she truly put her blood, sweat, and tears into winning the competition
Aw, she’s so passionate.
Dear Joffles: More tears -- in that this limits her situation in the real world: far from healthy even during the COVID days.
A heavy piano is not a personal instrument like a guitar or a flute: dangerous.
@@eddyvideostar i have never read a more confusing comment
@@joffles6516: Why does my comment confuse you?
“I gave my blood, sweat, and tears for this”
Hearing this, as a piano player, I cannot imagine how slippery the keys got 😭 the fact she could still play it’s incredible
First thing I thought, I play piano as well
Not to be morbid but if the blood dries a bit then it may give a better grip. I’d choose playing on Ivory any day, obviously.
Yeah like, as a piano player, I cant play when the keys are too light, I could never if its wet
She seems like the kind of person who would play toreador March while dying to an animatronic
Not like you, respect her
@@0lycm_ what

*OMG, WHY FREDDY, WHYYYYYYYYYY*
The blood isn’t because the piece is so hard. The pianist who was representing Japan has a condition where if she presses too hard on it, it bleeds. She has been playing since she was four and it’s normal for her. She doesn’t even say that it hurts.
Yes we watched the video too
@@SmashPhoenixX lmao
But she needs to clean it up or something cos that's nasty
What is the name of the condition?
@@kudzem Bartokitis
You could say she poured her heart and soul into that piece
We could also agree that she played the keys bloody well
Her blood sweat and tears if you will
@@username2872 yes!
It’s important to be concerned for her health, yes, but that’s also a general safety hazard for anyone else who has to use that piano. Blood is a biohazard, plain and simple. That needs to be properly sanitized and let to fully dry before the next person can play, which is probably a pain
true :(
She just needs some liquid bandage - I used it when doing Prokofiev's 2nd Piano Concerto because I had cuts on my hands from rehearsing it so much. These pieces are brutal fingerbusters. Rui has my respect. :)
THIS IS ALL NEWS TO ME. I DONT THINK I PLAY THE PIANO FOR LONG ENOUGH TO CAUSE BLOOD ON MY FINGERS. I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THIS BEFORE. I WAS ACTUALLY LOOKING UP HOW DO PIANISTS CUT THEIR WEBBINGS LIKE FRANZ LISZT DID. PERHAPS ITS JUST A SAYING, NOT SURE.
that makes me wanna learn piano even more for some reason
This is a really good allegory for the pressure competitive pianists put on themselves
Bloody keys photo taken by a person named Chris Slaughter. Ironic
Well she would of been screwed if she had to play Chopin's Ocean Etude
Or worse, Liszt Mazeppa..
You know what's even a worse? A seven ocatve chromatic scale
@@charlesfernandez201 nah you wouldn't need pinky for chromatics
Ahhh.....ik nothing bout piano but here we are..........continue
@@phoenixqueen6170 why do you have to sound so cute lol
Anyone who sheds blood for their passion and fights through it is a true winner
If she knew she had a condition that might cause this, she should have informed the venue.
If u had a condition that would potentially stop you from playing piano in a massive venue
@@Johnnyarsecraack If I had a condition that would likely cause me to bleed on an extremely valuable instrument I do not own - an instrument other players will use, I would let the venue know, yes. Given some of the comments here, other pianists have experienced this, so a piano competition would likely be sympathetic and have a contingency plan. Such a plan could well be to let me bleed on the instrument. The point is be courteous and let the venue know.
@@cmw12 yea I understand that I meant more she wouldn’t want to ruin here chances but I do understand what you mean
@@cmw12 shut up
When blood is between the keys I guess it will stay there, maybe irreparable on the wood
thats a good album cover
She must of been Insanely passionate but the poor piano must have blood between the keys
These videos are so entertaining they make my day 💕
I’ve played for long periods of time and have gotten so into the music that I’ve bled before.
Damn. They really sent Chris Slaughter to take the pics too...
The person after her: -_-
I hope they cleaned it
They mentioned a 20 minute intermission for the piano tech to clean it
Silent hill anyone?
Also, Rui is legendary.
That damn pinky.
Silent hill?
Silent Hill fan here too, I still have no clue what you mean

Of course, it's not actually hurting that much.
I searched it up after RUclips shorts

BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS comes to mind and through it all her love of playing the instrument she loves doesn’t matter it’s the sound that matters most of all, LOVE!
Literally what Schiff said about playing Bartok’s music (Second Concerto in his case): you left with a keyboard covered in blood after practicing it. 🥺
*bartok
@@hadin2993 thx, just changed it😉
next thing ima read is death by piano
blood on the piano keys sounds like the name of a song
It is! A videogame song
idc that's dedication to the craft... I respect it.
This is every pianist’s nightmare. I’m sorry for what she had to go through.
Edit: this was before i read the whole caption and watched the entire video. Please ignore this comment.
I dont think so
Ikr forget messing up the piece hands bleeding is way worse and very common while playing piano
@@ario9907 bleeding is not common, there is something wrong with your hands if that is happening to you.
I personally think arthritis is one of a pianists worst nightmares.
@@ario9907 VERY COMMON??💀
you could say that she put her blood sweat and tears into that piece
that’s badass, actually
As a half Asian, ik how hard kids can get into their practicings on instruments as I’ve been in 2 of them lol but never heard of someone bleeding from a piano but on violins, because I’ve bleed through one
why tf did i get this recommended 7 years later...
true pianist puts her blood, sweat and tears
I am Here because of TwoSetViolin
Which video was that again?
I find passion for something someone loves great, but that's an incredibly expensive piano....... 😱😱😱😱
Rush E would turn into a bloodbath
the inflection really cracks me up....
I’m a pianist and I can confirm that it doesn’t hurt.
But pressing a note that stays down when you let go does.
@@PinkPanther4958the school piano experience
@@PinkPanther4958 I don’t think I’ve played a piano like that
@@BrinaSun You tend to find them in schools and public spaces. It has even happened to my baldwin piano. I struck A2 during a performance and the key never returned back to playing position. turns out the problem was a misaligned key-pin and was easy fixable.
@@w94n Lol yeah with missing key tops and the word 'twat' carved into the back with and arrow pointing at the player XD

Yea i thoight she was playing that piece. Lol.

Bleeding during playing piano thats so beautiful i mean really beautiful
It's unsanitary and inconsiderate
@@Lulu-mj2fi: They fire cops, nurses, and health practitioners because of the *invisible* possibilities of COVID. This bloody pianist should be shown similar sets of syndrome protocols.
The risks to other pianists would render their celibacy meaningless. The most dynamic sure-fire prophylactic is to abstain.
@@eddyvideostar especially since blood in a piano is so difficult to clean with all the tight nooks and crannies and the WOOD!
OK. I hope you ll get Sida or something like this if the blood looks so great on piano😅
that must be a bloody annoying condition to have
Wow I guess people forget how dangerous blood is in piano competitions
Im here because AylexTV RUclips short..
I'm too, funny 😂

lmao same 😂
It was a piano concerto iirc.
Bartok’s second piano concerto.
Respect 🤘
yeah if you hit ti with your nail ur naiks starts to bleed
Honestly, even though it wasn't because of the difficulty of the piece, that made the performance way more dramatic and awe-inspiring
Happened to me with my bass I realized later on my nail shattered somehow and I was bleeding only realized after practice for a live I had
Lmao that piano is a biohazard now lol
I’m honestly concerned if the stains will wipe off.
Oh poor Steinway piano!
😂😂😂
I mean so she say It self it’s no problem for her that her finger are bloodying but, for the piano keys are liquid the dead :)
what is the name of the song?
.She is truly filled with…. DETERMINATION.
Dont worry kiddo i got you your reference. Really hit the funny bone 😉
Does no one around her or even she herself thought of wearing a glove if she has a thin/sensitive skin condition like that? The glove doesn't have to be super thick, just a regular glove, would that not have helped prevent the bleeding?
Im just surprised her left pinky can bleed so much
I wonder if it’s severe anemia. That can cause sudden bleeding and bruising.
Poor girl 😔
Honestly.... this would've been a great skit for the Onion
Yup, that’s the classical music world
this video title sounds so much like a the onion headline
Did she write in her blood the number 6, or am I the only seeing that on the piano. I see three of them.
40 hours! The true lang lang!
I think she might have won.
it's a good thing the viscosity of blood is pretty sticky or her fingers would have slipt right off the piano
This reminds me so much of whiplash
She signed a contract in blood with you know who

So, the keyboard is then a biohazard. Hmm.

From yt short not cringetok
@@ricer746 not sure if thats worse
No
Don’t worry, it’s just the piano devil’s contract
**IMPORTANT CONTEXT**
Her bleeding had nothing to do with the piece. She had a condition in her left pinky that occasionally caused her to bleed, and fortunately she said it didn't hurt.
Imagine her playing guitar💀💀
This is symptom of faulty technique
Bruh I don’t care if it don’t hurt, if I’m bleeding I’m freaking out lol
You are actually wrong. Her fingers bleed because she has a special condition. It isn’t too do with the level of difficulty of the piece.
*She has a condition that makes her fingers bleed
"that woman said" lol
I believe that she was just bonding with the piano 👀👀
So she just left it like that?? That’s nasty as hell , I don’t care about your “dedication” wear gloves 🧤 pls
as a germaphobe holy sht that scares me I dont wanna touch pianos anymore lol
To OT Stan: Thank you. Other usual perspectives; unsanitary conditions to begin with:
At the piano store,
A loose piano for street projects played by the prominent -- *and less so.*
No privy places.
People who are not using the privy properly.
Music schools.
Even at home during "straying thoughts" that lead to the breeding of baby batter.
Um… does she have to pay for that?
*Gloves left the chat
If she played Rachmaninoff then I’d get it
😂😂 my wife was just talking about him
When you play Rush E:
Wow, how weird!
I lost the tip of my right hand pinkie when I was a child. A callus formed over it, but it would peel off every few weeks and bleed. I remember carrying tissues in my pocket when I went into competitions so I could swipe at the keys if it bled. But never so much blood as this unfortunate lady. I also learned to "fake" octaves
with thumb and 3rd and 4th fingers. I remember my Juilliard entrance exam when I worried that the judges would disqualify me if they noticed ... but they didn't or mercifully overlooked it. Now fifty years later, the pinkie doesn't bleed but I still fake those octaves! 🫣
Slam bam thank ya mam
What’s the name of her disease?

She should have stopped. I wouldn't want to play on this.
That’s not blood, she just ate Flamin Hot Cheetos.
I didnt see any fire?
