Like many people I think the most simple thing to do would add a “eras” franchise mode. All they have to do is have premade draft classes, so I don’t think it would be too hard. They could also have screen effects to make it feel like the 80’s 90’s etc. They really need different score boards as well, a prime time one or something. The game just needs more randomness in presentation.

@@dopewalker EA is so far behind 2k. 2k implemented it this year and it was a massive hit with the mygm community in the game. EA gotta wake up
@@FettyRop yeah I played it this year and it was so fun to build a dynasty with your home team just because you already had the knowledge of what draft classes would be worth investing in.

I want a franchise mode that begins at Superbowl I, allowing me to choose at what point in the league history to begin. I'd love to be able to delve back in time to bring guys just outside of greatness into the promised land. Marino and Rivers need their rings, damn it!
In 2K they let you play in the 80s 90s and 2000s it even makes the broadcasting look older if you want madden needs to add it
Maybe like Brady coming back, have an "out of retirement" option in franchise mode where you could bring 1 HOF player out of retirement to be on your roster for 1 season. It would be great to have Marino, Moss, or Barry Sanders to boost your team for that super bowl run.
@@Knightsfootball2012 That would be fun and to expand on that idea: A franchise mode where each of the 32 teams bring 1 to 3 historical greats out of retirement. It could even be a draft.
It would be impossible to get the licenses for the tens of thousands of players that have played in that time. NBA can do it way easier because rosters are a 10th of the size
Unfortunately this would be basically impossible because they couldn’t get a lot of players licenses
I'm sick of the incremental improvements. The game is a cash cow. Franchise mode won't give me the same feeling as playing back on the PS2? Why not? Look at the depth and wholesale changes NBA2k makes from year to year to their franchise mode, Madden really has no excuses.
With the technology out today, you're right they have absolutely no excuse.

@@iveyDEOthat’s because their franchise mode is already perfect for a basketball game, and they added eras I think last year or this year I don’t remember exactly which trumps anything EA has done.
@@iveyDEO respectfully, you don't have a clue what you're talking about. You can start your franchise in 3 different eras in 2k, all with different presentations and styles of play. They tweak the controls and player movements. You can fine tune every aspect of the experience, down to custom uniforms and shoes. Madden cant even get player models right and don't get me started with the scripted animations and AI response. I loved Madden, bought it every year and it finally dawned on me that I wasn't having fun anymore, so I stopped buying it. It's nice to see some things that WERE IN THE GAME 20 YEARS AGO come back, but it's not good enough. It's not to say that 2k hasn't had some issues and the microtransactions are there, but as someone who loves a game to reflect the real thing, Madden isn't even in the same universe as 2k. At least 2k actually cares to put out a decent product before they take your money. Madden's product is inferior to even their own 20 years ago. It's embarrassing.

Exactly, there are a ton of people who could do it, hell they could update the commentary periodically when signing onto the server

Or at least add a prime time crew or something. Having the same 2 guys every year doing every single one of your games gets old and it’s unrealistic.
I also wish they’d bring back making custom uniforms.. When I was a kid I would make every team with as close as I could make their uniforms of the football league I played in. It was so fun

I think they should bring back starting offense and defense lineup, like whenever you don't get the first down or throw in incompletion on the first play

I do a lot of slow sim games because I feel like it is more realistic so I think they should bring back the players walking out of the huddle and lining up on some plays like irl when the camera shows them lining up.
Ncaa 14 does that perfectly and if you tap x or a rapidly your players will line up as fast as your tapping the button. Such a great feature that should have carried over to madden forsure

Madden should do all time teams and also classic teams (90s 49ers, cowboys, 2007 patriots, 98 broncos, vick falcons, etc)....I've seen people create those teams in community creations so why not EA, I remember they use to have classic teams on the old maddens
I wonder if they're going to bring back working on stats individually. I used to love taking a speedy full back or DT/DE/TE and making them a pulling guard, or a wide receiver into a cornerback and vise versa, or a power running RB into a QB for fun. 2 way players for the ancient days of Madden.
Made me feel like i was playing some NFL street sometimes when all of a sudden this QB has one of the best trucking abilities in the game as you have Devin Hester playing CB and a tight end at guard and some random prospect LB at tackle with 80 speed for that shotgun 2back screen pass.
Also playing lineman or fullback for your friend with cut blocks and power blocks on the right srick was wild. I know people HATED QB vision but it made it so fun to be in zone coverage strafing as they're trying to wait until the last second to throw to whom they actually want to throw to. The high /low hit stick vs the truck stick or back juke or wide juke battles too...wild to think weve gone so far backwards with the game since then
They need to add the progressive weather engine like gta & red dead have where it starts & stops raining, snowing , sunshine to cloudy etc
In the future EA could add an era’s franchise game mode basically like 2k where you could play in an era that you want like the Montana era or the Brady era but I doubt it.
Yes it would be so nice if EA added it also in 2K it also makes it look like you are watching an old game but yeah probably won’t happen in madden
@@mattofsteelgaming5026 problem with that is that it would take a lot of time due to there being 53 people per roster instead of 2k which is 15 and draft classes for football have 250+ players compared to the 60 for basketball and 2k only has like 10 players per class where if madden did that it would ruin the point of old eras
@@max32324 I get that but regular people who play the game have gone and spent hours making there own custom rosters and draft classes if they can do it I’m pretty sure billion dollar company EA can do it
@@mattofsteelgaming5026 they have to pay money to use the players in the game or they can get sued by the players which would lead to the NFL ending their contract with ea.
@@mattofsteelgaming5026 I dont believe they are going to spend that much money to get licencing on players from the 1990s because they would lose and it would hurt development on other aspects of the game that may be more important
Bringing back superstar mode and mini camp is much appreciated. Only thing we missing is a jiggy playlist like 04
Other than gameplay I want Franchise stats to be as realistic as possible, no qb ever has a bad year when i play and teams consistently put up unrealistic numbers.
I'm still on the fence that NCAA24 is actually coming out next year. Would I love to see the game come out? Absolutely yes NCAA 14 was awesome. I'm just afraid if it comes out it'll be a Madden reskin. Great video though.

Madden 24 is the first madden I’m not buying at launch. Tired AF of getting burned by EA. They’ll spend a check on some Mahershala Ali Mo capture but not on improving the game smh. I’m a franchise player & if it’s not dramatically overhauled then it’s a complete no buy for me. All this pre drop info sounds really good it does, but until a 2 week review drops after launch that hits all the markers is when & only then I’ll cop the game. No more mindlessly buying madden just for nostalgia purposes. Definitely looking forward to your after launch review. Subbed
I go every 2 years.. seems to be more worth it since i've been stuck in "old gen" for a couple years.. so this game will at least have a ton of new features for me.
Gonna blast music from madden 04/05 during mini camp drills to get that nostalgia

Improving from 23 franchise and superstar mode isn’t hard to do because they were both horrible in madden 23. Sounds like in Madden 24 they just added a few things that shouldn’t have been removed in the first place. Mobile QBs is one thing getting out the pocket throws on the run but it’s very unrealistic when QBs can run back 20-30 yards launch a perfectly thrown ball on the other side of the field without even seeing their target and complete passes I’ve seen this too much or my personal favorite run around 20 plus yards scrambling back and back every play without the loss of energy
That’s what I was thinking to.
I’m so sick of this game / franchise removing things, changing things, then adding them back.
They shouldn’t be getting congratulated for just getting BACK to the level the games used to be….

2. Making Long snapper a actual position....
3. Real life assistant coaches.
4. A coach free agency where we can move coaches to other teams if we want.
5. A option to shut off pre existing injuries before you start Franchise mode.
Are they bringing back export team from franchise mode? Are they using new playbooks or still more of the same?
How many of these changes if any are incorporated into the PS4 version?

I just bought a ps5 yesterday along with Madden after having a 4 for years. I must say that Madden 24 is so much fun that I feel like a rookie in Madden. And I've been playing Madden since 1998! I love it. No complaints yet, I'm still learning.

This sounds like a remake of what’s good about madden 23. Basically the game is less bad and they don’t even have franchise up to what 2k has basically done. It’s still hot garbage I’m done asking for things in madden and then they give me something reskinned from 5 years ago or 10 even. Mind you for basically 80$
Remember the all madden team or old big teams like the 85 bears all that was taken away 😢
8:24 New blocking system you notice the receiver at the top is kinda glitched out just wondering up field.. he should know the play is still live & come back towards the ball & block someone like a wideout would in real life 🤷🏾♂️
Are there a good amount of mini games for ALL players? QBs seemed to have like 8 and then all other positions had 1 or 2..

They haven’t been adding anything to franchise mode in the last few years, it just has a different layout
Mini games for franchise was amazing. Not only did it make your players better, it also made "you" better.
With a bunch of arcade style football games coming out do you think ea will make any changes to the yard
I wish we could have 1 like 5 min it force storyline at the start where we start at Pop Warner but when we get to high School & college it says we have to go to NCAA football 24 then once we get to The Combine we go to Madden
Are the ratings for offense and defense like real life? Also like the 2K will they have great teams like 85 Bears 89 49ers or 76 Raiders to name a few and these teams as well play like real life.

How do you relocate
We would like to play on the same team in Franchise Mode as well or play MyPlayer on the same team, EA drops the ball every year & doesn't even try.
I wish they would bring back being able to play reg games with your franchise team.
i miss the flea flicker and the double wide or double slot defensive plays. i also miss the spread 4 playbook for create a playbook
Eric how do you feel about being able to make your own schedule outside of your division games and being able to completely switch up what division you belong like in ncaa 14
Just thought it would be nice to have more customization… if you want to have a totally tough schedule and play all the best teams outside of your division then you could … or instead of playing the same non division game team or teams that you always do after the first season or two.
Or it maybe fun to realign all the divisions just a thought
Something I want is for multiple people to be able to control a team (so like a 64 man franchise)
You can literally play on the same team as friends in every game mode except franchise mode🤦🏽♂️

They should just let you normalize it by minutes like 2K does. It's one of the few things 2K gets right though lol
When will the new Helmets and uniforms come out for this year? I doubt it will be at launch.
They should make it so you can use all time teams or like a all time franchise
What would have been great for pretty much everyone to bring back from the old hey day Madden's would have been a create a play playbook. On a personal level, I would have liked a uniform editor again. With Maximum Football offering those and much more, it might supplant Madden if the graphics are at PS4 level and the game is physics based

Eric we gotta get em to fix the lack of explosiveness and juke system the acceleration and wow factor is not there it’s too north and south designed
Whoa!!! Looking at title screen and in the Madden 24 section it not only shows Deandre Hopkins in the retro Oilers gear, but the scoreboard is updated to show the retro logo!! Is this a mirage?? If it isn’t very impressed by the Madden team.
Now the work isn’t done, because hopefully EA took the additional step of updating the field artwork (end zones, 50 yd line, ect) too when the home wears the retro uniforms. Every team team usually brings back the retro end zone artwork when the team wears the retro jerseys. I hope EA has done this in 24 as most NFL teams use multiple end zone designs in a season, so it doesn’t make sense to play Madden with only one field artwork design.
They've also added the ability to restructure contracts which is huge imo.

Probably all Hip-Hop music again. Miss the old school Madden Play lists, like "Mr.Jinx and "Fine Again"

I would like to see a tournament mode and a franchise league you can modify to fit the amount of people you have in your league. Not everyone can fill a whole league.
Also hope they address the fact that all CB’s can jump and swat the ball ALL the time.
Franchise mode is still a long way off. It lacks a ton of customization that other [sports] games have. The biggest "add" to Franchise mode is the ability to turn off HFA/Momentum.
The momentum was so broken in Madden 23 you could literally be up by a couple scores and have zero momentum advantage
Will online franchise be cross platform in M24?
can they just ratings for coaches and make it so that the elite coaches can make bad teams decent and terrible coaches make great teams incredibly mid and great coaches making great teams ELITE? Just sayin thats way better than this coaching tree which you could max out after 2 seasons
That is such a good idea bro, like for the bucs, they are a very good team but the coaching is whats holding them back, see what happens to them when Bruce arians was they're hc. It was good, and for other teams like the broncos from last year, or the opposite like the rams with Sean mcvay who is an elite coach who helped the rams win a ring

They should allow more ppl added on to tackling like they had the right direction in madden 10 just got to clean it up

In franchise mode they should have overall changes based on how the player performed in the season. If they performed well the overall should go up and the dev but if they didn’t perform well the dev and overall goes down instead of just changing the dev trait every season And with the upgrades throughout the season should still be in but would only be for the season your in just like how madden rates their players every year

If they don’t get this game to a more enjoyable point than last year, I may never buy another Madden game again. Stop rushing to release games every year so you can money and focus on getting your game right.
It won't give me the same feeling as when we played on PS2? Why the hell not? That era was 20 years ago and had WAY more depth than we see today, even with the crazy amount of technology, and the amount of money EA makes from this franchise (MUT). Why should we be happy that they improved from a barely playable turd, to passable? Why are we happy with EA's model of releasing passable content? We aren't asking for the entire sports world to be turned on its head, celebrating just how amazing EA did with a football game, we want a fully fleshed out franchise experience, featuring modes, stats, and customization that we've seen in previous versions, and other football games from YEARS ago. Things that should have been in the game for YEARS now. I'm not willing to give EA any more slack until they've earned it. I'm not willing to hear the excuses any more. Either put up or shut up.
I wish you could load previous teams but I know that will not happen. They make money on MUT and updating rosters, not by allowing versatility.
Another thing is they may not get rights to certain players but I'm okay if you change their name to their number lol
Updated positional terminology is a must. No one uses LOLB, ROLB, LE, RE, DT. It's IDL, LB, EDGE.
Those would make franchise mode even better and teach people the game. Like John Madden always wanted the game to do.

Can they have the cpu initiate trades with you. I can at least get that in nhl 23. Last time I checked, real teams went out and offered trades to other teams. Why can’t they get the cpu to do that
