My 1970 Chevy El Camino came out of this shrine to old automotive iron back in April, 2017 on a clear Texas title. It took about two or so years of restoration but its running well and looking good now.
Wish i had the money, time and i was a younger man !!!!!!! I WOULD SAVE EVERY CAR SAVEABLE. AND REBUILD THEM ALL👍🙏❤😊🇺🇸
Ain't that what we all want. Ronnie.
Im going up there to see if I can find a 1969 to 1970 Gmc with a 4x4. I already have a 427 hi performance engine for a truck
all those rear doors are a gold mine.......................
Thanks for the invite. Enjoyed the vdeo,
Glad you enjoyed it
I am happy you got yards like this.
Thanks 4 the tour !! That 66 Catalina 2 me was the 1 to get restore. also liked that dodge s.wagon 65 rare the only thing u need money money money !!!
Thanks for watching
Great tour! Thanks for showing the big collection.
Thanks for watching!
Great, thanks for the walk.
One of the first cars you talk about (with the gray primer) looked to me to be a '67 or '68 Dodge Dart.
It could also be a amc rebel
@@HighSockDavid 1973 Dodge Dart
@@steves259 z3317 is right, it's a '67 or '68 Dart. Hard to tell which with all the trim missing, but it's either one of those 2 years.
67-69 Dart. And there was also a 70-72 Dart later in the video.
Alot of nice projects. The one that caught my eye 1st was that red Torino.
I agree William
The jag had a small block conversion!👍👍
I bought a L OT of parts for my '54 Olds 98 there...the owners always treated me well...the prices were high, but in my case it was often the only game in play.
They come to this garbage, take cars, then repain them, and then sell them to us for hundreds of thousands of dollars
The Packard was a 55 Pontiac .. beautiful car !
Wow…. Love to have $$$$ and visit this place.
A very close friend had a vintage/classics yard in Lake City FL. When he passed away, his two sons crushed every vehicle in it and sold it all as scrap metal. One of the cars was a 1970 429 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler that was 99% all there and near rust free.
Crazy
Some people are just Stupid Crushing all the old ones, people like me need parts
@@keithmaxwell2169 You'd be surprised how many aftermarket parts that are available for restorations.
That 55 Pontiac that you called a Packard has the rear window moldings you need; 55-57 Chevy and Pontiac 2 dr hardtop rear glass and moldings interchange.....
right about the Pontiac
Hollander would confirm that - surprised Williamson didn’t bring that up. Maybe due to fact it was on car he wants to sell whole. I’ve dealt with customers like that more than once, they want a small gee gaw off a complete car.
Great. Thanks to share.
I could spend weeks in there what a dream land
Pp
Good cars in there , lot’s of them are rough and picked over , but lot’s of nice ones ! You were not supposed to peek over the fence ! But you are right , good stuff over that fence ! Lmho ❤
All I can say is WOW ! Wasn’t expecting all those cars at the end . I could spend days in a place like that . Keep them coming Thomas .
that was a six cylnder not a straight 8, the wife was working down that way a few years back, were from michigan I'd like to live at the end of that road a junkyard and a dragstrip what more could a guy ask for , thanks for the video
Stovebolt six, in that 59-60 carcass. 235 cubic inches.
Thanks for your video.
Thanks for watching!
@@heartoftexasbarnfindsandcl5193 I try and thumbs up and share as many as possible! You are welcome and thank you again for good watching.
You took us to paradise and we never lift the house. Glade you ask about the 34 mine needs a trunk lid.
Спасибо.
Интересно было посмотреть место где живут старые автомобили Америки.
My favorite old car junkyard! I miss being able to walk around the yard tho, but I understand times change. And even tho we don't live in Texas anymore I still browse their website to see what full cars they have for sale❤
Cool
I know be fore ling it will be looking at the 2000s yuk!
some gems there...
Awesome am planning to do a build I might come there and buy one to start with
I go there all the time.
I believe the rear stainless trim on that 55 Pontiac two door hardtop would fit the your missing rear window trim on your 57 Chevy. Just saying.
thanks
Thanks for the tour man that was pretty cool, lot of old cars I love the Camaros the darts the Chevys 😎
Glad you enjoyed it
That some cool stuff
Bought a Door and Hood from them back in the 90s for my 1959 Ford Fairlane
The one you were not sure of At 9:29 is about a 1967 Dodge Dart
I'm pretty sure that the rear window stainless trim that you're looking for for you '57 Chevy hardtop is identical to the trim on that 55-56 Pontiac hardtop you walked past at 7:25 in the video.
just saw this; yep I said same thing tri five chevy and poncho interchange
You guys are passing up a Great Investment out of that yard... I saw at least 2 Datsun/Nissan 240 Z in there. Those cars are having a huge resurgence in the JDM car community and they are going for thousands of dollars. And i'm not talking about 3 to 6 thousand. I've seen some up close to 30 thousand. You guys should rescue one of those restore it and get you money's worth
Easier said than done. Potential buyers are a lot fewer and in between than they used to be. And they nitpick a lot. Finally there’s Logistics the Gorilla in the room.
Wish you would have did more walk arounds of the 70's land yachts. The impalas, chryslers, buicks, and caddys.
Apologies, i’ll try better next time I do a video
@@heartoftexasbarnfindsandcl5193 No apology needed, I like looking at all 70s and older classics!
just watched ur video, keep em coming my friend..your buddy from Pa.
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Went there once. They swore they had zero monte carlo taillights. So they escorted me out. There were 4 pairs 300.00 a pair. No negotiating. I walked out.
yeah... I bought a condenser and some ac lines for my 70 Superbee. its the same as a 4 door or other B bodies.. they heard super bee and went up on the price. I ordered the parts, they came mechanically damaged inside of the box. refused to be responsible for it. and the said shipper should have packed it better. beware of this place! ended up costing me 600 for most of the parts I needed.
Glad to hear your comment. I ain't going.
Nice looking at all of these ol chevys look like a turkey after the thanksgiving diner all picked though and the little ones chewed on the bones oh
Wish we could bring m alive. Allllll of em
Here's a "Real Good Ole Boy"!
Perfekt 👍
Some of those long wheel base mid 70s chevy s with that same ol 350 180 horsepower just flat dogs
Thanks for the tour love the 65 Pontiac Catalina I wouldn't leave that thier if wanted a car to restore
Yea, the Catalina is a keeper!
Oh wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You go back and look at that motor again after 6 cylinder straight 6 count the spark plugs damn it boy
Yeah I miss spoke because I was just randomly talking I counted it in my head right after I said it. Thanks tho. Lol
Hi, guy. I'm writing from Santiago Chile, SouthAmerica. Your video is amazing. I was in Austin and San Antonio, Texas in 2004 and 2005 visiting a friend of mine. I can recognize several cars over there, such as Chevrolet El Camino, Camaro, and many others. Well, I have a question: How is possible that the grass can be short..? 🤔
Thanks for watching buddy ,glad you enjoyed my channel, they have a crew and I guess they cut the grass weekly. Family business
@@heartoftexasbarnfindsandcl5193 😘
Been to yards like this before. Don't wander off into the forbidden zone they may send a goon squad to retrieve you. Afraid you might get out the gate with a dash knob in your pocket. Everyone thinks they have a gold mine.
True. Some time a deal can be made.
31:48(ish), 2dr Falcon, 64-65 maybe earlier I'm not an expert just a fan...man that's a car worth grabbing
That Chrysler wagon is extremely rare at 29:00!
With those three crowns on the grille, I think it is a Crysler Imperial Wagon - which would be the top of the line. Indeed RARE by today's standards. Everything on those would be unique to that model and quite difficult to source.
THE GREY CAR YOU WERE LOOKING AT , FROM THE REAR PARKING LAMPS ITS A 1969 DODGE DART 2 - DOOR HARDTOP WITH A 225 SLANT - 6 !!!! 1969 WAS THE FIRST YEAR OF THOSE RECTANGULAR PARKING LAMPS , FOR CHRYSLER , DODGE , PLYMOUTH !!!!!!
Very good
Thanks
Incredible place Steve in Australia. Is anything for sale. the mystery car is a 1968 to 71 car with a few names,in Australia they were called valiant VF to VG series Hardtop and made in australia.. in America it could be a dodge or plymouth Dart badged swinger,, some had 383,s 318,s or slant or straight 6,, the Aussie version came in 318 V8 215,ci 225ci,245ci Hemi 6 cyl,, yes Hemi 6 cyl the Aussie cars had 2 different roof lines,, some were called Mexican models... The yellow car beside the Catalina is an Austin/ Morris 1100 from England, The Jag is a series 2 xj6 70,s , someone has put a Chev V8 in it i saw the engine,, regardless of the jaguar engraved rocker covers.
Hi Steve. Most of everything I recorded is for sale
Austin 1100, came in 4 door too, pretty common here in Ireland then
@@Redgolf2 there big inside and can be made to go like an MG.. they had beautifull seats. The Austin 1800 body that came in a 6cyl were beautifull cars.we made them here too in Australia
@@stevedriver1476 Hello from Texas to Australia , quick question about the black rock mountain in northern Queensland what do you know about it?
If they were willing to work with a guy, several of those rigs, like that super sled, sixty olds two door hardtop at the very first was a sweet dream. Yeah they are big but what a rig when fixed up. I would love to do a older ford as in the forty models, two doors are the best for me to go from inside out. I would use like a wildcat frame and running gear with the old ford or mercury body and just build the mounts and go from there. If he would only let a man pick from parts side that you can't go on. I can't remember what car it was but it had good floors and a four speed transmission hole in the floor. Guy could separate the body from the frame and floorboards so that a old body could be set on and tack welded to a newer car ...possibilities are unlimited
67-69 dart.Ronnie.
Gotta brush up a bit on your car makes and years. 😎👍 Thanks for sharing, really cool stuff out there.
Nobody knows everything ,and I think I’m good. Thanks tho. I’ve been reading the auto trader -to determine differences of cars since I was a kid . no I’m not a car guru to know everything ,, I’ve never met one of those .. A rare breed you could say. you might know everything a ford, or everything of Chevy, or everything of Mopar, Lincoln Chrysler European models difference between Canadian cars.
but I appreciate you watching buddy..
Thanks
My late uncle “Leslie” was like that. A car guru. He and his sons always had a paper Hemmings at hand, and literally knew everything on the road, in a yard or for sale.
I drove by there on my semi then looked them up online and didn't see anything I was interested in. Dave's classic cars in glenarm Illinois has a more in demand selection
ok cool. Thanks
I would call that a field of broken dreams. Or an ode to planned obsolesance. When those cars were built new in the factory that is where the engineers designed them to wind up. So in that sense the engineers had a huge success.
There was a foreign car manufacturer that used that song in their advertising for a spell. Believe it was either Saab or Audi. Despise both those marques.
This looks like a shady junkyard.
Something about the owners.
Pricey and not very cooperative.
The owners look as CROOKED AS A RAM'S HORN! 😧😧😯😯🐏🐏🐏🐏
a person can be there all day
Yes Sir
wowww
Hey, hi hello. Greetings from Poland, Europe.
Hello from Texas.. ✌
Might like to see some more Chryslers
I'd rather see a sea of these old cars than a sea of gerrrmany crap, these old cars are gold to me .😄👍 thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
@@heartoftexasbarnfindsandcl5193 not much American stuff in Britain unfortunately 😕
Not one 58 chev...!
Wish they would write prices on windshield. Pain in the ass to have to ask on every one.
.....Check OUTLAW PERFORMANCE in Pennsylvania......I have one of their 34 Chevy’s......AWESOME !!!! National Award Winner !!! And boy, does it draw attention on the road !!!!
The Olds 98 is a 1959 my first car was a Dynamic 88, and it was the same year.
I like old junkyards but that first chevelle blue one wasn't a 68 or 69 it was a 70 71
I need two front fenders for my 64 Mercury Comet Caliente....
Those are available aftermarket.
I believe it is a Dodge Dart or maybe a swinger
26.11 de soto convertible ......
The Chevy in the thumbnail is like my grandma used to have. I say lord let it pass away never to be seen again. My grandma was a horrible person towards the end baring false witness I would never want to see a car like that ever again in my life.
Good junkyard just expensive and they will not change the price on anything idc if you 2 dollars short lol
@10:52 I need that hood from that catalina for my 65 star chief.
give them a call. CTC Auto Ranch
My only dealing with CTC was a few years ago when they shipped me a steering column for a 1968 Impala. The price was high, but I needed the part. After assuring me the part was high quality, they sent me a steering column from a car that had obviously been in a front end collision. Just a bent up piece of crap.
That sucks Bob
There are several steering column specialists out there now. That sell refurbished classic era columns. “Columns Galore” is one that comes to mind. Believe they’re in New York State.
Shrimp Basket 🧺
Ya,the owner wasn't very helpful and wasn't sure what he had, here in California the salvage yards take you out were the vehicle is, and if the parts not there they call all around to get what you're looking for, I guess there wasn't any money for him, he wanted the business. 🤠
Can't believe he doesn't have what you need!!!@
Right
They do or can get but if it's not high dollors they don't want to be bothered there all the same
я бы очень хотел погулять по такой свалке в США просто очень люблю американские машины но живу в России
Crusher need to come in get rid of those picked over shells
Seems a bit mean not letting you have a proper mooch around.
Ya they Suck
nearly all these cars deserve to be saved but for some of them, it is too late unfortunately. from france
Hi from Texas
👍👍👍
Wished I could take a closer look at that '67 Chevy pickup you passed by. How much are they selling whole vehicles for there?
Not sure bbuddy
Any 1960's chevy, dodge, or ford vans?
This is my Disney world keep the videos coming I need parts for a 1958 chraysler New Yorker. See any thanks
I do hopoe many are saved as these are classicas.
At the 9:45 question, that’s either a Dodge Dart or Dodge Swinger, my dad had one w a v8, auto,ac car, blue
not sure
It was a Dart.
16 min, something beside el camino?
I think your area gm man !
Dart Swinger
I called that place about some 66 GTO parts they had nothing
59-60 Impalas didn't have a "straight 8". That was a straight 6.
Ya, I miss spoke
Looking for Coronet quarter panel if you have any from a 2 door please drop me a line
My quess it was a 67 to 70 dodge dart .
LOL, just get the mobile crusher.
That car at 9,33 was a Dodge Dart.
