Voltage | Wouldn’t be bad at all, honestly. Unlike the Sinanju, the Hyaku Shiki wouldn’t be adding an extreme amount of weight on the premold frame and would take advantage of solid nature of the RG MK II, one of the best in line’s early days. Though, considering how things are nowadays, it might end up being the mini-MG that most are now.
Not sure if somebody has mentioned this before but on each of the shoulder of the mobile suit is the kanji character symbol (or Han Chinese character if you want to be accurate) for "100". Two shoulders each with a "100" symbol, and you get a total of 200! That's why Bandai made this their number 200 HGUC kit.
I love the Zeta design so I'm hoping for a Revive version. I oddly like the gold color on this(I heard before that it was a weird mustard yellow) it looks comical, almost exaggerated. The Hyaku-Shiki was a mobile suit that I used to not care about whatsoever but I now I love.
I must disagree with the coloration. I pulled up an image of the line art for the Hyaku Shiki and the HG is much closer to the shade. The MG is this super-pale shiny straw color, while the line art is almost yellow-orange.
i think it's almost imposibble. since revive ver. purpose is to remake an old kit with better articulation & quality. Guntank is not have so many articulation, but it's gonna be cool if bandai think about it
I think it would be cool to have an updated Guntank, using similar technology to the Early Type Origin kit. Add some cool articulation, nicer proportions, etc.
The grphios war set comes with armor plated/painted like the mg 2.0 hyaku shiki. I don't know if the armor pieces are compatible, but that may be a way of getting a revive hyaku shiki with that finish.
I like it!! The "revive" revision works for the Type 100. I didn't care for the RX-78 or the MK.II revive, but this works. Still, I would have preferred a plated version so I'll wait for a P-Bandai or Expo kit if and when it gets announced.
I bought this kit today, but I accidentally cut off the peg on the beam sabre handle that connects it to the muzzle that emits the blade. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Will super-glue work?
A Revive Hi-Zack could be pretty neat, though I don't think there's much demand for one. Zeta had a bunch of transformable suits, so I'm interested to see if they revive any of those, though a lot of the EFSF/Titans ones still seem pretty good. Revive Zeta seems the safest bet. Not so much a Revive, but I'd love to see a Galbaldy beta someday in hguc.
If the next revive is from Zeta, then it kinda has to be the Zeta Gundam. I'm thinking they'll depart from Zeta for a couple kits (Alex needs a 2.0 in both HG and MG please Bandai), then come back to do the Zeta Gundam sometime in the middle of next year.
one thing you have to work on hg kits is the grey color under armor parts. the price on both are higher than what they offer. i think bandai rise the price for its special finish color. if you think zeong is price wise, then this hyakushiki is worth for your collection too!
you could have always put the eye sticker behind the clear part. also I wanted your input, I'm gonna get this kit eventually and I wanted to know which color I should panel line it with. black or grey?
So you think they should have gone with actual chrome plating or just a vibrant yellow for the gold pieces? Lol nvm you said in review. But I do remember seeing they made it just the plastic gold to make it easier to paint so you dont have to strip off the gold chrome. As for the clay bazooka, the Zeta II has the same mold for the bazookas, just in a lighter color, and it includes two.
If you think about it, this Gunpla is an ironic reversal to the 1999 kit: The old one is first released as chromed, while the one that comes with the Launcher is not chromed This kit is released without chrome, while the one from TGB is chromed.
Hi zach ,im kinda new in this hobby ,i am more of of an hguc fan,how can I distinguish if the kit is a revive version? Currently i own the 0 ,jagd doga ,barzam, bawoo ,gabthley. Im not sure if they are the revive ver.tnx
the old hyaku shiki + mega launcher set could be a good option to get the launcher. it'll probably fit without any real issues. I already have the launcher and the plated hyaku shiki but I might buy this because of the articulation and the overall look... I want to see a revive zeong...
Hey Zaku! Is there any way that I can get replacement parts outside of Japan? I'm working on my third gunpla and lost a part! (the transparent blue headpiece on the transient gundam). Been watching for a little over a month now and really enjoy the vids!
Hey Zach. Cool vid. Been watching your vids for a while now. Good review. Quick question, do you think the mega ride launcher will work with this and/or the Lunagazer? Thanks.
Undergated nubs are basically set underneath the edge of the parts, instead of having them sprout directly perpendicular to the part. For parts like plated outer armor, this is advantageous because it reduces the chance of you nicking the plating in obvious places while separating the parts from the runners. Undergating hides any undesired nicking or nub marks underneath the edges. It also works out well for very tiny or thin parts.
Let me see if I understand this right. It's bad to paint parts while on the runner because of the nub marks it leaves? Or is it more than that? I've done very little in terms of painting kits but I'd love to learn some more tips from anyone.
Could you do a review of the Scramble gundam and Shia Quanta when they come out because seeing scramble gundam pretty much says that there will be a revive Zeta lol.
Honestly I love the 00 Qan[T] it's sturdy (side skirts do fall quite often) and extremely playable but I'm kinda a 00 Fan. Depends it's all up to you! (^.^)
or even a revive The-o,nah who am i kidding The-o already got the kit from in all grade .Also zeta series really get some love from the revive hyaku shiki and the RE-Bawoo , wonder if bandai want to release something like bolinoak samahn, hamma hamma, ashimar or any not so popular MS from zeta.
I'd much rather this be unplated. For the price difference i can get a pot of gold paint and do it myself. They even have paint now that mimicks vaccume chrome plating. Do you think they will do a rg soon? I'm thinking of redoing this or the mega shiki with parts from the old hguc as a rg style. I want a two tone gold, both vaccume style and then the standard paint style.
this kit definitely cool. however, it would be better if its gold parts were the same as the version of hiyaku shiki in the hguc grypios war kit. i hope bandai make a version for that kit.
I would kinda dig if the methuss was next. I love it's ghetto design. I hope the zeta isn't next I was just gifted the older zeta hg haha. Meh I guess I could leave one in the wave rider mode.

I agree that they should've plated it with a minor price hike. The original one was beautiful. Anyways the only other Zeta kit (aside from the Zeta) that really needs a Revive is The O.
I think the Hyaku Shiki deserves an RG.
@@voltage9506 yup
Yes, definitely, absolutely

Wowowowowowowowow
Got em
Gold in Chinese mean more good luck, right
You're probably over analysing it...
I REALLY wish they'd make either a Gelgoog or a Dom in the revive line.
I think the color on this Revive version is definitely closer to the one in the anime. The master grade's gold color is just too dull.
Plus the gold plated paint looks bad when clipped
I own the gold plated hg from back in the day, kinda wild back in the day they put product over cost and did neat things for regular releases
I want to see a real grade version of this. that would go nicely with the rg MK II.
Chaaning Ly and the Zeta.
@@junghohyun6151 we don't speak of the rg zeta
It’s pretty solid for those who pose their figures a lot, it’s durability is awesome
This is one of my favorite high grades, does what it's supposed to do, solid, fun, clean articulation, cheap, looks good for what it is
Exactly! A great HG
i think this gold plastic is better looking than gold chrome, i really like this kit
+Kant Huynh Still, You can just paint the fucking Shiki. Either Hyaku or Byaku Shiki (GPB G)
Glad to hear that it's not too back heavy. I can see that it can stand on its own without an Action Base.
Maybe a Hi-Zack revive?
I dig it. This sort of look at the least means less issues with dust and smudges, etc, compared to mirror coating
I must disagree with the coloration. I pulled up an image of the line art for the Hyaku Shiki and the HG is much closer to the shade. The MG is this super-pale shiny straw color, while the line art is almost yellow-orange.

You've got a badass RG now.
Very nice proportions on this kit! I'll be waiting a bit to see when/if a plated version comes out.
I actually built this recently and was my first painted kit too. It looks way better than the default color.
I personally like the gold ita molded into since it looks true to the anime, in the anime it was a not so good looking gold color.
honestly, i'm still waiting for a Guntank Revive version... nice vid anyway...
exactly, with the newer Guntank Origin molds, we should really get a Guntank Revive !
i want my White Base Revive trio to be complete... hehehe

do the treads on the old HG Guntank work like the MG version? it would be nice if this can be done if Bandai does the Guntank Revive....
The grphios war set comes with armor plated/painted like the mg 2.0 hyaku shiki. I don't know if the armor pieces are compatible, but that may be a way of getting a revive hyaku shiki with that finish.

I really hope they make a ZZ Revive after the Zeta. I love that clunky bastard.
Kou Uraki ZZ doesnt need a revive its a fine kit
Just because char is the pilot, I'm going to paint this suit in his traditional colors. Screw the bad gold plastic.
Another really good Revive kit. Man, my wallet can't go on like this lol
Thanks for the review!
I bought this kit today, but I accidentally cut off the peg on the beam sabre handle that connects it to the muzzle that emits the blade. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Will super-glue work?
if the cut piece isn't looking bad you can always glue back and sand it
A Revive Hi-Zack could be pretty neat, though I don't think there's much demand for one. Zeta had a bunch of transformable suits, so I'm interested to see if they revive any of those, though a lot of the EFSF/Titans ones still seem pretty good. Revive Zeta seems the safest bet.

Really thought the new RE/100 was possibly gonna be a Galbaldy when we first saw the shadow box.
there's a new hobby hi Zack kit that's coming out
I would buy a revive Hizack in 2 seconds, also Galbaldy Beta got a release
I would love a Revive version of the Palace Athene from Zeta.

you could have always put the eye sticker behind the clear part. also I wanted your input, I'm gonna get this kit eventually and I wanted to know which color I should panel line it with. black or grey?
I'd go black. Grey would probably get lost in the gold. Black contrasts grey really nicely
ZakuAurelius
thanks, I'll just have to make sure the lines aren't too thick.
Hey Zack,do you have any ideas to paint the clear part for the eyes in black ?
I'm hoping for a Marine Hizack revive.
Probably not gonna happen.
revive hi-zack would be cool need a bad guy revive too other than the qubeley

You'd lose some of the shine of the gold of course. But if you're painting (which you should) then go for it!

I would not advise that
What is that weird circles on the wings in 6:47?

I might get this kit to pair it with my second kit: the HGUC Zeta Gundam (Gunpla Evolution Project)

Well the sheer appearance of this gunpla defeats the minor gold imperfections
Hey Zach. Cool vid. Been watching your vids for a while now. Good review. Quick question, do you think the mega ride launcher will work with this and/or the Lunagazer? Thanks.
The ZII has the same type of bazooka as the hyaku shiki and I'm sure you've reviewed that kit.

Hi Zack ! Quick question. If you were to paint this kit, what primer colour and gold would you use ?
Primer grey, then gloss black, then probably Star Bright Brass. I like that color.

what is under gating? around 3:00 mark
Art CMBDIA where the gate is placed under the part to hide the nub marks
thanks a bunch. they should do that to all kits.

What does undergated mean?
Undergrating is just the nub being placed under the parts where it is least visible and will affect the appearance of the parts the least.
+Michael Tran okay I see. Thanks for the info.
Undergated nubs are basically set underneath the edge of the parts, instead of having them sprout directly perpendicular to the part. Undergating hides any undesired nicking or nub marks underneath the edges. It also works out well for very tiny or thin parts.

I think the Hyaku Shiki would be the better candidate for the next RG. Best if it is the same gold as the MG 2.0.
I’m surprised there isn’t a rg version of this kit
Just stopping by to leave a like👍

I was very surprised Zeta Gundam wasn't the HGUC 200. Makes me think that if we don't get it soon, it might be in trouble.
Yeah, that would have made more sense with it being a main protagonist and one of the most famous Gundam designs.

There's no way to stick it there. There is another plain mirror sticker that goes behind the clear part.
