I get asked a lot about how to submit coins to PCGS for grading. In this video, I will be using the online submission form and show you step by step how to submit your coins for grading. I will not be using the paper submission form in this video since online submission is easy and very quick and simple. Of course, there are other coin grading services you can use such as NGC, ANACS, etc - but I prefer to use PCGS since I am a member with them and are a trusted grading company. I'll walk you through submitting a few coins - one for standard grading and one for variety attribution and in a future video, we will check to see how the grades came out. If you are interested in seeing some of my PCGS Unboxing and Results Videos - you can check them out here: ruclips.net/p/PLknd43YfQfvYztWGLXLut71CBA9OkhP-N I hope you enjoyed this video and found it informative. I will be doing more videos like this of more of my great finds while roll hunting Pennies, Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, Half Dollars and Dollar Coins. Keep hunting and good luck! I realize this was posted a year ago, but dude, this is the most helpful video I’ve seen yet. When you initially sign up to PCGS, it’s borderline overwhelming looking at their submission form. You are a great help to us newbies. Thanks alot
Need watch that several times. Worried about losing the coin in the mail. TYVM. Video is spot on. Have a 1964:D RPM looks PCGS 65. One sold for $19,900. Trying to through the process. Awesome.
Hi Rob, Excellent job of a sequential explanation for sending coins. I believe that it will assist many submitters in identifying the various selections on the form. PCGS may even reward you with a small stipend in appreciation.
Thanks for this Rob. For someone that has never done a submission,it could be quite intimidating and especially since one is dealing with currency and we certainly would want to make sure that we take the right steps.
Three years later, and it is still helping others. I was a bit intimidated trying to fill one of these out. The instructions seem a bit to legalesse to follow. Knew it should be much easier. You clarified the importan step. PCGS#
Very helpful video to one who has never submitted coins for grading. Might've been good to include the packing process, too. Some people skimp there, despite a "safe pack" being of utmost importance.
This is a great video if you have no idea how to submit coins to PCGS. I watched it before I submitted my first order - and I re-watched it again for my second order! I will probably watch it again for any future orders as well.
Thanks for sharing this information on how to use pcgs I have some coins myself I hope to have graded in the near future I hope you get a good grading on the indian head penny wishing you good luck Rob!!
Thanks for the walkthrough. I'm nervously submitting to PCGS for the 1st time today. I am REALLY hoping that a couple of them fall outside of the $2500 covered by the vouchers! The price guide doesn't list a CAM for the 1938 Walking Liberty proof, so if you see that line added in the next few weeks, hopefully that'll be me! 😂
Thank you so much for taking the confusion and guess work out of sending my coins for grading. I feel much better about the process now. I'm sure that I'll become a pro at it over time. ☺
Thank you Rob, very informative, I think it's important to understand how to get coins graded, I have a 1883 Morgan, going to decide if I want to get it done. 👍
Thank you so much. Best instruction video. Very comprehensive. Glad you includes using paper tape and what CLUB means. I'm new to coin collecting. First time submitting.
I sure this video will answer a lot of questions for your channel watcher's. I think the Indian will be at least a 64 but would be so cool to see a 66 or better!!! Great find and congratulations Rob!!!! Now the waiting begins....
@@kingklad7102 I don't or wouldn't salt the rolls!! I don't have any coins that nice in my collection. These rolls came from a old couple that has been bringing them to the bank. They had 3 five gallon buckets full of pennies and have been rolling up and bringing them into my bank. My last box I opened, I got a 09-S VDB and several other wheats with some being red.
Great job explaining. It still seems like allot however, this video eases my mind a little more. I’m going to be submitting some coins soon and can’t wait for the results. 🤞
great video, that took a lot of headache out of figuring out how I want to ship my coins and with the fees, it seems more logical to send as many in as you can afford at once.
Thank you Rob for showing your recent submissions! Doesn't seem to hard of a process if you select all the right options. Good luck with the grading and hope the indian head is a MS64 or even better a MS65.
Cant wait to see what that 1901 IHP Grades along with the CC Morgan. Also i miss the metal detecting videos. DO MORE when you get the opportunity/chance to.
Rob, Thank you for sharing this part of coin collecting, it was very interesting. I always enjoy watching your videos, I learn things, and they continue to spark my curiosity. Thank you again for sharing your time, knowledge, and enthusiasm - it is greatly appreciated.
Thank you, this video was helpful and I think you set a good pace, neither rushed nor too slow. Wow, large fees. You must have been very confident that there would be more than $450 in value gained by having these graded by PCGS?
i only have a few coins that are submittable...but the cost to join and the cost of grading is expensive...after the few coins i have who knows if i would get more to submit...so the cost out weighs my submission
Please do a video on how to verify a pcgs banknote. My graded banknote doesn't have a number or barcode on the front. It's graded Gem New 66PPQ, then no barcode or number under the grade... There is however a number/barcode on the back.
Awesome video! I really appreciate this info. One question, how do you know how much to insure the coin for if it hasn't been graded yet? Do you just go with the highest possible graded value to be safe? Thanks bro.
He probably doesn't and know and how do you prove to FedEx or USPS what exactly is/was in the package to make a claim if lost? USPS doesn't pay claims on piddly items even with photographic proof. I don't trust either of the services.
I found a 1935 Melbourne century florin. So this helps me on getting it graded. Not sure if I should all my coins that have true value.. do they have a limit to how many you can do at once?
That Indian head is sharp. Awesome coin. Do you ever use NGC? I think their slabs have a better look than PCGS and although NGC slabs never seem to sell for as much on ebay as the PCGS slabs, they're usually pretty close. I'm still trying to decide which coin grading service to use on my first sumbittal venture. Your video has me leaning towards PCGS.
Thanks for the video very helpful. I’m considering sending out a 1842-o seated dime the front is in AU/AU+ condition but there are 2 scratches on the reverse. They are hard to see at first but at second glance they are definitely there. Would you bother sending something like that out? Thanks in advance.
If I was sending in something like that I would call their customer service line and ask to speak about it. Might be a more formal way of sending in something that rare.
Awesome! Found the video. Good stuff! Thanks for making this video 😎🤝 is there a specific tape you need to use on the coin flips? I saw pcgs sells a white tape. Would white masking tape be ok?
What if there are attributes on a coin and you didn’t select that option. Will they let you know? Seems odd to get a coin graded and have to pay another $20 bucks for them to add something they will likely see in the grading process. But maybe that’s because I’m cheap and I don’t understand the whole process.
what if I think a penny is red but they do not, then what? I dont know how to grade coins which is why I would use a pcgs or ngc but not after seeing this.

You should make a quick video on what grades you think you will get before they come back and we can see how close your grading skills are!!
hi please see my comment regarding how to ship a silver eagle coin to pcgs. thanks
Just found a 1969penny S mint mark 1922penny D mint mark and a red 1977 penny D mint mark
I need to get them graded or if anyone is interested in them comment back
How does it work if a coin is worth over 2500 dollars do you just submit it and pay for the extra cost? Also what is first strike and what does it do?

Hi Rob, your detailed instructions are absolutely the best!!!

I really excited to see the grade on that IHP. Also glad you're doing a video like this because I've considered having a few things graded eventually
Good luck on the submissions. Look forward to seeing the results.
👍Good luck on your submissions. 🍀🤞. Seems pretty straightforward overall. Thanks for sharing. Have a good day everyone.

Thanks for uploading this video! It's very useful and I hope to find a rare variety to submit it to PCGS
I like to see rob collrctions
They are unique. And i am cpllecting some old coins. Thanks.
Very useful video, Rob. Thanks
My jaw drops every time I see that 1901 cent. WOW! Hope it grades MS65+.

I've always wanted to now how to grade a coin at PCGS
Thank you Rob first time watching . Love you showing us .
I don’t know why but I’m so excited to see the grades of these coins.
Nice coins always wanted a slabbed coin always nice to have it graded and in a holder rather than a coin just laying around and waiting to get lost
I still can't believe you found that Indian Head penny. Someone somewhere is livid that it's missing I bet. Good luck getting an MS 65RD on that.
Man I have a few coins I've wanted to submit but was a little confused on the process and what I should type in. This helps me out a lot!

Thanks. Was thinking about hitting a local dealer up to do my submissions, but looks easy enough to do on my own.
Cool! Thanks for uploading!! I was jast about to submit a 1907 indian that i think can grade a 66 or more
Nice! good luck!
@@RobFindsTreasure thanks i appreciate it
Really cool information, wish you the best with grades :)
Wow, love that Indian cent, good luck & I hope you get a good grade on it Rob👍
Love learning about the details on being a true "collector". Thanks Rob! Hope you get great results.

Now I know. Thank you. I never knew how to do this.
I've got everything crossed I can cross for ya! Can't wait to see your results! Best Of Luck Rob!
Good morning, What if you don't know your Morgan has a VAM. Will they call it out if you don't know? Thanks for a great video.
Thanks Rob for the guidance! The Mat made it no problem! APO was fast!🇺🇸🇨🇱
Excited to see what they come back graded with. I enjoy these videos. Just a little different but adds great content!
V'ger estimates MS-66 for the 1901 copper disc unit.
Holy Sh^t that cost A LOT! It's crazy how they have capitalized on other peoples finds! What's even crazier is you're doing 75% of the work for them!
Love your videos. You sound a bit like Jason Lee. :)
Great job explaining the process. I just became a PCGS member a couple of weeks ago and the process is confusing but not anymore thanks to you.
I have a 1921 morgan dollar , 1922 peace dollar and 1925 and it is cleaned did PCGS grade
Thank you, this video was helpful and I think you set a good pace, neither rushed nor too slow. Wow, large fees. You must have been very confident that there would be more than $450 in value gained by having these graded by PCGS?

Yeah, that was cool. I had no idea about the process and found it very interesting. Excellent and comprehensive video. Thanks, Rob.
I was hoping you would show the inside of the box for how to pack. Any tips on what to use to keep the coins secure during transit?
Thanks alot been wondering how the process goes! Still curious how it would go here from Canada but still very informative so thanks!

Thanks for the information. Good luck on the grades.
Awesome video!! Can’t wait to see the grade on that IHP!
just bought a 1892 barber dime graded pr65 by ngc. it definitely looks cameo and definitely looks higher than a 65 so itll be going to pcgs
This was a big help for a first time submitter, like me. Many Thanks!

So they will alert you if your coin grades higher? Awesome I wonder if it is the same for errors.
Only if the higher grade makes the value of the coin so much more that it costs more to insure it. Then they add the extra charge for the insurance.
Awesome! Found the video. Good stuff! Thanks for making this video 😎🤝 is there a specific tape you need to use on the coin flips? I saw pcgs sells a white tape. Would white masking tape be ok?
