by jumping on/grabbing him.
I got stuck on the sacred harbour as I didn’t do the quest to unlock the city.
The way I completed it was by going there, speaking to the son towards the inn.
He says he will try to pursuade his father to leave, which he is unable.
I rested a total of 3 times at the inn close by, speaking to him each time after I rested until he finally gave in and evacuated the city. Hope this helps someone

You can carry queen disa to sven too and it’ll trigger dialogue between the two (the box automatically moves into his room during this)

6:48 idk if it happened for anyone else but if you go down to persuade the merchant, there’s a guy there who bought the ox carts already, just kill him them run back to the palace to get rid of Agro, and you can convince the merchant guy again.
I unsheated my weapon and the carts are mine xd
Yeah, you only need to unsheath your weapons to make him back down
Just grab him it acts as an intimidation tactic and he runs no need too kill him
You can tackle him and he'll back down
So, two things I did. Was I did every red beam first. Get a bunch of crystals and xp. I used the mystic spear hands bubble a lot of the time. Helps so much. Then proceeded to do all the quest stuff (while exploring) for the elves if all you have left is something about the tree and you need a spoiled apple and fish. What I did was just evacuate bakbattahl and it “fails” it. But you’re able to evacuate them afterwords either way
can you sleep after getting to the final part? or does it still progress the fog?
What if I rested 1 to many times and some towns got blocked off can I still complete it

Followed this guide, very helpful. But I've realize I'm experiencing a problem since after evacuating the settlements, even the excavation site, that the vendors aren't appearing in Seafloor shrine.

If I didn't finish the sacred arbor quests, but I already evacuated Vernworth, am I screwed? Doesn't seem like I'm able to talk to the Guard outside Vernworth castle to start that quest...which means I can't evacuate the elves I think? Help appreciated.
8:38 Don't know if anybody has said anything but it's worth noting if you never did Lamond's quest OR gave him any gifts to raise his affinity he will decline to evacuate on both dialogue options. Just got to this point on my playthrough and kind of never got around to doing his stuff lol.
How did you get step 11 I completely evacuated all the towns the mission completed. Yet I can't seem to get that scene, am I missing something? Tried sleeping a few days then a few more just to see and still nothing.
Is it safe to roam around and sleep after clear all the beacon and have the final beacon show up at bayside shrine?

Dude, I have done this, following your excellent guide (Ty) 2 times, but both times I do NOT have the beacon in the volcanic island, do you have any idea why? I have completed all the quests and side quests that I know of, plus I have completed almost all the hidden achievements in the game. thanks.
What happens if you don't have the ordinance box, I never did that quest and I'm at the place with trying to get them to leave venmorth adisa won't leave and I just keep going back and forth and nothing's happening
If you did not finished the ornate box quest, the box will not be in the table next to the queen. In my case I did finish the quest for the medicines and the little girl but I never bought the box or gave it to Sven. Luckily you can still go to the merchants quarters and found the merchant that sells the ornate box it will be in one of the stalls nearest to the oxcarts entrance. You can then buy the box and give it to Sven.

It's really vague isn't it, no one seems to actually say you have unlimited time, but they also don't say its limited
@@ketaminewomble2562 from what I've gathered its based on the amount of times you rest, basically a skill check.
There is no night and day in the unmoored, so theoretically, if you just use allheals, save your wakestones you can stay in unmoored for quite some time.
Time doesn't pass until you sleep, I can tell you that much.
Fom what I've read it's 12 sleeps then it stops you from sleeping.

hi man please I need help, I am in NG+ before turning the crystals to the guy to repair the dulled sword, I want to the Ulrika quests but I can't get the dragon to spawn, do I need those to evacuate the people later in the unmoored world and get the trophy or can I let it go? I have done all the elves missions I think (I got the master archer teaching in this playthrough) I only need to find 15 more locations, 50 more tokens and get all the trophies to get the platinum, I am exhausted but I need to get it done I need closure so I can go back to real life lmao
Weirdly enough the red beacon near the Vulcano Island camp didn't appear on my game even on Day 1 or 2, did I make some oof? Or do I need to wait several days to make it appear??
I’m playing Magick archer and there is only one targetable spot on the beast in the Vernworth beam. Super irritating bc I did the ultimate and it took out two bars and now none of my other attacks will do anything.
I would recommend a thief build for these bosses, you can easily nuke the weak points and climb the bosses easier. It kinda how I did it (was actually Warfarer, but was using my thief blades)
I uses the ice arrows, they muti hit and shred all the bosses
Sounds more like a bug of some sort, or you're just missing the spot that you need to hit. Just did Magick Archer/Sorcerer Warfarer and pretty much exclusively used the massive multi arrow skill to blow up the eyes consistently, alongside some Flare towards the end to finish him off.
When I use the Godsbane at the final beacon place after finishing all the quests outlined in this video, I’m taking to the main dragon and the credits start to roll and eventually I fall off and the game asks me if I want to load from last save or give up. When I give up, I get a this tale has ended, and do I want to start from day of awakening or morn from day 10 in the unmoored world. No option for new game plus. Got the Guardian, Hero and Talos achievements. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

Grab the old man that bought the carts and talk to the vendor again
you can also unsheath your weapon to scare him

I have the wandering roots quest to speak with Taliesin, he says one line and there is no further interaction. I’ve killed the dragon for them, it just refuses to give me the quest for the arborheart. What am I supposed to do here
Step 11, doesn't appear on the map. After completing the Step 10 all available missions disappear and only the last red beacon is left. Anyone know what to do, to get the last two achievements?

I can’t get to the excavation site. I don’t have a port crystal there and the bridge to get to it is collapsed
If you had already picked up the Ornate box previously and don’t have it in your possession, like me, simply pick Disa up and take her to Sven’s room, that’ll complete that part of the quest.

Does anyone know if you can get the wyrmslife crystals from the dragons talos kills or are those gone? I looked all over but couldnt find the location where it fought.
I evacuated the people from the excavation site but it seems that zachary from there is no where to be found at the seafloor shrine nor from his original spot. Is that a bug?
So to get this ending you do have to fight the dragon or can you leave and the credits roll? I fought the dragon in my first playthrough and got the credits but I didn’t know about this and went right to ng+
