I had an option. An euc for $3400 or less. I got the vf5 because of how real this comment is. I need to be good at a slow wheel before I can go all in.
Terrific channel! New EUC rider since May, and you're right about being confident on the wheel. I needed two weeks to get my hips and core ready and balance training until I felt confident. Appreciate the wobble tutorial!
Thank you for this video. I am a new euc rider (I recently learned on the v12 ht.) And I had my first 15-20 mph crash where I flew forward and landed on wrists, knees, chest, and chin. I was wearing full protection so I wasn't hurt at all but it did put some fear in me and fortunately my euc is fine too. I crashed because I was nervous being on the bike lane for the first time. You are absolutely right, it is all about having confidence and my hesitation made me crash. I am going to practice the balance drills you suggested in this video. Thanks again!
I'm getting my first wheel in a few days. A V11. Really appreciate all these informative videos. I used to race motocross in my younger days. What George is saying about rider mentality is spot on. Even though I have zero EUC experience yet, everything seems to jive with motorbikes about not bailing and staying mounted. I'm sure there will be lots of fun counter-intuitive challenges to learn from. When I was racing 9 times out of 10 standing on the pegs, getting your weight back and grabbing a handful of throttle saved most unstable and low traction scenarios. Like deep sand and gravel. I look forward to learning all the new techniques with an EUC. Riding a powered front wheel. You gotta be insane! Sounds like fun!

Got my first high speed wobble yesterday on my master v3. I had only ridden an Mcm4 before that but got bored with the speed of the wheel in 2017 and hadn’t purchased another wheel till now. The wobble made me think of bailing but I didn’t want to damage my new wheel or my gear so I pressed the wheel hard with both legs and slowed down. I saved it. It felt really good. I appreciate the time you take to make these videos and give the advice you do. The advice you gave about carving in an out while you ride is the best advice from any rider I’ve seen so far, thank you so much. You’re one of my favorite personalities on a EUC. Thanks again.
When i first started riding i would get wobbles when i would de-accelerare from higher speeds. I also use my right toes to accelerate and more pressure on one heel when slowing down. The wobbles can be a little unnerving at first, but i can almost guarantee once u get a few hundred miles of riding under your belt you wont worry about any wobbles even when u get them
This is where I am currently. I am just now getting up to about 15mph and the wobbles have been happening alot today especially on decelerating. Good to see this is a normal problem as I don't have anyone teaching me
Your correct about week ankles, iam getting ready to buy my 1st EUC,have a one wheel pint x for a few months, already getting bored with it,week loose ankles causes wobbles big time,18mph is pretty slow, standing sideways is like falling at 50mph,have not fell at speed yet, only at a couple mph, very awkward no time to twist around,a little bit of fun,not worth the $$$ iam thinking,EUC, s the way iam going
Top Tips: Noodle Bars! ... As a new rider, I found existing EUC pads too thin to squeeze my legs against when riding, so I cut two lengths from a foam swimming noodle, trimmed width and fitted horizontally, high up sides of EUC... which reduced Wheel-Wobble because contact point with legs are continuous during riding and higher up, giving better leverage control of EUC.
This helps. I started getting wobbles trying to slow down. Before I could slow down and control any wobbles. I switches EUCs and thought it was the EUC. What happen was I upped the tire pressure per videos saying EUCs need above max tire pressure. I’m not jumping, just a curb now and then. I’m gonna let some air out and hopefully get my control back. Thanks.
I do that exercise everyday. The twist is always needed. Sometimes I use the rollerskating system, pressing on one foot and then switching is the key. I'm having fun with my V12 HS. Enjoy your ride.
This is so informative. I've noticed, while seated, it's easier to control wobbles by squeezing your legs together. Then it feels like a motorcycle that's honed in. When standing you're absolutely right. You have to dig in and force it back into alignment.
Wobbling is a "marginally stable" event. It wont knock you up (unless you do something extreme). Oscillations are just going to increase into some extent. You can think of yourself as of a flexible structure that has some stiffness in some directions. The structure becomes oscillatory at some speed dependent on the stiffness of it. There are ways how to limit this. One of which is to not reach for the critical speed. Other is to change the stiffness (changing the critical speed) and that can be done in many ways. You can change your pose by moving feet forward / back. You can squeeze the euc by your knees. You can have your feet in asymetric positions forward / back or angled. You can also do the S turns. Less tire pressure helps by much. The worst thing one can do is to directly / actively fight the oscillations or to panic and bail out. Fighting the oscillations will make it even worse because those are higher frequency than what can human react to - making the human reaction out of phase -> helping oscilations. Anyway, I consider myself quite strong in lower body part and there are certain situation where I am wobbling. Especially when its cold and muscles are "overacting" or during heavy braking. Sometimes just need to know that it exists and that you need to live with that. This is offcourse a big topic for bicycles. You can find a lot of good information and videos regarding the event and how stiffness of frame / cyclist affects it.
You are talking about the exact same thing as motorcycle "tank slapper". You can't fight it. Reduce speed and let it to balance it back. Most of the time its because of the hard braking or hard accelerating. (accelerating makes the front wheel of the ground and transfers weight almost %100 to back wheel that makes wobble easier which is not apply to EUC)
HI THERE, GREAT VIDEO AGAIN. DOING 50 TO 55 ON A SHERMAN, I WAS GOING INTO SPEED WOBBLES A LOT. I USED TO RACE MOTORCYCLES, SO I'M CONFIDENT OF HIGH SPEED WOBBLES. MY CALVES WERE ALWAYS GIVING ME PAIN. I RIDE BAREFOOT HERE IN HAWAII, LONG HAIR FLYING AND NO PROTECTION, HAWAIIAN STYLE. SO ONE DAY I TURNED THE VETERAN ON, LEANING ON A WALL, THEN PUT A SMALL LEVEL ON THE TOP. THE BUBBLE WENT ALL THE WAY PAST THE REAR LINE OF THE LEVEL. THEN I WENT TO WHERE YOU ADJUST THE LEVEL. I MOVED THE BUBBLE ALL THE WAY PAST THE FRONT LINE. MAN, THAT SOLVED ALL MY PROBLEMS. MY BARE FEET NOW IS ALL THE WAY ON THE FOOT PLATES, WITHOUT LEANING ON THE BALLS OF MY FEET. ALL THE SPEED WOBBLES GONE NOW.
I remember my first 3 km ride on V8 out of the training ground. I guess it was the longest sustained wobble in the history :-). With more km ridden wobbles started to be less and less of a problem. The bigest improvement I noticed, was after I staretd riding on off road tracks. After few tens of km offroad I got rid off dangerous wobbles on road completly and now I get some minor ones only. So you are definitely right about enriching ones skillset by doing more km and riding in different conditions. I also noticed I get more wobbles when my brain is tired, but it might be connected to my health condition.
definitely seem to be more prone to wobbles after a long ride. between mentally relaxing to much on the wheel and being physically tired it can put you in a dangerous position
I can attest to leg strength being a huge factor. I have been an avid road cyclist for most of my life and learning EUC I've realized my very toned/strong legs are a huge benefit for it. I definitely had to work through foot pain at first and develop the core muscles better, but overall I've had very little issue with wobbles. I did have more early on and found part of it was that my feet were too far back on the pedals .. moving forward so only my toes are off and heel completely on helped eliminate that completely. Lastly like you say... riding it out seems to be everything, if I feel wobbling starting and lean back it always gets a worse, a bit more acceleration cures it every time. Also 100 percent agree on mental preparedness/not panicking.
Got my first wobble at the speed you mentioned 4th day of riding and noticed that slowing down was making it worse so I just kept the speed until it calmed down. The big toe above the pedal is key for me and leaning back more when braking reduced brake wobbles for me. Haven’t went above 20 since then a couple of days. Going to definitely practice more of my drills like free mounting, slow riding, riding on diff surfaces like grass to build more muscle memory.
It's strange but I learned to almost eliminate speed wobbles when braking by keeping my back straight and my chest pushed out and my body upright. Breaking while in a seated position with my knees bent actually made wobbles worse. Just sharing, it's interesting how different things work for different people.
Got my wheel too days ago, and today i got my first wobble. Didnt bail or fall. Tomorrow i will do your drills to se how i can improve. Thanks i advance.
@@GoGeorge I went with the RS19 HT, after much deliberation(I'm getting the new production run with speed display etc)! After seeing the other guys here in Colorado ride dirt jumps and trails on the RS it seems like the best offroader for me.
They do that slow speed training in the motorcycle Learner course here in Australia. I find an EUC is a lot like a motorcycle where slow speed control helps you with all speed control.
Thanks man. Imma use ya heal toe technique. These beasts are scary and easy to bail on. If you master the slow techniques it won't be a problem at speed.
Thank you so much for this guide! I just received my Kingsong s18 as an upgrade from my 14d. I tried pushing the speed and immediately encountered the wobbles. Can't wait to try some of the tips so I can go faster.
Goog Job George!!! YES.. this did help and everything you mentioned here does help and I have experienced. I saw a RUclips vid and the guy said when experiencing a wobble... to loosen up your stance and ride it out he says (sorry I cannot mention the video) then a week later I experienced a wobble about 10-15 kmh acceleration.. the wobble started small and like you said.. it just got bigger and bigger and I thought of trying out that video 1st to get a different approach to what I used to do.... BAD idea.. it just got worse and Fell. I am glad I experienced it so from here on.. yes.... Put some time in riding... A little carving... and one foot accelerate.. but the other HARD pressing the brake while controlling the wheel the moment you sense it is wobbling. again Hermano.... gracias for your videos to us newbies
Good video! I have learned that carving / swerving eliminates wobbles and better handling of road imperfections. And if I do wobble, stiffen my dominant leg, press down on pedal, and clamp the wheel between my legs
gonna be getting my first wheel soon. I really think it will be on the easy side for me to transition and pick it up. having a diverse range of acquired sports skills really attribute to mastery. alot of factors you mentioned such as tire air and most helpful, the GAS. I didn't really think of but from all videos I've seen that makes sense why they all move and flow the way they do, its not to just look cool. my only issue is not having the leg muscles lol
I am just getting into EUCs coming from the esk8 community and this is golden advice for just about all PEVs tbh. I've hit speed wobble going 30 down hill on my board but that fight or flight confidence hit and I coasted down
I'm new, and wobble a lot (but I have had pretty weak legs last couple of years, so I sometimes "wobble" skating and skiing as well - I just gotta live with it or start eating and training more). Anyway, the worst wobbles I've encounted is when going steep downhill, feet forward on the plates, and then having to break. A few times I've then noticed I'm so forward on the plates (my normal stance) that I CAN'T break as hard or much as I want to but instead starts to wobble. And THEN in that wobble I feel my feet jumping forward more and more, about to go off the plates if I don't control it. Those times I've saved it by grabbing the handle and leaning hard back to stop the wheel. Gotta get me some pads to keep the feet in place. At least I got new griptape yesterday and that did wonders but it is not enough to keep the feet in place.
Man! This really makes sense. Am almost ready to pull the trigger on buying my first EUC and watch all the content I can find regarding learning to ride, ect
Thank you for your vids as they are very useful. I agree with your take on the value of slow riding techniques. I also like practicing tight circles right and left and keep decreasing the radius of the circle if I can. Ride safe!
I just came in from riding and think i had a realization... center of gravity really matters. placing my foot more back on the pedals of my EXN creates more wobbles much quicker than if i almost hang all of my toes off the front of the pedals. it makes sense, if the weight is behind the wheel it wobbles, just like why you have to lean forward on bikes, longboards, pretty much anything. your want your weight ahead of the wheel... i think this may be single biggest factor honestly... wheels on their own, rolling down a hill dont wobble, they are balanced. you need to be balanced on the center of gravity.
Man I have watched many videos in just one week of lookin into this my first and one thing I like the most was to focus mind on pushin down one foot front and other one on the back heel at same time and I understand this is like retrospective not literally soo much as the situation at hand or foot
I usually get wobbles exactly when I push downwards with ankles when stoppping. My solution to this situation is relax and to brake by using pads as leverage with my calf.
I've now covered 7000km, but just on one device, because there is no one close with a different device. I never had these kind of whobbels, except that one time when my wheel shiftet back and forth because I overpowered it while driving off-road down hill
I know this is a year ago for you, but man no one has explained this as perfectly as you! I’m a new EUC rider, V12, and wobbles were nuts. I now feel my feet and where I’m putting pressure. It’s actually wild how points of pressure are so wildly different and without this video I know I would have struggled. I just wanted to thank you and let you know that I “hit the gas” like I only hoped. Right front and left heal while slightly weighting left and right! Thanks man BTW my v12 couldn’t be more different than my Onewheel. 🙏👍❤️🇨🇦
Good one 👍 So many great tips in this video. I practice slow riding, comes in really handy all the time. Riding fast is pretty easy once you find that perfect footing, riding super slow is harder.
George has a good point about the speed wobble, my tire pressure is 35 PSI, I'm going to boost it up to 40, when I hit small bumps or potholes I'll go off of curbs I do get speed wobbles, my trick to get out of a speed wobble is that I squeeze my legs and try to lean in left or right depending on how the wheel feels, all I got to say is I ride like a nut
Here because the wobbles found me :( I back though! Thanks for the tips. You were spot on. Wobbled first time at 25 and it bucked me off lol. Should have watched this video. I've since throttled my speed back to 15
I have the s22 pro. The off-road tire that thing comes with is such a flat wobble monster. The slightest left right foot shift feels like wobbles are very close.
Thank you for video! Really great tips. Second day on my wheel and every time i go more than 25 km/h it wobbles like grazy. Sometimes when I accelerate and sometimes when I braking. Tried different techniques with my beginner skills but only what works for me was accelerated again and brake again until speed is low. I have only driven 35 km with my euc and legs are weak yet.
I actually fell hard for the first time on my V8F a few hours ago whilst going at about 32Km/h - riding tucked and then attempting to Brake normally… This sent me into a violent speed wobble which I couldn’t recover from! I Luckily I didn’t slide under oncoming traffic. I took a mildly bruised hip, some minor abrasions on my shoulders and ankle and also banged my head on the asphalt which luckily had a helmet on ! Could’ve been a lot worse!!! I’ve had my wheel for about 180Km now and that’s the first time ever that I’ve actually been thrown off! I've been riding up and down steep slopes a over uneven surfaces with zero issues! I’d say be very very careful tucking at high speed on a light 16 inch wheel like mine! I consider myself extremely fortunate!!
The problem with confidence is that it's still limited usually to already experienced situations and sadly the only way to reach certain experiences is pushing the limit. In my opinion it is something you are born with, the confidence or risk of testing our limits. Only after experiencing over powering the wheel several times can one have the correct mentality when suffering one after hitting a pot hole at 60kmh. In other words you have to be a bit crazy and have a strange lack of fear.
I know what you're saying about not bailing, but the only real crash I've had so far is a good counterexample. I ran the battery down too low, and apparently my response to a lot of issues is to accelerate out of it. So I almost lost my balance, tried to accelerate, low battery turned it into a slow-speed overlean, and I ended up on the asphalt. I should have bailed instead! But if you have the battery I usually agree.
I was prepared except for elbow pads, so I just scratched up my elbow. Pretty small potatoes as far as EUC crashes go. Felt embarrassed though since a few people were watching, hahaha
It's funny you mention how your right foot is pushing with your toes. I just started out. I got a ks14s before the bigger v12 comes. I did notice that my left foot stays flat and my right foot is on my toes and kind of pumping the euc forward to accelerate. The bent knees and wider foot stance is what got me to actually start moving. Today is day 4
@Go George Go!! I think I broke my euc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It boots up and self levels but when I mount it the euc doesn't balance and then beeps. I tried horizontal calibration and it worked then I rode around the garage for a minute then turned it off and back on then it did the same thing as before again.
@@jasonram9325 what battery% is it at and are you by chance a large person? If its low battery or your a large guy the machine may not be able to hold you. Its a fairly weak machine
Great vid. I’m going to try the slow speed exercise, that looks solid. So annoying when I see a crash vid of some kid getting wobbles, freaking out and basically giving up and bailing off the EUC at speed. With a cool head and some experience he could have carved out or road out the wobbles without resorting to jumping/stepping off and eating shit.
You are the angel from youtube ! Im just on my 84th Km and this wobbling was disturbing me a lot. Now I got my answer ! Thank you. Also I need to upgrade my wheel. Hope you can help me with that as well.

It's a great video, and the advice is very helpful and excellent, but I spent nearly all of the riding parts of it worrying about your bare arms / elbows in the event of a crash !
I ride very high pressure on V11 45 psi, I'm a heavy guy and I also like the agile feeling it gives. down side to that pressure is between 30-34 mph it will want to wobble at those pressures, I embrace the wobble, trade off leaning wheel against each leg as I carve. Tames them right up. I also took Laws advice, I practice by inducing a wobble from time to time to build up resistance.
George, that’s one thing I notice about EUCs. One you get them going you’re good - but in start and stop traffic, it becomes more unwieldy stopping on a slow, and moving forward from a stop sign.
7k miles so far. Ive gotten through every wobble ive encountered(msx and veteran sherman). Downhill, speeding, high tire pressure. Yes it can be scary but just stay calm and use the tips mentioned in this video youll be fine 😎👍
It's simpler on the EXNs. They get wobbles if you put pressure on the inside of the pedals or if you try to squeeze the wheel with your legs. I started consciously applying pressure with the outsides of my feet and not touching the wheel with my legs. At the highest speeds the wheel is rock solid.
Update on this, still holds true. Also every time I learned how to ride something out, was after I ate it one time first. Lmao. I had to learn to crash before I could learn the limits of my wheel.
When I ride, before I hit the 30sec mark, if the course is clear (no one on my tail), I do a brake test, see If it wobbles. If it does, I reposition my footing and then try again. I want to find it if I'll wobble before I actually need to brake
Another very informative and well-presented video. Thank you, George. Q: Are your googles integral to your helmet or a separable item? If separable, might you please tell us how well you like them, and their make and model? Thx.
Man I always knew the trees were actually trying to kill us all along! 🤧 Thanks for the encouragement about wobbles and doing more things that are uncomfortable. Gonna try out some more of those drills. Free time is in such short supply lately though.
Yes some practice drills in controlled environments go a long way to improving both your skills and your confidence!! And that tree definitely tried to launch an attack that was not cool 😂
I'm practicing riding my MCM5v2 460WH and I agree with you. When my legs seems to really be exhausted, the wobles get a bit worse, though I always manage to control it by increasing a bit of speed. As of now, I'm practicing mounting the EUC. I can do it like around 60-70% of the time. Heheh
Nice! Keep practicing that for sure, one of the most important skills. I did a video on mounting already that may be worth a watch if you havnt already 👍
Lol, a few weeks into my riding, I bought some bananas, and a couple other things. I was holding maybe 2kg on the left hand.. I switched to the right hand and I wobbled for like 5sec lol.. Funny how a weight shift messes me up as I'm new
Awesome video thanks. I will try these suggestions. The wobbles are scary as heck at 10-12 mph. I can't imagine them at 20mp+! The wobbles are making me want to just sell my wheel.
I get them at 16-17mph occasionally (I don't ride any faster yet), and I just relax and slow down a bit. Trying to fight the wobbles will make them worse, because your muscles shake as they're pushed past their strength limit. This is part of why stronger legs get wobbles less, because if your muscles are stronger then they can contract more smoothly. Relaxing does the same thing. Just take a deep breath, loosen up your legs, and ease yourself back a little.
So this is really the true reason people say "you should get a smaller and less powerful wheel as your first one". Because truly, if my first wheel would've been 18 inches and like 30 kg, I'd probably never gotten good at it.
Started on an 18XL. Considered giving up after a week and almost no progress, because it was *so* exhausting to learn. I don't ride often, but I did recently tip my first 100 miles, and I'm glad I stuck with it.
What about jumping and forcing the wheel down to the pavement to stop wobbling would that not be the fastest way rather than try to correct the movement with hips and legs

This is offcourse a big topic for bicycles. You can find a lot of good information and videos regarding the event and how stiffness of frame / cyclist affects it.
Definitely knowing they exist is the first and most important thingnfor new riders 👍 great info thanks!!
You are talking about the exact same thing as motorcycle "tank slapper". You can't fight it. Reduce speed and let it to balance it back. Most of the time its because of the hard braking or hard accelerating. (accelerating makes the front wheel of the ground and transfers weight almost %100 to back wheel that makes wobble easier which is not apply to EUC)
just starting to learn...love your commentary and content...keep it up!

Hi George, all very useful tips. I've never seen trees excrete pollen like that, that was crazy.
absolutely DUMPED on me lol
@@GoGeorge LOL
Thanks for your help, today I started having bobbles and I taught something was wrong with my wheel. Thanks for the video.
I did have more early on and found part of it was that my feet were too far back on the pedals
.. moving forward so only my toes are off and heel completely on helped eliminate that completely. Lastly like you say... riding it out seems to be everything, if I feel wobbling starting and lean back it always gets a worse, a bit more acceleration cures it every time. Also 100 percent agree on mental preparedness/not panicking.
🤘
Thanks very good information. Helped a lot
Got my wheel too days ago, and today i got my first wobble. Didnt bail or fall. Tomorrow i will do your drills to se how i can improve. Thanks i advance.
glad you found it and could help 👍
Thank you so much for sharing!!!!!!!!!!!

Outstanding! Thank you sir.
Thanks George! Just ordered my first euc, can't wait!!
Siiick 🤘 what did you get?
@@GoGeorge I went with the RS19 HT, after much deliberation(I'm getting the new production run with speed display etc)! After seeing the other guys here in Colorado ride dirt jumps and trails on the RS it seems like the best offroader for me.
@@mwhenry00 nice hell yeah the RS is definitely one of the best wheels you can get good choice 👍
Thanks, great information just about to buy my first wheel the v11
Great video, I learned these slow skills while taking the kids out on their bikes. Definitely helped
Thanks George, I'll try 🙌
😃👍
Thank you so much for this guide! I just received my Kingsong s18 as an upgrade from my 14d. I tried pushing the speed and immediately encountered the wobbles. Can't wait to try some of the tips so I can go faster.
You got this! 👍
Thanks George to share your knowledge…! Very useful!!!!
Anytime! Hope it helps!
🤘
Damm it's really like skiing carving for safe speed
gonna be getting my first wheel soon.
I've hit speed wobble going 30 down hill on my board but that fight or flight confidence hit and I coasted down
👍

Excellent information!! Thanks

I think I should let a bit of air out of my tire. I'm only 60 kg and have the 16 inch tire on I believe 32 psi, which I think is pretty high.
Man! This really makes sense. Am almost ready to pull the trigger on buying my first EUC and watch all the content I can find regarding learning to ride, ect
Nice! You wont regret it 😋
Thank you for your vids as they are very useful. I agree with your take on the value of slow riding techniques. I also like practicing tight circles right and left and keep decreasing the radius of the circle if I can. Ride safe!
🤘
You present the best content .. Thanks .. so very helpful
Thanks 😀 glad it helps!
Standing up straight , very small, subtle twists and you'll be able to go very slow . I perfected it in no time
Great video! Thanks!
🍻
best summary I've seen in a while!
Thanks for watching 🤙
Wish I would’ve watched this video before my accident. Thanks George!!🙏
Ouch 😬 hope your okay
Damn your videos are extremely easy to watch love the content thank you
I've now covered 7000km, but just on one device, because there is no one close with a different device. I never had these kind of whobbels, except that one time when my wheel shiftet back and forth because I overpowered it while driving off-road down hill
awesome 👍 i hope no one ever gets the wobbles they can really shake your confidence quickly
@@GoGeorge Wobbles are exciting, he's missing out! I don't figure I'm pushing hard enough if I dont entice a little wobble now and then.
So glad it helped 😄
Good one 👍 So many great tips in this video. I practice slow riding, comes in really handy all the time. Riding fast is pretty easy once you find that perfect footing, riding super slow is harder.
Totally agree, the slow speed stuff is so valuable for safety!
Nice tip 👍
Yup, you will get stronger and before long they will be gone 👍
I actually fell hard for the first time on my V8F a few hours ago whilst going at about 32Km/h - riding tucked and then attempting to Brake normally…
This sent me into a violent speed wobble which I couldn’t recover from!
🤣
Let's ride
So much info
Head exploding.
Confidence are a go.
🤯🚀🚀🚀🚀
I know what you're saying about not bailing, but the only real crash I've had so far is a good counterexample. I ran the battery down too low, and apparently my response to a lot of issues is to accelerate out of it. So I almost lost my balance, tried to accelerate, low battery turned it into a slow-speed overlean, and I ended up on the asphalt. I should have bailed instead!
But if you have the battery I usually agree.
lol yeah that's a unique situation for sure. hope you didnt get hurt 😬
I was prepared except for elbow pads, so I just scratched up my elbow. Pretty small potatoes as far as EUC crashes go. Felt embarrassed though since a few people were watching, hahaha
@@SkeptikosUTube lol of course 🤣 always when people are looking
I love my wobbles. :D
weebles wobble but they dont fall down 😋
It's funny you mention how your right foot is pushing with your toes. I just started out. I got a ks14s before the bigger v12 comes. I did notice that my left foot stays flat and my right foot is on my toes and kind of pumping the euc forward to accelerate. The bent knees and wider foot stance is what got me to actually start moving. Today is day 4
Niiice 👍
@Go George Go!! I think I broke my euc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It boots up and self levels but when I mount it the euc doesn't balance and then beeps. I tried horizontal calibration and it worked then I rode around the garage for a minute then turned it off and back on then it did the same thing as before again.
@@jasonram9325 could be an issue with the hall sensors or maybe a control board issue. What model is it?
@Go George Go!! the kingsong ks14s I just got it last week so it should be the latest version.
@@jasonram9325 what battery% is it at and are you by chance a large person? If its low battery or your a large guy the machine may not be able to hold you. Its a fairly weak machine
Been riding 2 years just caught a 20 mph wobble trying to brake standing end up slowing and bailing in the grass and messed my foot up but we heal
Great vid. I’m going to try the slow speed exercise, that looks solid. So annoying when I see a crash vid of some kid getting wobbles, freaking out and basically giving up and bailing off the EUC at speed. With a cool head and some experience he could have carved out or road out the wobbles without resorting to jumping/stepping off and eating shit.
yeah the key is to not panic for sure, and to have muscle.memory good enough to get you out of it before you even realize whats happening
You are the angel from youtube ! Im just on my 84th Km and this wobbling was disturbing me a lot. Now I got my answer !
Thank you.
Also I need to upgrade my wheel. Hope you can help me with that as well.
Glad it helps!! What are your priorities for an upgrade?
@@GoGeorge range, suspension, and town running. Since im not an advance rider, off roading is out ! So, Im thinking of inmortion V11 over kingsong S18.
Thank you for the prompt reply Sir !
@@rameshsilva6110 v11 all day imo. Fantastic wheel. Of the 3 suspension models available its the best all around for sure. Im sure we will see some new ones this winter but its not worth waiting, they will get announced in fall and released 6 months later and then take 6 months to work out the kinks. By the time they are ready you will already have 3000 miles on the v11 lol
@@GoGeorge thank you for the reply. I wanna get one but Im living far far away land from where youl live. If you can advice/direct me to get one, I appreciate it a lot.
@@rameshsilva6110 depends what country your in but you may have a dealer that will ship to.your country. Or you can potentially use alibaba express for a direct shipment from china
It's a great video, and the advice is very helpful and excellent, but I spent nearly all of the riding parts of it worrying about your bare arms / elbows in the event of a crash !
I'm stupid I preordered a inmotion v13. I have a motorcycle helmet. But definately going to be practicing in the park.
🤣
Good luck with that being your first wheel. Alot of money to drop 50 times lol
Yeah thats pretty darn high i ride at about 36 psi on the v11
@@GoGeorge for sure! at 245 lbs I want to do stairs and small drops. Need to protect that rim!
@@richsam287 yeah you got 50 lbs on me so totally makes sense 👍
I'm light, ride my V12 HT @ 20 psi.
George, that’s one thing I notice about EUCs. One you get them going you’re good - but in start and stop traffic, it becomes more unwieldy stopping on a slow, and moving forward from a stop sign.
Mounting and dismounting is definitely a skill to be practiced. Learning to glide on one leg will greatly improve your ability and confidence
I just got me a monster v3 I’ve only hit 25 so far. But I plan to spend time in my lot getting used to moving around this weight at slow speed
Love the v3, great wheel 👍
Great info for me, thankyou. Could you link your gloves that you use in this video?
They where just some generic ones that came from ewheels.com with the v8 i got years ago. Can find them on amaxon cheap
Thanks for showing the pollen
7k miles so far. Ive gotten through every wobble ive encountered(msx and veteran sherman). Downhill, speeding, high tire pressure. Yes it can be scary but just stay calm and use the tips mentioned in this video youll be fine 😎👍
😀👍
Thanks for tips 👍
😀👍
It's simpler on the EXNs. They get wobbles if you put pressure on the inside of the pedals or if you try to squeeze the wheel with your legs. I started consciously applying pressure with the outsides of my feet and not touching the wheel with my legs. At the highest speeds the wheel is rock solid.
Update on this, still holds true. Also every time I learned how to ride something out, was after I ate it one time first. Lmao. I had to learn to crash before I could learn the limits of my wheel.
Good video with good info, has worked for me indeed...
Awesome 👍
When I ride, before I hit the 30sec mark, if the course is clear (no one on my tail), I do a brake test, see If it wobbles. If it does, I reposition my footing and then try again. I want to find it if I'll wobble before I actually need to brake
nice idea!
Another very informative and well-presented video. Thank you, George.
Q: Are your googles integral to your helmet or a separable item? If separable, might you please tell us how well you like them, and their make and model? Thx.
they were just cheap snowboarding goggles. I liked them when I used that helm
Good vid man, what are those wrist guards?
Hillbilly wrost guards
Man I always knew the trees were actually trying to kill us all along! 🤧
Thanks for the encouragement about wobbles and doing more things that are uncomfortable. Gonna try out some more of those drills. Free time is in such short supply lately though.
Yes some practice drills in controlled environments go a long way to improving both your skills and your confidence!! And that tree definitely tried to launch an attack that was not cool 😂
Now I got to learn how to carve. I don’t know how to do that?
Funny how a weight shift messes me up as I'm new
even when experienced a hard weight shift can really throw you off for a second.
Good info
Would you advise anyone who is size 13+ to go with the larger pedals my toes dont even touch the pedals probably adding to my wobble
Awesome video thanks. I will try these suggestions. The wobbles are scary as heck at 10-12 mph. I can't imagine them at 20mp+! The wobbles are making me want to just sell my wheel.
You will conquer it! Like i said think about pushing the wheel through the ground, add a little carve, and let some pressure out 👍 i beliiieeevvveee 😋
Keep riding this will go over and dont forget to carv baby :)
2:05 Hahahah I would have a sneeze fit
I get the wobbles when I brake to hard on my sherman
So this is really the true reason people say "you should get a smaller and less powerful wheel as your first one".
Because truly, if my first wheel would've been 18 inches and like 30 kg, I'd probably never gotten good at it.
Certainly one reason 👍
Started on an 18XL. Considered giving up after a week and almost no progress, because it was *so* exhausting to learn. I don't ride often, but I did recently tip my first 100 miles, and I'm glad I stuck with it.
At first it with wobble hard braking, does the same wobble at high speeds regularly but uh 100km experience. I'll get better and better at it.
Yessir 👍
How fast are you going near the end there (13 minutes in)? You're covering serious ground. 😯
I would say 30ish maybe 35
What about jumping and forcing the wheel down to the pavement to stop wobbling would that not be the fastest way rather than try to correct the movement with hips and legs
