Dollar tree account, and that looks like overnight shift.
I just retired after 30 years in trucking. I went back to be a diesel mechanic a few months ago, 9-5 m-f, weekends off, home every day, paid holidays off, making more than I ever did in trucking.
I’ve had my share of overnights in trucking. Worked a lot of holidays, missed a lot of family events, even got divorced because of me working so much. I remarried though, I’m happy now.
Your young kid, don’t let swifty run you into the ground, because they will. Don’t miss out on life because of working too much and being gone all the time. That’s what trucking will do to you. Try and have a life too.
And a plan outside of trucking just in case. I respect you for what you do. I had the same mindset when I was younger but it’s like one day I was 22 yo and then I was 54 and retiring. Don’t let life slip by you.
