People giving Jonathan Slinger shit over his singing really annoy me. They don't get that his version of this character was MEANT to be darker than previous versions. They also don't get that every actor who has played Wonka in this musical has put their own spin on this song. They don't all sing it the same way, and if Jonathan wanted to speak the lyrics more so than sing, why the hell should he be judged for that?
Jonathan was a good Wonka. However. He added too much talking into this song. Like he talked a lot of the lyrics and screamed them instead of singing them
