Hurricane Laura flattened Louisiana and remained a hurricane into the northern parishes. My sister`s roof nearly peeled off in central Louisiana. We could see the sky through cracks in the living room. If it would have passed just 10 miles closer her home would be gone because there were 100 mph gusts west of us.

@@Climatedatareport I`m hearing thunder here in central Louisiana. We`ve had very little rain so far this summer but so much in late spring that I couldn`t mow the yard.

@@Climatedatareport When I went out to get packages lightning hit nearby. That always happens to me. It has sprinkled some with thunder all around but no hard rain yet. It has been cloudy all morning.
