- Video lecture on how stars appear in the night sky throughout the year. This video refers to lecture tutorial 3 ("Seasonal Stars") from "Lecture Tutorials for Introductory Astronomy" by Prather, et al.
VERY helpful, thank you so much!
Your videos are delightful!
All 12 (or 13, if you count Ophiucus) are visible from many locations on Earth. If you were to travel too far into either of the polar regions, you would not be able to see some of them. If you stood at the North Pole, you'd only be able to see about half of them.
Awesome view. Thanks
really this video is very useful, perfect
good for all astronomer
Thank you!
Great video! Very informative, thank you 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you
Love these vids! Thanks so much for your time & efforts! (:
PS When I hear you talking.. I imagine Leonard from the Big Bang Theory.. lol no offence I think it's funny!
Are all of these 12 zodiac constellations are visible (in a given year) from everywhere? or some of the constellations won't be visible?

The Equator can see half of the zodiac constellations at any time at night.
From most latitudes, winter is the best time to see the zodiac constellations high in the night sky.

On the diagram w the BIG person on earth pointing at the constellation, there is a arrow pointing to the North star. How does the arrow maintaining on target to North Star after going around the sun?
IsawThisAlready I have the same question. Hopefully he will answer.
IsawThisAlready The figure is not to scale, so the zodiacal constellations shown are EXTREMELY far away from the Earth. The Earth maintains the direction of its pole throughout the year (precession is only apparent at geologic timescales). The north star itself is also extremely far away from our Solar System, so the pole's direction still points to the north star even as the Earth orbits the Sun.
P.E. Robinson cool thanks. And now i know....And knowing is half the battle (GI Joe song)
You must love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. You must love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus the anointed is Lord! Repent and be baptized and believe the Gospel.
The stars are projected from the firmament the Earth is flat
derp
utter bullshit.
88 constellations comprise the celestial sphere.
This is all nonsense.
proof? watch the sky.
your comment is bs.
Thank you!
