Thats pretty cool that they used Duel into the Incredible Hulk.
I think they also used Airport '77
Spielberg was not happy about it though.
J3dhédhéhhh
@@angelvillalobos3187 What does any of that mean?
Thought I was only one noticed that.🤣
7:26 That shot is from the movie Duel, one of Steven Spielberg’s earliest films.
Most of the footage is from that. I think the only original stuff is whatever included the actors.
@@dpurves28 Spielberg wasn't happy about it either.
@@grumpygremlin8031 No, he absolutely was not.
They might have gotten away with it if they'd just grabbed a scene or two but this was several minutes of footage.
They used several minutes of footage? Wow that is shameless use of stock footage.
This was one of my favorite shows back in the day growing up!
We used to watch this on a black and white TV on the 70s
So you can imagine my reaction the first time i went to a friend's house and saw it in colour
@Neji Hyuga 51, still fit, and no grandpa

nobody ever dies in the Incredible Hulk. Family friendly entertainment. Many shows back then were like that.
Imagine the A-Team shooting bullets at the Hulk.
People died in this series, Dr Marks in the pilot movie, Carol Fields in the married two parter, Lee Sung, the victims of the death mask killer, Dell Frye and the victims of his hulk in the first two parter.
1:45. Banner's car 🚗 starts overheating, and the speedometer rapidly drops to zero, but at 2:45 the car is miraculously fixed and running normally. Must have had an offscreen mechanic that quickly fixed the problem.
Wow. Literally the movie Duel with scenes from The Incredible Hulk spliced in. 😂
When David was trying to get the car uphill and the engine started overheating, I thought he was going to hulk out then, the way he was yelling and getting angry, that definitely would've triggered his transformation into the Hulk.
Apparently Dual was considered old stock footage when season one of The Incredible Hulk premiered. Loved the old Hulk show. The bad guys always got whats coming to them; but nobody ever really or permanently got hurt at the same time. Except maybe David!
David Banner was always well dressed, and it always amazes me how he kept those white pants pristine, even as the hulk. 😂
I!Agree With You About This One!Sandy!
@Millybeautss 😂😂
That's an unsolved mystery for life, Ms. Gaidola☺️
My big question is how many times he bought the same shirt.
I would buy two, just in case one gets damaged.
David always wore extra long pants and they're was a reason why and plus he always had to get new clothes after changing back from hulk
Fantastic actor Bill Bixby. Rip
Yes
I!Agree With You About This One Of Bill Bixby!David and Terry!
Steven Spielberg was not so amused when they used footage from his "Duel" movie.
II was thinking the same exact thing!!!
@@pmparis79 thought I was the only one to notice footage from "Dual" was used
Spielberg tried to get this episode pulled before it ran. Universe owned the rights too "Duel," and all the stock footage from the movie. Afterwards, Spielberg had his contract with Universal amended too show that he owns all of his footage from all the movies he made with the studio. It's still a sore spot for him, Spielberg stated the semi was destroyed in the movie. Yet, it showed up in this series and has a backdrop in other TV shows at the time.
I noticed that one also... Really starting to show my age!
When I first saw the episode I told my mom that was from the movie she didn't believe me then the movie I believe came on within a couple weeks then she believe me and I love that movie too
He was angry with those that were the bad guys, and gentle with those that were the victims. To see the big guy with little kids was a nice thing to see.
The blue grass music adds a “Dukes Of Hazard” feeling to this episode. Can you imagine if the balladeer narrated this one?!😃😆
Balladeer: So once again, The Hulk saved the day.
Now if a-only he could save Hazzard County from Boss Hogg...
Just imagine how many shirts he had to go through lol!
Every time someone saw the hulk they like what is that thing .

How many people are never going to learn not to make the hulk angry?
Right!!!!!
If you make hulk angry. Hulk smash
There are too many people who have to learn that lesson the hard way. And some of them need to learn it twice.

Lol! Or did he die?!
I love this actress, Jennifer Darling! She was Oscar Goldman's secretary, Callahan, on The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman! 😆😆😆😆
Yep your right my friend 😊
Growing up I thought of her as an underrated hottie.
That is one gorgeous woman 10:57
Great rack
So this should be a crossover!
Callahan: David, I’ll keep your secret. (Thinking Bionics)
David: thank you, Callahan. Nobody must know. (thinking the Hulk)
She was in The Bionic Woman as Peggy Callahan. I remember her fighting with Jaime Summers and her face being knocked off to reveal she was a Fembot.
"Never Give a Trucker an Even Break" - This episode was just awesome. I can understand Spielberg's disapproval of the episode's use of "Duel" footage, but with people mentioning it here, maybe there can be some renewed interest in this chapter of Spielberg's history.
I thought this episode looked like "Duel".
Sure Looks Like It!A!Duel!
SURE,THIS EPISODE LIKE DUEL
HA! I knew it.
One minute the car's overheating, the next everything's all right.
Gotta love it!
I think it was because they were going up hill, then they went down hill.
@@GSTE_ So what?
@@gerrymarko5893 well that means the car was under lots of pressure, but when they went down hill the pressure went away, thus making the car stop over heating and start to cool.
@@GSTE_ Sorry, nur it doesn't work that way. Because all the coolant is gone!
I always had a crush on Jennifer Darling. Would have liked to have seen more of her.
she was so cute on those bionic shows as the secretary. A little ditzy, but lovable.
I didn't know how she looked like until now. I remember she did voice overs for cartoons that I watched especially Centurions, Visionaries and Bionic Six. I'm happy to match the name to the face.
Hulk drives cars and flies planes. Pity they didn't make him an astronaut
I know huh.
They were both produced by Universal.
So the the two dudes die in the desert.
Green lives matter.
You see the Hulk ain’t as stupid as you think.

The footage wasn't 'ripped off' ... both The Incredible Hulk and Duel were owned by Universal Studios where Steven Spielberg was under contract when he made the film, so Universal could do whatever they wanted with it--
Exactly .

That was the longest Hulk out I've ever seen
Beg to differ, but "747" was the longest. Had to stay in David mode until they reached the ground! Courtship son Brandon Cruz was the copilot
I remember watching both Duel and The Incredible Hulk. By the way, if you watch the duel movie, they are zoomed out for the cliff scene and you can see the driver jump out at the last minute. Also, I never new the hulk knew how to DRIVE lol.
For once the hulk actually destroyed something 😆
It would've been so sweet if they'd had the Hulk actually threw the car at the truck.
It's be cool if they do a new TV series of the hulk . Without the smart hulk just the hulk we know and like
Hey, remember that really awesome sequence in the movie Duel? Since our action budget won’t cover this, let’s just cut the best scenes into this episode.
"It's that thing again!"
"He ain't gonna get away this time"
Escape is not his plan, boys. YOU must face him. ALONE!!
Dock workers in the desert? Okay I got you.
lol gotta love the stock footage of Duel intertwined in this episode
Steven Spielberg: STOP USING MY DUEL FOOTAGE
Just bought the series on DVD.
I will start it next week as I am finishing up a long project this week.
This scene looks quietly compared to the 1971 movie, Duel.

CONGRATULATIONS ❤❤❤❤
No one is gonna tell me that the folks who came up with this episode didn't watch or ever heard of the 1971 TV movie "Duel" which starred Dennis Weaver and directed by a young filmmaker who, in just a few short years, would become a legend, Steven Spielberg!!
I have Dual on DVD.

For a moment I thought The Hulk (not David Banner) could drive a car lol.
It'd be pretty awesome though. They should've kept the seasons going and have the big guy actually drive in one episode.
Imagine the road rage…don’t make him 😤
Well, the Hulk flew and landed a 747 so I'm sure a car would be no problem. lol
The semi truck and car from Dual!! How cool is that????
Why is he ever worried about anything he turns into the hulk solves pretty much any problem lol
There's no problem that can't be solved by smashing.
Those scenes are from the 1970 movie Duel.
I like how they are driving up a hill for 10 minutes with smoke billowing all over the place, when she obliviously says, "What is it?"
Then, after David says they were overheating, her auto shop training comes back to her as she quickly diagnoses, "It must be a radiator hose!"
That's cause it all footage from the movie Duel.

Looks like a lot of scenes from the movie Duel with Dennis Weaver.
It is
when the lady and banner were trying to get over the hill and the hosed busted I thought Banner was gonna hulk out then
Looks like parts from the movie Duel
She wanted to give David some loving.
Spielberg was angry about footage from duel being used in this episode.I believe he had it put in future contracts that his work couldn't reused again
The lady actress in this video also occasionally starred on the Bionic Woman tv show in the 1970’s.
Mike fell for the Banana in the tailpipe😅😅😅😅😅
The Incredible "Duel"!
"Well, she wanted to be kissed by a green frog?"
Re the stuff about duel. Maybe that explains why Spielberg makes his own movies and produces them under his own company and he really will never make a comic book film ever
Duel movie in November 13,1971 is in the incredible hulk season 1 never give a trucker an even break in April 28,1978. David was driving the red plymouth valiant with his friend Joanie.
Duel movie in 1971 Dennis Weaver as David Mann was driving his green plymouth valiant on the hill. And the incredibles hulk 1978 season 1 episode 7 never give trucker an even break. Joanie said to David there a new section of road. David said Joanie a question. What good will that do? David says. And Joanie said to David it's a steeper hill. Joanie said to David there to the right! Now when David was turning the red plymouth valiant to the new section hill road. Now Ted was driving the Duel truck semi gallon of computer components.
When David was turning into the Hulk while he was driving the red plymouth valiant on the top of the hill.
Why does this looks like the movie DUEL ..this is Duel lol good editing

4:17 WHAT IS IT WITH YOU AND TIRE BLOWOUTS BANNER?!?!
One thing I've noticed is that *NO ONE* ever sees him transform into the Hulk (or change back) in the many clips I've been watching on this RUclips channel. As far as everyone on the show is concerned, David Banner disappears for a while when the Hulk shows up. Then, the Hulk disappears when David returns. Now, I haven't seen every episode of this show. Has *ANYONE* ever see him transform or change back?
There’s many that actually have seen it. The only ones I can name off the top of my head though is this kid Mark, and David’s first love Elena
Well yes in the episode where a man thinks he is a famous author, he attacks David in the back of a police van and sees him transform.
Also a archaeology student recognises David in one episode and sees him transform after a cave in.
Also his wife in show did in married plus jack Magee saw it when there trapped and David had lost his memory. Jack finds out that it’s a man who becomes the hulk.
This is exactly like Steven Spielbergs first movie "Duel" where a trucker is chasing a dude in a red car
Saves woman by crashing into concrete wall at 100 mph
Hulk has a Duel.
MI FAVORITE SERIES OF HULK
I liked this episode
Deul 1971 movie was before the incredible hulk 1978 the truck never break in the tv.
I thought the Hulk was going to slam his feet through the floor and stop the car just like Fred Flintstone.
I thought it looked like they a "Duel" element in this Hulk episode!
This is the same car and truck from the movie Duel. The writer just wanted a version of Duel where the driver turned into the Hulk.
That truck driver looks like teofimo lopez
🌝Having the endurance of a truck driver is good; but having the endurance of a truck driver AND the strength of 25 truck drivers is even better!!🤣😆😄😀
The Hulk loves the ladies 😁
One question concerns me how many shirts have been torn to produce this series
Duel was a great film.
E. Honda: Balrog, you do believe this?
Balrog: Believe this Honda? Man, I’m shooting it!
