People giving Jonathan Slinger shit over his singing really annoy me. They don't get that his version of this character was MEANT to be darker than previous versions. They also don't get that every actor who has played Wonka in this musical has put their own spin on this song. They don't all sing it the same way, and if Jonathan wanted to speak the lyrics more so than sing, why the hell should he be judged for that?

I've read stories of neurodiverse people who fell in love with this song. Just in case you needed another reason to love it :) Of course, I doubt they liked the ableism in "It's Teavee Time!" and "Vidiots", but nevertheless...

According to a comment on this video from 3 years ago this full bootleg was on RUclips as Poor boy and the chocolate factory but it seems to have been taken down And according to another CATCF the musical creator the google drive folder this bootleg was in also got deleted. The footage still exists but as a bad audio version They Eat Chocolate In London too
