Great video. I applied your techniques, and I could feel myself getting more control over my wheel. There's something about the way you explain things that I really sinks in. Keep making these great videos!
Thanks man, these tips were actually helpful and the idea of using one leg to lean / drive forward instead of my whole body leaning forward has been a game changer for me riding past 20mph. Much appreciated!
On a motorcycle they say speed up if you can. I once had a wobble and did indeed fight it and regained control but carving should deffo work if you have the room
I started out with the M super V3. I was advised to go with a smaller wheel/less powerful wheel because I was a beginner. I was able to appreciate the value of a heavier wheel which is the MSP. MSP allowed me to appreciate how how the wheel stability increased with its weight. This is not to necessarily promote advanced wheels for beginner riders but one of the key factors was how costly any given wheel can be. So purchasing a wheel for learning is very costly... as well as ... crashing an expensive advanced wheel. Everyone please be safe because you can get hurt at even a 'slow velocity'
M super V3 still my first wheel after 2 years of riding. I just crashed it last week 49 kmh at night due to a pot hole. Lucky me the wheel went roll crashing in the grass but i slide on the bike path with my full gear that saved my skin. Still a great wheel but can't wait to upgrade next spring. Gear up people !

Nice work sticking with it and learning on a heavy wheel right off the bat. I did the same and it def took me a while and for a min there, i thought i wasnt gonna get it. Then it all clicked and everything changed. Now I'm glad i didnt buy a cheaper, less powerful, yet still expensive wheel. Lol keep up the good work
@@patc2515 that was a year ago and am at over 6k km of riding now. Wheel looks like it went through war lol. Best decision, money spent hands down, NO REGRETS!!!
Nice tips & advice. I glad you mentioned weight because I feel so many riders focus on speed & range but leave the topic of weight on the back burner. Excellent video my Brother! Peace & Blessings!
Thanks for the tips! Could you do a video that explains the tight turning technique you were using when carving at speed? You mentioned that you could do it, but you didn't explain how you were doing that. It definitely seems like a nice trick for avoiding obstacles at speed.
I just bought an Inmotion V12 Pro (basically same as HT) which is my first wheel. I'm at a point where I can mount and get started successfully most of the time, and I can generally ride in control. Not super confident with hard turns (hope to be able to turn like you do in this video). I'm not trying to accelerate very hard yet. Just taking my time, acquiring the skills, etc. I've been riding for about two weeks, mostly short sessions. No power pads installed yet. I find that I start to get the wobbles pretty consistently around 20mph. As soon as I feel it coming on, I brake gently and slow down a bit. Then I gently start to accelerate and get the wobbles again right around the same speed. That speed threshold seems to have increased from roughly 15mph to roughly 20mph over the course of a week. So if it's just muscle memory that takes time to develop, that's fine but I can't tell if that's what it is, or if I'm doing something wrong. I can tell you I'm tall and heavy with size 15 shoes, and I definitely place my feet tight against the shell of the wheel.
the muscles take time to develop especially if you didn't do a lot of cycling before this. take it slow and don't crash, don't push the limits until your body catches up months later.
i was getting break wobble on the v11 and i thought i was doing something wrong, but nope! apparently you just get used to it and dont let it control you
So starting on a smaller wheel didn't help? Asking because I started on a Sherman and can ride any wheel and almost no wobbles. I hear opposite experiences with starting with a small wheel
Nice video bro, I agree with what you're saying. Glad someone is lookin out for the next generation of euc riders, great tips.. Wish I had a mentor style breakdown when I was learning yrs ago. Would a saved a few crashes lol.
Same. Squatting down even with weight evenly distributed makes any wobble worse on my shermax. Stock kenda tire and happens at any pressure, but worse over 27psi. My weight with kit is 248lbs. When wobble starts it’s usually above 30mph and the only way to stop it is to lean forward slightly and stand up as tall as possible with even weight on the balls of my feet. It won’t work with even weight on center or heel of each foot.
