@@alyxwold4974 While the Broadway song is the typical “spouse is gone and spouse miss him” type song”, the West End version is actually a trick notion playing off of how overworked and busy both parents are. They’re hardly together for Charlie throughout the day, as Mr. Bucket is off at his day work at a toothpaste company, while Mrs. Bucket is off at her night job as a seamstress, that they often comment on one another to Charlie as IF either were dead. It’s a fairly theoretical study on how difficult it gets for families to even be together when nearly everyone has to go off working in order for them all to keep surviving. I think a more clear title for the idea of the West End Number should be more like “If Your Mother/Father Were Here”, in my opinion.
The set had a Hollywood/Beverly Hills vibe in London. The line here wasn't necessarily saying that she was from Beverly Hills specifically, just that they're opening a boutique there.
The Gene Wilder film doesn't have the "Veruca/Verucca" joke either. Keep in mind, this audio is from the first preview, so things may have changed a bit since then. I doubt the joke from London ("The wart has two C's, I've got one," etc.) will be added in though, considering Veruca is Russian here.
Regularjosh1 they made the bratty kids are adults because they wouldn't want people to feel bad while watching it when they die. Even thought I felt bad for them.
Rex Barrett I figured that was the reason when I figured out that the characters are being killed off. I don't get why they decided to kill them off. Even if they are played by adults, I don't wanna see the characters killed off
Christian Borle slays my entire existence 😍😍
I cracked up when Wonka detected all of Auggie's sausages with his cane. :D
When are you uploading more?
Mind sending it to me? Matthewm715@gmail.com
CATCF Musical Did you go to the Broadway show?
I'm preparing a Brazilian version of this theater, to present in my city, if I do it is considered a bootleg?
Can you please give the full audio to me
Is the link? Or the full recording? Cause I used to have the link. Garrett sent it to me
Can you post pure imagination by the Douglas hodge form the 2013 video please Plese
Where's the wart joke? I really loved that....
I find it weird that the London version is If Your Mother Were Here and in the American version its If Your Father were here.
Rex Barrett in the West End both parents were alive

Maybe Warner Bros wanted the musical more like the 1971 film, where Charlie’s father doesn’t show up.
Garrett Howell Did you delete the video of the nutcraker sweet (version Broadway)
Do you have the Strike That, Reverse it reprise?
Why did u take down verucas nutcracker sweet
Found the trailer of it
the Violet is from Beverly Hills in this version?
She was from California in the London show too.
But they did not specify in which part of California.

Hi Garrett❤, is there any way you can share to me the preview of Verucas Nutcracker Sweet ??? Thank you do much 😊
R U 4 Real?
Plz post candy man
THEY LEFT OUT THE WART JOKE?? NOW I'M PISSED? HOW CAN YOU LEAVE OUT THE JOKE THAT HAS BEEN IN EVERY ITERATION??
And the horrible way they handle the 'charlie knew wonka all along' subplot to fit the candyman song...

It seems different each performance. when I saw it, the Veruca joke was there and the charlie knowing wasn't.
I thought it was handled really well, actually. And the Verucca joke was in the show, just not the music.
Ah, so it wasn't during "Strike That, Reverse It?"
Why are The Salts Russian?
Since Russia is famous for their ballet and Veruca does ballet , they decided to make the Salts Russian.
I'm listening to this. I don't like the adults playing the kids. It just doesn't seem good.

Regularjosh1 From what I heard, they wanted Charlie to stand out more against the other kids. So they made him the only kid.
In an interview, they explain that they also wanted charlie to stand out by being the only child
The West End version is better.
