  • The Canuck - distributed by O'Dell Engineering in Cambridge is a good beginner entry gun. It comes in several model's 12ga, 20ga and 28ga with a 28" barrel. .It also comes as a 410 with a 26" barrel. It has a 3" chamber and comes with 5 chokes.

    Khan Arms used to make the Savage/Stevens 512 Gold Wing O/U shotgun as well. It was quite popular back in the day. I used to own one, but I sold it and bought a new Stevens 555 O/U (made by KOFS Arms) instead. The 555 is a better quality gun.

    I agree this is a nofrills gun. This was my trap gun. It shoots straight, not too heavy, the trigger is kinda crap to be honest and I am not impressed by the firing pin failures. Both my firing pins broke shooting 7.5 target load. Top pin in 2020 and now the bottom in 2024.

    Friendly advice…not a good idea to be seen discharging a firearm towards power lines. That’s a big no-no. 😃

      Thanks for the kind warning - I appreciate it. I actually practice where our police tactical force trains. Unfortunately the perspective of the video makes the lines appear MUCH closer they are - more than a quarter kilometre away. There is no risk to them with the distance and the use of target shot.
