I loved the late 90’s Jeep Grand Cherokee as a kid, insane that the Compass is the same height and wider than the 90’s Grand Cherokee, which would have been a full size at the time.

In my area, it would be an extra $5 bucks for premium 91 fuel instead of unleaded 87, and that’s if filling up from E. An extra $3 - $4 bucks to full up from 1/4 tank for premium, so that isn’t a huge deal at all.

2.0 turbo and only 200ish horses? That's just a kinda of a disappointment... I own a 2021 compass and love it as my commute car ... The interior def is eye candy

Its the same engine from the Wrangler, and you really shouldn't judge a vehicle just from numbers on paper... This engine is tuned to specifically have gobbs and gobbs of low end torque, more so then your average Turbo, its a monster for off-roading and pulling your vehicle out of sketchy levels of mud and snow!
For a sub-compact SUV its putting out really respectable numbers, if your looking for more maybe look at a entirely different class of vehicle and don't be shocked when your told to pay more? Like it starts at 25k dollars for the base trim, go to a KIA dealership and you'll be lucky to see 150HP in your small SUV for that price.
