I bought my all around hunting over under from Browning. I chose the 725 Feather 12 gauge over under with 26 inch barrels. Weighs about 6 pounds and 8 ounces and I use Trulock blackened stainless steel extended ported improved cylinder and improved modified chokes. Can carry all day in the upland fields and is short overall to shoot waterfowl from a blind or layout blind. Mine was $2580 two years ago. Now over $3000 if you can find one.

I hunt waterfowl with the Cynergy Wicked Wing. I love it. The adjustable comb is huge for me. Will shoot it as much as possible, but O/U can be awkward to reload at times in certain blinds. I've been pestering Browning on Insta to come out with this gun in a 20 gauge bec the newer non-toxic loads can be so lethal in sub-gauges.

I want a CZ Sharptail also. I’ve never had a SxS. Never even shot one. But when I shoulder one it points so good. I’d actually like an Upland Gun Company Venus model SxS. Gorgeous. Customizable. The company is located in Minnesota and contracts with a Spanish firm. But I can’t justify the cost. Minimum $4,500 and can go all the way to $10,000. The “base” $4,500 is all I want. It’s sweet. And light.

Might want to add Side by Side category in 2024 seem to be more in the market & making a comeback. Last night I saw the new Weatherby SXS side by side in 20ga & 12ga. It has a dip down center rib, then rises back up at the front bead, different. Everything except the wood finish was beautiful, hopefully they will get the finish ironed out & up to their quality standards very soon.

Hey man I’m that waterfowler that uses an over and under. In fact I have the wicked wing with a 28” barrel. I must say there’s a few cons when using it vs an autoloader but I still prefer it. It’s a great gun but I’m not a fan of its ergonomics either. I much prefer my citori but that’s my deer hunting gun. Unfortunately Browning discontinued the citori’s in camo or I would have purchased that instead. I also switch up to my CZ Redhead Premier Target 20ga with a 30” barrel which is my go to wing shooting gun. Thanks for the vid.

I almost got one of the Fabarm br 110’s but i was having a hard time finding chokes to buy for it and i like to run 2 lm chokes for sporting clays. Has any aftermarket companies started making chokes for it?
So i got the browning sporting instead.
Also have you shot the mossberg 940 pro field yet?
I got one with 28 inch barrel and it does pretty good. Its got all the cool stuff the 940 jm pro has but with a longer barrel for only $800

I own a Browning 725 pro sporting. It's a great gun. Shoot sporting clays, 5 stand, Continental, trap, doubles, and meet shoots @ 27 yards with it. Shoots well.
My only complaint is the bluing on the barrels are not very good.very thin bluing overall. where the hand guard snaps in has rubbed through. I own other shot guns worth more like a Kreighoff and a lot less like a at stoeger side by side upland that have much better bluing!

Can’t beat the shells ejecting out together. No matter how expensive your o/u is, alot of people just think it costs a pretty penny.

@targetfocusedlife The Cynergy Wicked Wing doesn't have an adjustable comb. However, the Cynergy Classic Trap does. Also, are you going to review the Beretta 694 at all?

I was looking for a good over-under. But I guess I’ll just stay with my 870 Wingmaster. A grand for an over-under is out of my price range.

The Wingmaster is a GREAT pump. You can’t go wrong with it. Waterfowl, pheasants, doves, clay birds... It points great. Also fail proof. Super easy to strip and clean. Don’t feel bad you can’t afford an O/U. I was in your same boat. But after I got the kids through school, paid off the ex-wife I finally bought an O/U. The Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon he chose here. Great gun. Pretty gun. I was thrilled. The Wingmaster gathered dust. I was hunting pheasant, grouse, dove 95 % of the time. But after a few years I missed the pump. I loved that pump. I got the Wingmaster out and shouldered. Damn it points good I said. Now I mostly hunt with it again lol. I just love it. And having a 3rd shell comes in handy sometimes. Initially because I used the O/U 5 days a week in fall for years I lost the damn instinct to rack back the Wingmaster after my first shot to load the next round. It was maddening lol. I’d be pulling the trigger, followed by “damn”. Once I got that back I was good to go. Ha.

Check out the CZ teal models. Can be had for under $700 on sale. Great all around O/U that is at home in the field or sporting clays range. I’ve got a few thousand rounds through mine, trouble free!

They can be had but do some research. My Wingmaster is a 12, wanted a 20 O/U. I’m very pleased with the TR Imports Light Super. Not pleased at all with my Yildiz Legacy HP-POI is WAY off.

Dang, new shotgun prices are out of hand! I’d definitely buy used. I’ve bought a near mint Browning Superposed special trap with grade 3-4 wood, 30” barrels recently for under 8. Same with a Franchi international trap and they were priced higher than a Superposed. About 20% the cost of a new car back then. Both amazing hand built, beautiful engraved guns with amazing wood at entry level prices new. Heck I even found a British SxS that’s fully hand engraved for 7. Amazing deals in the used market at the moment if a guy does his homework. Guns of that quality new start at ten grand and they still will be made by a machine 🤷🏽‍♂️

How’s the recoil being the gun is so light? What shells are you shooting with it for pheasant? I usually shoot 1 1/2 ounce bismuth for ducks . Was wanting to get a gun like yours, but thought because of the gun being so light the recoil will be a lot heavier and not able to tolerate it.

Hello Steve, I watch your videos from France, I'm french and I have a question : When people hunts ducks, pheasants and other birds in the USA do they cook and eat them or is it only for fun?
I'm asking you this question because in France they cook them so I was wondering if they would do the same in the US since both cultures are different.
