I always LOVE to see your videos. It is such an AMAZING resource. How many other places do you get to see videos driving around town? Especially in places that are more rural. Thank you SO MUCH for making these videos! My husband and I are scouting out moving to Montana, and we have been going through your channel!
Hi Will. The subdivisions you showcase are very nice, but the ones with the smaller lots remind me of a commercial from years ago. It showed about 10 houses and simultaneously 10 things occurred. 10 doors opened, 10 guys in suits exited the houses, 10 guys hopped over tri-cycles, and 10 guys got into cars to go to work. I currently live 3 ft from my neighbor to my right and 5 ft from my neighbor on my left. As a result, I would go nuts if I lived in an area as beautiful and spacious as the western half of Montana, and wind up like the commercial I described. However, I guess solitude is never far in Montana.
For real. Like kalispell jobs don't even pay high, and yet homes are almost as expansive like SD County homes. Only difference the low pay in kalispell. How do people afford it with massive lower pay?
Great video.I currently stay in Maryland near Washington Dc...Too crowded and expensive...i am a simple gut..I just want to work and relax...I am looking ford to learning more about Kalispell
Was thinking seriously about moving here but decided not to on account of how cold the weather gets, it’s still such a beautiful town though in Montana.
Kalispell is not the home I grew up in. Way too congested, way too much change in just the attitude of the town. It used to be fairly laid back, now it's stressful everytime I come back. That's why I live in Helena now.
Went to Helena this past summer. Great little downtown. Biked Mt Ascension in 103 deg heat. Seemed like the downtown was coming back to life again. Great , friendly people there though
I grew up there but left at the end of the summer of 1975, I never went back. Not because I didn't want to but because I procrastinated for too many years, and now it's too late. My youngest brother still lives there, and I'm not liking what I hear from him. I should have gone back to visit in the late 1980s.
This video was INCREDIBLY helpful and so appreciated. I have wanted to relocate from Maine to Montana for almost 30yrs. My husband and I are finally gearing up to do so. Do you have any suggestions on where to look for home rentals that would allow a Great Dane? We won't be purchasing until we have been there for awhile. Appreciate any help or suggestions you can offer.
Unlike most places, Montana real estate agents do not have access to rental listings. Rental homes are not listed on our MLS at this time. As an agent, I will occasionally hear about a rental that is available, but I don’t have full access to rental listings like I do with homes that are for sale. There are many rental companies here in the valley. You will need to Google "Kalispell Rentals" and check out the rental company websites in order to see the available rentals. Each company has their own list of rentals that they manage. Unfortunately, there is not a central location to see all of the rentals. After checking the rental company websites, don’t forget to check Zillow or the local newspaper classified ads.
Most of the houses look the same, except in the subdivision I think it was the 2nd to the end. Do they have homes outside of town on bigger pieces of property, like in Bozeman? Bozeman has beautiful homes with beautiful landscaping in areas outside of town or in places you normally wouldn’t even know about unless you lived there or flagged there like I did for road construction. And I know you’re showing this in winter but I’d like to see it in the other seasons to see what trees and flowers and bushes they have in town and neighborhoods. I don’t live in Bozeman but flagged there a lot through the years and it’s soooo beautiful. The landscaping everywhere is so pretty, every shopping mall has bushes and flowers. Have you done videos on Bozeman? Like the area on the way to Hyalite Canyon? And there’s so many other areas.
Those big lot homes across from Glacier HS are desirable. I recall a couple of those homes near the pit mine sold within the last year. Pit mines are a necessary evil but not sure how close I'd want to live to one for fear of dust, noise, and possible water table pollutants.
everything north of meridian is ruining kalispell. historic east side and everything around that area is the place to be if you want to enjoy true kalispell!
Some who can afford homes over 300,000 already own a house and will sell it and then take out a second mortgage to buy a home worth perhaps double the value of their original home in a more desirable location to their first.
@@shamrock241r8 they didn't leave. The winter did nothing to them. Why cause out east is worse than here. Ice and cold. Pile up wrecks. It's cake to them out here. It's dry, it's all just snow. Nice days in December feel great. Out east there wet and Cold. Montana isnfked.
As a native NYer who now lives in LA, I really feel for you and apologize. I did visit Kalispell a few years ago and loved it, would not try to change anything... But I also have seen my hometown and even parts of LA change a lot with the invasion of the super liberal hipsters. Change happens. It's just happening slower and a little differently out there but the pandemic definitely sped it up. Be well
Good grief it's going to be like big cities. I live in northeast California and get snow. I'm on 2 acres. I do not want a neighbor so close to where we can hand each other toilet paper. If I wanted that o would move to a big city here. I have family in Kalispell. Maybe they should move here. It's republican and mountains. I'm 14 hrs from Los Angeles and no where near the ocean as so many assume. Yes it rains in California and snows too. Stupid song.
Yes, I did this video in the Fall:ruclips.net/video/Pc4Njc_yNuo/видео.html Please subscribe to the channel and look around at all of the videos. I have done a video on just about every town up here!

moving to Northern lights boulevard ! don't know the house # my brother in law is moving out of it and my husband and I are moving in! looking to purchase a home to rent out while we are there
Such a lovely area :) though I'd probably choose a smaller town near it.
I hear you.
There is no “smaller” town near it that’s affordable.

It's like that here now. Ruined.
Yeah I agree. Not appealing to me. I’m sure the homes are beautiful inside but way out of my price range.
Kalispell is a great place to live but housing costs are going through the roof because so many people are moving here
Agreed… it’s so sad. I love the Flathead. It will always be home
For real. Like kalispell jobs don't even pay high, and yet homes are almost as expansive like SD County homes. Only difference the low pay in kalispell.

Why is the realestate so expensive there? It seems like there is not that much to do in this part of the Montana.

I live in Helena. I’d rather live in Kalispel.

As soon as I win the lotto....
Will, love Kalispel, would like to see this updated video done in summer to get a better idea. Great info though. Always enjoy you informative videos.
What is with the tiny lots, it's Montana.
Developers have bid land prices through the roof.
Why are there no chimneys for wood burning fireplaces? Is there a burn ban in Montana?
Everyone has a fireplace here
most the people moving into those subdivisions have never cut wood in their lives.
@@rustys.1070 those cheap , plain looking , square , cookie cutter, shit boxes you mean?

When I lived there there was no such thing as "Glacier HS". And wouldn't be for many decades.

most can't. and 300k is for a tiny house now.
Same way they afford a 75$ car. They don’t really.
What are average renting prices within 10 mi of the Kalispell area?

I bet the winters are very cold in Kalispell.
It’s the Rocky mtns , what do you expect?
It’s cold, but Montana Natives can handle it better than others, many people move and move out.
Nice ….
I am from Siberia, living in California. Dreaming to live in Montana😍🤩🤩

20 acres off grid home. $225K. Trego
What do people do for work in Kalispell? They can't all have jobs at Target!
To bad this was filmed on a cloudy day. You really can’t see the topography at all as far as the mountains go.
Montana is new california now. I'm trying to get out and watch all the city people ruin it.
its what happened to colorado 20 years ago
montana it’s amazing state i love too live in montana
What is the Internet situation there? This comes from the view of a PC gamer, which is why I need to know
Well since you won’t be outdoors and neighborly why not get a efficiency POD in the heart of the Matrix: LA, NYC, CHICAGO ETC
Wouldn't John McIntire and Jeanette Nolan be surprised
Not having a job in Kalispell means not wanting to work.
I will think about moving to kalispell if u start climbing up the mountain again dude. Until then NO :)
Kalispell is too flat for my taste
