My trainer lived in Oregon. He was dedicated reefer and all we ran was I-5. Only stopped at a truck stop once and that was the first week. There’s like 5 terminals between Washington and Cali that if we wasn’t at his house like every other day we were at a terminal to shutdown when we teamed. I hated grants pass. He would joke and say he can run it way faster than I would. Great experience for me, since I’ve never been out west until then. Sometimes we would run them backroads of Oregon. Great views!

I was out for five days (then home time) another five days (then home time) and then almost two weeks straight before upgrading. All depends on loads that the planner gives you guys. Some trainees get home every week.

Everyone makes money except you. When you actually make the math, you're actually earning between $11-16/hr. during training but like most starters they don't expect you to know numbers lol. This not including the time you sleep in the cab ofcourse, otherwise it would be lower😂
