    Thank you sir. I make Tepache without sugar in the good old recipe. I use squeezed grape juice to feed the bacteria and let it ferment with pineapple rind, ginger, cinnamon, chilli and cloves.

    I just tried this, using the same tart cherry juice you did, and it totally worked! Awesome! (I left mine for a full 48 hours, because the house is much colder in winter.) I thought it wasn't working at first, because it wasn't super-bubbly. (I could shake it up pretty good without an explosion or a ton of fizzing or anything); But, it did work. I am so happy! I drank some last night before bed. It was good! It does have that same bubbly, bitey fizz to it that kombucha does. I love that I can make this myself, it doesn't have caffeine, and it has no sugar added into it. I do plan on trying it with coconut water too, someday; But for now I'm really liking the tart cherry, and I think I'm going to stick with that. Thank you again for sharing this idea, John. - I really, really appreciate it!!!

    You are not the only one to enjoy sleeping in cooler temperatures. In 1983 scientists discovered pigs like to sleep in colder temperatures than during the day. They did this by teaching the pigs to control the thermometer.

      Fresh Kimchi is amazing. The issue with many store-bought fermented foods is the ADDED SALT, which is in excess IMO. So make your own. I believe spicy foods have health benefits if included appropriately.

    excellent video, thank you! May I ask if you would kindly consider making a video about this diet healing SIBO, I have been trying to transition for the last 3 years and the bloating with constipation have been worsening. Maybe you know someone in the raw community who can help people with SIBO to switch to this diet, thank you again

    I followed the instructions in this video and used ancient nutrition gut recovery regenerative organic probiotic. It has the same probiotic that is mentioned in the video. Waited 24 hours, and no change in the juice. No carbonation, no sealed top. I don’t know if that $50 bottle of probiotics was all dead. It was in the refrigerated section at natural grocers. I was really hoping that this would work to assist in my health journey. I tried taking the probiotics as directed for two days in a row and just ended up bloated. I already eat a high raw vegan diet. Unfortunately, Natural Grocers only lets you return one item per receipt, which I already had to do because the product had leaked. Now I am probably out $50 as it seems that this probiotic is not living.

    Interesting video! I have a question: Can this be done with bottled/shelf stable coconut water too (like, the kind that comes in a Tetra Pak): or is it only recommended to use bottled fruit juices? Thanks!

    • @okraw
      @okraw  4 месяца назад +3

      I dont see why it would not work. The probiotics are looking for the sugar. That being said, for me, other nutrients in the juice make this fermented beverage even healthier. ie: anthocyanins in cherry, concord grape juice, etc.

    Something is not computing with respect to the lychee skin tea b/c the tea would be heated, thus no probiotic. Presumably probiotics are live.

      Yes, you can ferment longer. To keep juice longer, put in fridge after 24 hours (or when you think is done) so you can store it longer
