Just so you guys know, "Echo" means they're an enlisted rank, with the corresponding number being what rank they are and their last name is the final phonetic alphabet. Knowing this, Echo-3 Juliet was only a Lance Corporal so he mustve only been in the corp for about three years give or take a year or two, if he was never NJP'd a rank or promoted meritoriously. If he joined straight out of high school he would be either be atleast 19 years old if he was a contract PFC or 20.
..Poor guy, this was definitely his first (and last) deployment...

They actually held their own and killed a lot of aliens
Also they can't detect the enemy location beacause they can teleport anywhere around the facility especially that the rocket launch that supposed to stop the invasion but the ninlanth( sorry for this bad name ) hold the bridge of Xen and Earth and then the aliens can now teleport in specific place rather than just random places.
And a line which is: Christ😠, there's no front line with these things.

You know, Its really sad to think that young men who had been recruited to join the HECU had all these fates. Such as mastiff-1 who didn’t have a chance. Black Mesa is one of the games that actually shows things like that to make it seem like they aren’t just NPC’s.

HECU isn’t a camo…
they did wore it, well kinda. In 1997 US Military did couple tests on experimental urban camo, pretty much just M81 BDU Urban camo. It was used in MOUT somewhere in California. Unfortunately it didn't really got released into duty.
H.E.C.U is based on U.S. Military Army.
