EUCs are turned by twisting and|or tilting them. Method #1 requires the EUC to be tilted inwards while rotating shoulders, otherwise rotating the shoulders will result in method #4's counter rotation. Method #6, on EUCs with big gyro effect, more accurately described as angular momentum, the EUC resists being tilted due to that angular momentum, and requires applying inwards pressure on the outside upper pad which will coexist with putting outwards (sideways) force on the outside pedal, which is why spiked pedals should be used, to prevent from slipping off the outside pedal. At these speeds, a rider leans much more than the EUC is tilted, so the rider hangs off as seen in this video, which makes it easier to apply that inwards pressure on the outside upper pad. Twisting an EUC to steer is mostly done at low speeds. For tilting an EUC to turn, I think of 3 basics methods, #1 pedals only with no pressure on the upper pads, #2 pressure on both inside and outside upper pads, #3 pressure only on outside upper pad.
That is very informative and deeper explanation of technic . Everyone do this by filling , because there is no any school of advansed riding , like in any sport as skis etc
I’m here for this type of stuff. I’ve never looked at another tutorial I just bought one and learned to ride.. now I want to fine tune. This helps a lot. Keep it coming.
Excellent. You also included that some techniques are speed dependent. Most tutorial videos omit that part. At higher speeds, turning techniques will change due to gyro effectiveness. Took me a few months to figure that out.
Great explanation.I am just just just starting leart to ride my EUC a I am mixig some styles you've described together. I seems to me useful to learn them separately to get better at those skills. Thank you for great explanation!
Love it, I like the standing posture examples given in the park. You found what I needed to comprehend turns and carving. Dude... can't way to go try this out. You're officially in my book marks!
Kinda like turning while wheelieing a bike, you pivot your lower body while dragging your upper body with you at slow speed, or on a bike pivoting your shoulders
#6 is similar to how motorcyclists hang off a turn. Open up the hips and legs, stick the knee out, keep the center of gravity low and inside the corner or turn. There is one more way to turn and that is the stop and twisting of the tire in place to face the new direction.
ok when carving, place weight on outside foot befiore initiating turn. move your body weight inside the radius of the corner, leaning your outside knee against the wheel. This allows the wheel to stay more vertical at high speeds and reduce wobbles. Similar to your technique where you describe but placing importance of weight on outside foot during the turn. The gyro will keep the wheel vertical even on smaller 16" wheels.
Great tips. I find myself riding with a combination of all these methods depending on the speed I am riding. All super fun. The most fun method is the last one, but also the most tiring imo

Great, great Video - i learned a lot from this video. One question please - if you ride a bit faster into a 90 degree curve - how do you position your feet ? Or which methode do you use ? Thanks....
Thank you ! At medium and high speeds I use carving . Next week I will make new video about carving and speed depending turning . But I want to mention , that lighter wheels or wheels with tire that have less gyro effect you have to use less preassure to turn and carving in that form I use can be impossible . Technic is very wheel\tire depending and you have to find perfect style for you and your EUC
@@adrenalineaddicted2551 cool, I am from Kyiv too) one question, which teqnique would you use for to turn around in very small space? I have v14 and sometimes it is not so easy
This is the most comprehensive, visual, concise and exhaustive tutorial I’ve seen on the subject.
Great job 👌
As a new rider these simple break downs are very helpful. Thank for sharing

Even though I do all these styles it’s actually awesome to see it broken down as we tend to do it automatically. Cool vid bro!
Коротко, понятно, качественно и смотреть соответственно очень приятно. Прям учебник по колесу. Моё почтение 👍.За музычку отдельный респект.

Interest. I started with method 4 as I have a background in acoustic unicycle riding. I've had to learn the other methods
