Carson Axtell Thanks for the great suggestions Carson. I eventually did replace the foot, pretty much exactly the way you outline. I think the idea you have about putting the holes in the box edge is fantastic. My palette is just about shot so I think I'll be building a replacement soon anyway. Appreciate you checking out the video. By sure to drop me a link if you ever make a video of your custom box. All the best - Marty

Thanks for the review. As far as the rubber foot, drill out the rivet or file off the sharp end sticking out. Re-attach the foot with plumbers epoxy, its a two part epoxy from home depot and its STRONG stuff should hold the rubber pad on the wood.

That's a great tip inboundnewt. I'm going to give that a try and I'll include that in my next update. Thanks a lot.

You could take a wax crayon or candle to lubricate the area the panel adapters go to make it easier move.

Can you use 11 x 14 canvas boards? I love this pochade box because you can carry the tubes of paint with it. The other types boxes do not include room for paints.

Faith Myers Thanks for the great question. Absolutely you can use 11 x 14 and even larger. The box comes with a bungee cord that has two clips on either end. You wrap the bungee around the back of the box, attach the two clip ends to the edge of the canvas board and BINGO, you can now use larger sized canvas boards with this box. Just a heads up though that you'll have to carry the wet/finished painting attached the outside of box with the bungee, because it obviously won't fit inside the box. It really is an excellent box and you should be able to enjoy it for years and years to come.

Joshua Gomes Hi, thanks for the question. Yes I use Mabef. And have had good luck, although I prefer the quicker set up time with the Guerrilla box. Here's a link to the Mabef box I've used in the past. www.dickblick.com/products/mabef-sketchbox-easel-m-22/

Ha! That's because it is an old home movie. I was filming with a very old point and shoot from the mid-teens. :-)
